LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I doubt that, since the only things that would make it specific to that scene are 1-2 Minifigs (who could be confused for other characters in low-res leaks, so there is no real reason to keep the set tightly under wraps); we will know in a few days, though, depending on if the set is revealed by next week. It looks PDG to me. Like this: [Spooler] Text [/Spooler] -
Useful Pirate Pieces from other Themes?

A Jawa torso and Greef Karga's S1 torso both appeared in BAM. -
Lego Dreamzzz 2023

Maybe, but the pit crew monkeys seem to be using pieces from Monkie Kid, and I expect that Dreamzzz will be getting new moulds for its main characters. -

Not even that, since Gideon could be piloting the TIE. The Clan Kryze Mando is really the only guarantee. Most sets that are not army builders or single-figure mechs/Microfighters do tend to follow this pattern (some exceptions do exist, though; namely starfighters). -

I posted about it here: I agree about the cars, and I hope that we get some tie-in sets.

That was an issue in the past when LEGO was using Polycarbonate for transparent pieces, but the new MABS material is similar enough to the standard ABS that there should not be any problems with making transparent Minifigs in the future. -

More recent leaks indicate that Ah; I misunderstood. That said, we do know that the leaked Mando will be Male, since the helmet has a straight visor. -

All that has been reported is How does the leaked Mando look like Man-Thing?? -

I can see that; a book would probably be the only way that we would get spaghettified Reed, but Iron Man or Spider-Man seem more likely to me. -

Per leaks, Gideon so I can see him showing up in this set (especially since the official reveal is not until after the season finale). Like this: [Spooler] Text [/Spooler] -

Mando Battle Pack, Trexler Marauder, Dark Trooper Attack, Pirate Snub Fighter. Technically also Boba's throne room, since the scene depicted in the set is from the ending scene of Mando S2. Gorian Shard? While we might get him and his flagship at some point, he is not going to appear in the Fang Fighter vs. TIE Interceptor set. -

Ah; I can see that. Also, Satine's guards were Protectors, so the ones on Concord Dawn could just have been a portion of them (or more Mandos were recruited into the Protectors after Bo-Katan united the clans). -

The armour-mask piece looks good, but I would have preferred it to be dual-moulded. I agree about it working well even without the top half, and it think that it would look great with the headband hairpieces (perhaps we will get this pairing in 2024?). BTW, while the ribbon can fit into the scabbard slits, there is no hole specifically for it. -

Fenn Rau featured prominently in Rebels, though, so I doubt Filoni would disregard that! -

I missed that! I just assumed that it was 18+, as it is a UCS model. This makes J:FO/J:S sets more likely. π -

Odd; I wonder if LEGO had incorrect/insufficient information about the game at the time. I am not sure that the existence of the buildable BD-1 necessarily means that we will get regular sets, through, as LEGO might justify making it because it is 18+. π I do hope that I am wrong, though. At least this is completely unconvincing, unlike the 442nd "leak". -

Source? Also, this makes no sense; the game is no more violent/graphic than other Star Wars media. We got an AT-OT, which only appears during the Order 66 scene on Felucia. Additionally, if we did not get characters based on their involvement in Order 66, we would not have gotten Sith Anakin or Stass Allie and movie Aayla Secura (both of whom were very minor background characters in AotC). -

They would be great to get, though we would definitely need either a dual-moulded or two-piece Snowtrooper helmet, since I am not sure that the proper effect can be achieved just by printing the existing part. -

Screenshots and information about a game called "LEGO 2K Drive" have appeared. From Reddit: "LEGO 2K Drive PVP multiplayer gameplay is a "Mario Kart like" spin on the classic LEGO racing games we all know and love. There are many levels to choose from ranging from 2 to 5 minute races, and include lap races and sprint races, with multiple terrain and vehicle types such as on-road, off-road and water, with the vehicle changing automatically while driving. Items/Powerups include: Jumping, Mines, Teleport, Ghost, Homing Missiles, EMP, Food Blaster, Web Crasher and Brick Wheels. You can also create custom vehicles as in other LEGO racing games." -

Even if the head on the leaked Mando is wrong, he still cannot be Fenn Rau; note the Clan Kryze/Nite Owls βVβ-shaped marking on the helmet. The spider mech actually looks great, and Bo-Katan is amazing, though I would have liked the cyborg pilot and Dinβs cage to be included (and maybe an Alamite, since the set is $50). The Darksaber mould is excellent as well, and while I would prefer it to be dual-moulded, I am OK with it being solid black because lightsaber blades are also simplified in LEGO form. I also just realised that Insider Bricks was the first to suggest that Rex would be in the Swamp Speeder (IIRC), so given their unreliability, perhaps he will not be included. π€ -

I wonder if Jabba's throne room got pushed back to coincide with the release of the Sail Barge (whenever that happens).
