LEGO Ninjago 2023 Discussion

I can see something along the lines of the season’s Mcguffin being the prize for winning the race, or the Mcguffins being located along the race’s route. -

I do not think so; the name is "Kai and Ras/Ra's Car and Motorcycle Battle", so the set will include two vehicles for two characters. The "Ninja Assault Ship: Race Against Time" does suggest that the Time Twins are returning, but I also think that this will be a racing season. See "Nya Dragon Power: Drifting Spinjitzu", "Zane Dragon Power: Spinjitzu Competition Sport Car", and "Sora's Mecca Transformable Racing Bike". "Mecca" is absolutely a mistranslation of "Mecha", so this will be a mech for whoever the Empress is. -

According to @exabrickslegogo_ on Instagram, there is a new video game theme coming in 2023 codenamed "Lemon". Could this be LEGO Games, or something else? 🤔 -

While there is no direct evidence of a Gunship, there is some significant circumstantial evidence: 1.) LEGO has always released AT-TEs and Republic Gunships together or back-to-back, so we are 'due' for one; 2.) 2023 is the 20th Anniversary of the Clone Wars (and 15th of TCW) and there is a Clone army-builder in the 1HY lineup; and 3.) $160 is a logical price-point for a new Gunship. -

I agree. It looks like we have three possible configurations (without changing arms or hands): Standard, CMF, and Standard torso with CMF legs. The standard design works well for knights and more heavily-armoured soldiers (men-at-arms), the CMF makes a great archer, and the standard torso with CMF legs looks good for lighter footsoldiers or heavier archers. Overall, I really like the diversity/customisability that the new figure allows, and I hope that LEGO continues to make similar Minifigs. -

Baxter Building? $200 seems a bit small, though. Maybe a Hall of Justice for DC? -

This looks good, like a more lightly-armoured footsoldier. 👍 How does the CMF torso look with the regular legs? -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

To me, leaving M;Tron and Blacktron II with just their logos would make them look like they are wearing t-shirts instead of spacesuits. I feel like Blacktron II would need some armour plating on the torso, while M;Tron needs a rugged high-visibility jumpsuit (for either mining or rescue). -

I can see us getting something for Aquaman 2 or Shazam 2, with the latter being a more likely candidate for the delayed set (since the movie was originally scheduled to release in April 2022). -

While the contents seem to be more of the same, these names sound interesting. It seems that Ras, Sora, and Arin are new characters (perhaps Ninja?), and that the season will have a racing theme. I hope that the Ninjas' suits have a racing design with a new mask piece that looks like a helmet. -

Another one: June 2023 75358 - Star Wars 4+ Set (124 Pieces) Edit: This is the $40 set from the first list; I am not happy! Is @thebrickreporter reliable? The price is high even for a 4+ set, and the original list has this set releasing in August, not June. -

Agreed; $200 is both too high and too low for a Nebulon-B (too high for a mini/midi-scale model, and too low for anything that can fit Minifigs). Unfortunately, I doubt that. $160 would work for the Mantis, but that slot is almost certainly a Gunship (since $200 is too high for one). BTW, I figured out what the $35 set (75360) could be: An Imperial V-Wing from TBB. The price fits the size, and it seems to be the main enemy fighter in the show. Between the accessory packs never being in-stock (and unavailable except from LEGO.com and LEGO stores) and TLG's recent reduction of disposable plastic packaging, I can see these being boxed three-Minifig sets with a normal release. At least, I hope that is what these are! -

None of the Star Wars 4+ sets have been under $20, so I am not sure that is what these are (unless LEGO is going the Super Heroes route and making smaller 4+ sets with one reused Minifig and one new one 🤔). -

Right, and a 2HY 2024 release would give LEGO enough time to figure out how to include all of the ship's features and moving parts. -

Good point, though are Advent Calendars generally listed along with regular sets? Ahsoka is releasing in 2023, most likely later in the year, so it could be something for that (like the Ghost, or maybe even the Chimera). Dank farrik!! 😡 What else could they be, then? I thought about that, but the $160 set is almost certainly a Gunship, and I do not think that the Fondor was popular enough during the time that these sets were being designed to justify a $200 set (which also seems rather steep). I expect that we will get the Fondor, but likely not until 2024. -

Pricyplasticproduct is a reliable leaker. I think that the April sets are for GotG3 and the May ones are for Quantumania and The Marvels respectively, though I may be wrong. I doubt that we will be getting the X-Mansion, but a $100 Blackbird around the same size as the new Quinjet would be amazing! -

My predictions: 75363 $15 - Accessory Pack (Imperial Army or Security Troopers from Andor, or maybe Endor Rebels to go with the 4+ AT-ST?) Not sure. 75368 $15 - Accessory Pack (TBB Imperial Troopers (2 P2 Shinies and 1 TK Trooper), perhaps, or the Muunilinst 10 (Fordo, 2 ARC Lieutenants)?) Not sure. 75360 $35 - Small starfighter; maybe Plo Koon's JSF, an A-Wing, or a Snowspeeder. Edit: Imperial V-Wing? 75358 $40 - Army-builder vehicle with generic troopers and one named character (Republic Swamp Speeder with Luminara and three Clones (442nd?), Imperial speeder from Andor with 2 Security Troopers, a Stormtrooper, and a named Imperial Officer (Dedra Meero, or maybe even Captain Tigo or Lieutenant Keysax)?) 75366 $45 - Another starfighter; I am leaning towards the V-19 Torrent because of the Clone Wars 20th anniversary. Edit: Possibly an Advent Calendar. 75365 $160 - Republic Gunship 75371 $200 - The Ghost, or perhaps the Chimera? Stinger Mantis? Not likely, IMO, but possible. -

I am guessing that it will be a Republic LAAT/i, not an Imperial one, since we got a Republic AT-TE this year. Over the past few years, LEGO has made army-builder vehicles with generic troopers priced at $40, so I assume that this will continue into 2023. I just realised - What if the $200 set is the Ghost?? The Razor Crest was $140, and the Ghost would need to be larger and more detailed, so $200 makes sense.
