I assume that it has something to do with the new helmet mould. -
LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Agreed, though I wish that LEGO had fixed the printing issue. π -
We got three costumes in Series 19 after the costume-themed Series 18, and we have been getting at least two costumes per series since the reduction to twelve Minifigs in Series 21 (which actually had three costumes). I expect that we will get two in Series 24, though I would definitely prefer normal Minifigs.
-
Since we get at least two costumes in each regular series, I expect the same for Series 24. While Itaria did not say anything specifically about costume figures, there are a few hints that are vague enough that they could be describing costumes. Ah; while I do not think that it is "obviously" a costume (it could be something like a relatively generic City-style figure), it is one of the hints that could be.

The Heavyβs helmet has gaps between the fin and the top printing (like the 212th), which casts doubt on the leaked regular 501st helmet (which has its top printing closer to the fin). -
There is most likely going to be a costume in this series, but the Minifigs that I listed are not costumes. #2, #4, #5, #9, and #10 could be costumes, with #2, #4, and #5 being the most likely candidates IMO. True, but Itariaβs exact quote was: The wording connects #1 to a purple counterpart in a previous series, and I cannot really see a new crayon colour generating this kind of excitement.

What we know: 1.) New Classic Space colour. 6.) Devil? 7.) Leaked Orc. 8.) Soccer Player/Referee (a player seems more likely, IMO). 11.) Animal Conservationist/Photographer with either a fox, beaver, koala, kangaroo, panda, bear cub, or fawn. 12.) Classic Castle faction remake (probably a Black Knight). I know, which is why I initially put her down as having been made. When I revisited the list, I included her as a possibility for #6 only because the Series 9 figure did not include the flying dress part seen in the concept. If we get a gender-swap of a previous Minifig, I can see it being a βGamer Girlβ archetype (with a new cat-ear headphones piece?), since there is an esports tournament truck in the 1HY City sets, and LEGO has often used the CMF line as a way to produce new moulds (and, recently, prints) for use in other themes.

Of the concept Minifigs that I said had been produced, the ones that have not been recreated entirely are: the Punk (we have gotten Minifigs with mohawks, but not this specific design), Marilyn Monroe (we did not get the flying dress piece), the Knife-Wielding Werewolf (we have gotten werewolves in and out of the CMF line (to include a LRRH one), but none with quite this design), Marie Antoinette (we got a queen with this dress piece, but without this specific hair), the Good/Bad/Ugly Cowboys (we have gotten cowboys and bandits, but not this specific trio), the Devil (we got a costume, not an actual devil/demon), Artemis (we got Athena), the Riot Spaceball Marine (we have gotten pieces of this through different figures, but not this actual Minifig), the Big-Brain Alien (again, we have gotten pieces of this, to include aliens with exposed brains (Alien Conquest and the CMF Alien Queen), but not this specific design), and the Xenomorph. I think that the G/B/U Cowboys can be ruled out, since they really only work as a trio (otherwise, they are just generic cowboys/bandits), along with the Xenomorph, since that design is too specific and non-archetypal for LEGO to make without a license. That leaves the Punk, Marilyn, Werewolf, Marie Antoinette, Devil, Artemis, Space-Riot Marine-Baller, and Big-Brain Alien. The Punk and Werewolf are too generic for Itariaβs description, and Marilyn, Artemis, and Big-Brain Alien are too archetypal for βfinallyβ status. The options left are: Marie Antoinette, Devil, and Space Marine Riot-Ball Player. Of these, I am leaning towards the Devil, since religious figures are not something that LEGO has made in the past (having begun only recently with Monkie Kid and CNY). TL;DR: #6 is the Devil. π I was thinking of the purple Classic Space torso that we got in Series 22 (with helmet and airtanks appearing in a new CNY set), so I think that #1 will be a Classic Space Minifig. Itaria ruled out an Elf, so this will be a classic Castle redesign.

If by βnext Sundayβ, you are referring to November 20th (tomorrow), then #8 is a soccer player (tying into the World Cup). No goat. βΉοΈ Options are: Fox, beaver, koala, kangaroo, panda, bear cub, fawn. Minifig would probably be a conservationist/wildlife photographer. YES!!! Castle factions that have not been rereleased: Yellow Castle Era (Chevrons, Trefoils, Cross, Split, Checkerboard, Tricolour), Black Knights, Dragon Masters, Wolfpack (unless we count the Rogue that had a Wolfpack brooch), Royal Knights, and Dark Forest (though their overlap with Forestmen makes this an unlikely option). Of these, the Black Knights and Wolfpack were both teased by the instructions for the Lion Knightsβ Castle, and the Chevrons, Trefoils, and Split factions appeared in the set by way of their shields. I suspect that the Minifig will be a Black Knight; knights are more massable than the Wolfpack are, and the Black Knights are a conspicuous absence from the Lionsβ Castle (since the Falcons, Lions, Forestmen, and Black Knights all existed concurrently). Then #6 is one of the ones that I marked as βdoneβ? π€ Maybe, but it seems that Itaria is saying that the Minifig is funny (which a fisherman would not be). Maybe a clock costume for Series 24, since there are 24 hours in a day?

