LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

They cost less to produce (one (sometimes reused) Minifig vs. 3-4 new or partially-reused Minifigs) and have more play-value for children. π -

2019βs Praetorian Guard pack had an exclusive helmet, 2018βs Imperial pack had an exclusive Patrol Trooper helmet, 2016βs First Order pack had an exclusive crew cap, and 2013βs TOR pack had an exclusive Republic Trooper helmet. -

A combination of transparent limbs and solid light blue, torsos, hands, and hair is possible, based on past Minifigs in themes like Ninjago and VIDIYO. -

The issue was with the old material for transparent parts, not the new ABS material. We actually have a better chance of getting Force ghosts now than we did a few years ago. -

Less the helmet holes and more the Macrobinoculars, IMO. There was literally no reason to make the part, unless they plan to make a Bly Minifig. The Tantive IV would make a great diorama set, though that would inevitably be too large to serve as an army-builder. Wow. Thanks for ruining Snowtroopers for me! π¬ Felucia is the 327th (Star Corps). -

Not really a minority view, IMO; I would love something like a Stormtrooper 2x, Scout Trooper, Imperial Officer (Lieutenant) Battle Pack! The 41st is the other possible unit, not the 442nd. The 41st were commanded by Gree and wore forest camouflage on Kashyyyk, while the 442nd were commanded by Verd and wore white armour with green markings on Cato Neimoidia. π -

Which set are we guessing? Is it the $650 one? If so, my bet would be the leaked Sail Barge. -

That seems unlikely, unless the set also includes an AT-RT. I agree completely! π -

I can see them making the Imperial speeder from the finale, as well. -

And Wolffe!!! I hope that LEGO realises now how popular Clones are, and is getting ahead of the inevitable complaining by having prominent Clones and units already in development (the Swamp Speeder seems like a step in the right direction in this regard). -

With Jedi Bob, right??? You joke (I think), but it takes LEGO about 1-1.5 years to produce a set, so when adding the time that it takes for LEGO to see interest in a specific Minifig and finally release a set with said Minifig, the two-year turnaround time is actually fairly accurate. Also, NWH was released in 2021, and we are finally getting a spoiler set for it this year: 2021-2023 = two years. -

The 442nd is possible, but the Macrobinoculars make me think that we will get the 327th. Also, there is no associated Clone Commander (Verd has not been pictured anywhere) or Jedi (Plo Koon is more strongly associated with the Wolfpack) that could appear if we get the 442nd. Three! π -

The BF2 designs are Canon, along with both RotS designs (Coruscant and Kashyyyk). Only Luke, Wedge, and Evaan Verlaine (Gold Three) do! -

@FoggyFate said that the set is based solely on ANH, so neither of these characters will appear. π I suspect that the Minifig breakdown will either be Luminara/Gree/41st 2x or Aayla/Bly/327th 2x. -

Popularity aside, the Slave I Microfighter included TBoBF Boba, so the figure is still in production and could be included in the mech. -

And confirmed to be OT? Only the Prequel sets have been confirmed as remakes, so this could be something else; I am leaning more towards a UCS ship, in light of the high price and part-count. A little, considering the price, but unless Mando has a new helmet print or Grogu has a Beskar chainmail shirt print, I do not see the appeal (as I have both characters via other sets). BTW, any more information on the Swamp Speeder? Price, Minifigs, etc? -

Yavin IV!! About kriffing time!!! π About half of the 12+ Minifigs will almost certainly be the core OT characters in their respective Celebration outfits; the remaining six are probably some combination of Dodonna, Biggs, Dutch Vander (for the Y-wing), Rebel technicians, and Rebel Fleet Troopers. I can also see us getting Mon Mothma, since she was present at the base in Rebels/R1. I am curious whether the Swamp Speeder is based on Kashyyyk or Felucia - It was seen on both planets in RotS, and while LEGO is fond of making Kashyyyk sets, the new macrobinoculars part suggests that Bly is on the way. π€ Mechs and Microfighters?? Ugh. I was OK with mechs being the new one-Minifig gimmick series, but not both (unless Mando has a new helmet print). π
