Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
What part(s) would work for her? This is disappointing, since it means that LEGO could have given Black Panther printed legs by giving Shuri plain ones, and it would not have affected the accuracy of the sets. π Do you think that this outfit was based on concept art for the purple tracksuit, or something else? How does the sub differ from the movie version (design, scale, etc?)? Spoiler question: The accent is on the second syllable, per Namor himself (Promotional clip). -

Both the new 501st helmet (standard printing, but with holes) and the blue visor have leaked from the same Instagram account (check the main hashtag). Since the 2020 pack was not a LEGO exclusive, you can probably still find a few more from Amazon/Target/Walmart/etc before the set retires. -

We are getting a new $20 501st Battle Pack next year, with Minifigs based on the BF2 Clone Trooper classes (Specialist, Heavy (2x), Officer). -

It just looks grey with a dark secondary colour through the scope, but not definitively either blue or red. You are correct about the continuity error from the time that it is in formation until the shot right before the droid runs up the stairs, though. π -

The gunship that Fordo used on Muunilinst is a standard LAAT/i (minus the turrets), though; you are thinking of the one from Hypori. -

We are not getting a Gunship for $140, since that is how much the AT-TE costs, and gunships are always larger and more expensive; it would be at least $160. Also, I added the Hailfire Tank to bulk up the set and justify the potential $180 price point, as well as the seven Minifigs with new prints and moulds. I highly doubt that LEGO would switch from the printed Kamas that they have been using recently, but the pauldrons would obviously be cloth elements (also, Fordo could never double as a standard P1 Clone Captain, since he has an ammo pouch that would need to be printed onto his torso). -

Considering that we got an AT-TE this year, a LAAT/i next year seems like a natural followup. I can actually see us getting a version of the Muunilinst 10βs original gunship (which was just a standard LAAT/i, albeit without the bubble turrets). A standard gunship (turrets would be removable) with Fordo, two Pilots (new helmet), two ARC Lieutenants, two P1 Shinies (reused from the accessory pack), three Geonosis B1s, and a Hailfire Droid priced around $160-$180 seems reasonable and plausible. -
10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Classic_Spaceman replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I do not think that is the case; Kingdoms and Castle 2013 ran concurrently with LotR and The Hobbit, with all medieval/fantasy lines coming to an end in 2014. Dwindling sales over a 1-2 year period does not really explain why a theme that had run constantly (with only a few off-years) since 1984 would be unceremoniously canned, nor why only two years later we would get Castle retooled as a sci-fi theme (Nexo Knights). My theory is that by 2013-2014, Game of Thrones had become an undeniable cultural phenomenon, and LEGO wanted to avoid comparisons between their products and the show. This explains why traditional Castle ended so suddenly, and why when we finally got castles and knights again, they had a distinctly non-medieval aesthetic.- 2,976 replies

I am not sure about Solo, but I definitely see us getting some R1 remakes in the coming years, due to the popularity of Andor. As for Rebels, while there will be things that overlap with Ahsoka (such as the Ghost, which seems to survive through TRoS), I think that the series will be revisited after Ahsoka popularises the characters with live-action-only audiences. -

Sabine is confirmed for Ahsoka (played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo), and there is NO way that we are not getting sets for that! -
I just saw the witch hat/hair piece (Somewhat squashed-looking black hat, purple band with silver stars and crescent moon, Satin Trans-Light Blue hair), and it absolutely looks like something from VIDIYO; either Dreamzzzz is going to be a soft reboot/continuation of VIDIYO, or some unused Minifigs are going to show up in Series 24. π€

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Classic_Spaceman replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ah; I forgot about that. π While I do hope that the third Series will be Marvel, I would absolutely take a Fortnite Series (looking at the various skins, I see a lot of potential for useful new moulds/prints/etc). -

A Fortnite Battle Bus is rumoured, which means that Fortnite skins are a possibility for future CMF lines! BTW, while there are dinosaur-themed skins in the game, I cannot find any that are actual anthropomorphic dinos (just costumes), so the headphone triceratops part that leaked is not part of a Fortnite CMF. -

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

I had forgotten about those. π Even so, the majority of GWPs (particularly the ones that tie into themes and sets that LEGO releases) do not have exclusive prints. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
LEGO has included many small references to past themes in sets simply as Easter eggs, though, so I would not consider the Blacktron contact on the GE radar screen to be an βobviousβ hint except in hindsight. BTW, it is worth noting that LEGO does not make exclusive prints for GWPs, so if there is a Blacktron Minifig in this set, all printed pieces used will reappear in a normal set! -

Unless they go with the blue fire version, Johnny and Danny look basically the same (Danny just has grey pants and (more) spikes), so I am hoping for the former. We can make a purist Danny with Johnny's head and torso, dark grey legs, and silver shoulder-spikes. I am wondering if the "mech" actually is a villain - Characters like Venom and Carnage (though highly oversaturated in LEGO form) lend themselves well to brickbuilt renditions. π€ -

This is really disappointing (though understandable); I had stepped away from the game for a while because I was having some major issues with Depression, but I had hoped to rejoin once I was feeling better (which I am now, BTW). I appreciate the advice that I received in improving as a player, and I hope to be able to make use of it at some point in the future.

The concern is that there will not be a Deadpool Minifig, since he could be associated with the R-rated movies.