Row 1: Done / Done / Done (as a guitarist) / Done / Not done / Done (as a costume) / Not done / Not done Row 2: Done / Done / Not sure what this is / Done / Not done / Not really done (we got a king, but with an entirely different design) / Done (as a skateboarder) Row 3: Not done / Not really done (we have gotten mummies and warriors, but no mummy-warrior) / Not done / Not done / Done Row 4: Done / Not done / Not done (also not quite sure what it is) / Done / Not really done (we got a genie, but no evil counterpart) / Done Row 5: Done / Done / Done / Done / Done / Done Row 6: Done (as a child's costume) / Not done / Done / Done / Done / Done (sort of; we got a Greek goddess, but she was based more on Athena than Artemis) Row 7: Done, actually! / Done, I suppose? (Football-playing riot space marine?) / Not done / Not done / Not done / Done, sort of / Not an option This leaves the possibilities as: Einstein, Geppetto, Pinocchio, Evil Queen, Fat King, Greek/Atlantean? Warrior, Mummy Warrior, Fairy Queen, Witch Queen, Buddhist Monk, Martial-Arts Master(?), Evil Genie (maybe), Angel, Space Riot Sportsballer (maybe), Little Pig, and 5000 IQ Alien (maybe). Of these, I would really only give "finally" status to the king (for the new torso/torso-attachment) and the angel (for its religious connotations), and maybe the sports-marine for just how odd it is; all others are generically archetypal enough that I would not see them described as specifically coming from this chart.

There have been two new generic trooper variants in Andor; Army Troopers and Security Troopers. Army Troopers have new olive green shirts and pants with either olive caps or black Mudtrooper armour; the Security Troopers wear the same uniform, but entirely in black. -
I think that @Itaria No Shintaku would have given a different clue for aliens (maybe connecting it to clue #1), and would have referenced the moulded head for the three pigs. Also, we already got a Marie Antoinette via the Series 15 Queen. Is it the greatest of all time, perhaps? Or is that too much to hope for?

New CS spaceman colour; maybe gold for the 90th (91st) Anniversary? π€ Most fake Minifigs are licensed characters, so I am not quite sure what this will be. Maybe something from JttW (like a more traditional-looking DBK), since that is both a common inspiration for Chinese brands and something that LEGO does not already make. Which of the concept Minifigs have not been produced yet? Orc confirmed. π @Itaria No Shintaku: Are you referring to a LEGO event, or a non-LEGO event? Since Number 7 is the already-leaked Orc, this is probably another Medieval/fantasy character. We already got a knight in Series 23, so maybe an Elf?

LEGO Ninjago 2022
Classic_Spaceman replied to Gangikhan448's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
These look good, and I like the direction that Ninjago seems to be heading! π Sets: Jay's jet is weak, and would have worked better as a side/combiner build in a larger set. Kai's car is nothing special, but it is cute, so I may pick it up. Lloyd's Mech Battle is a decent continuation of the Core mechs, and I would not mind an ongoing Nexo Knights/Marvel-style mech gimmick for Ninjago. Cole's Earth Dragon is a bit small, but I really like the design; very prehistoric, and almost like a fantasy demon boss-villain. Kai's Mech Rider is crazy (a motorcycle for a mech that is wielding a spear twice its height!), and it looks quite good. Jay's mech is absolutely brilliant; the unconventional design and massive sword really set it apart from past mechs. My only criticism is that the ankles are a bit spindly, but that should be easy to fix. Zane's dragon is also a standout; the hefty six-legged design is cool and unconventional, and the build has a very good balance of living-creature-to-ice-construct. The secondary mech build is not great, but a meh alternate model does not take away from the main model/set, IMO. The brick box is surprisingly good, with some nice dojo temple models and two new trainees. Minifigs: Most of the Minifigs are reuses of the existing Core suits, which is not really disappointing as much it feels like a missed opportunity for some new designs. That said, I get why LEGO would want to give Core some consistency (since it is intended to be Ninjago's most basic elements), and I appreciate that it frees up the part budget for 2HY storyline sets. We do get one new addition to the Core Ninja lineup, though, with golden Lloyd; I might pick up the Mech Battle for him. The villains, on the other hand, look very good, and I like that we are getting a new type of villain in Core (rather than just rehashed snakes). I count four different types of these bone demon-things: Bone King (red with black cape, samurai helmet with bone horns), Bone Knight 1 (chain torso print, new jaw piece (!), Mr. F helmet, and MotM armour), Bone Knight 2 (same as BK1, but with a red straw had and no armour), and Bone Warrior (wrappings(?) torso print and Black Panther ears as horns). Really my only problem with these guys is the frequency with which Bone King appears (three out of the six sets with bone-villains). Overall, I like that Ninjago is branching out with respect to villains (particularly in Core), and that the theme is embracing some more outlandish, rule-of-cool set designs. -

It really does not seem that big; it is eight studs wide including the wheels, and slightly taller than the truck that comes with the 2022 fire station. Overall, it seems to be roughly the same scale as 60276, albeit a bit longer. -

The truck looks good, from what I can see; it seems nicely-detailed, and I like the addition of white and reduction of neon yellow to accent stripes. π Also, what looks like a clever use of this piece for the rear mudguards. -
Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think that AoS can be canon to the main 616/199999 universe up through Season 4. Season 5b, Season 6, and the end of Season 7 seem to take place in an alternate timeline, but it is not quite clear how it formed. One possibility is that the Agents ended up in another universe when they returned to the present, since they did not reappear at the exact moment that they left (hence the Avengersβ need for their space-time GPSs), but that does not explain how Fitz could travel to the future of another universe (remember that the Earth remained shattered after the Agents returned to the present) and remain in the present of the S5b/S6 universe via cryosleep. More likely, since Fitz did not actively hop universes, is that the Time Monolith caused a rupture in the 616/199999 timeline when it activated, and the future that we see in Season 5a is an offshoot of the offshoot that was created when the monolith opened (that is, the 5b/6 universe). TL;DR: The activation of the Time Monolith and the Quake-Graviton battle are Nexus Events that caused splits in their respective timelines. -

No Doom confirmed, then? Is that the right length? Ririβs hair in the comics matches the piece that LEGO gave her, so I assume that they were working from earlier concept art. As for Shuri, I am not sure what you mean; the piece that LEGO used looks close to her Endgame appearance. Movie Minifig
