  1. With Griphook and the DA exclusive Harry in the AC I’m wondering if the whole AC is DA themed? Maybe what the ‘boardgame‘ play feature is is a map of DA with each day being a representation of a shop? I Hope the green roofs are just temporary and they go back to grey for the rest of the theme, this year seems to be to heavy on new ‘gimmicks’ and nostalgia for the sake of nostalgia and not so much on building on the new system established... Many of the new figures sound great though, I expect in time I’m going to mod a lot of the castle sets to integrate them together properly
  2. I’m quite surprised and have mixed feelings over these. I wish the Chamber of Secrets was another part of the castle like the library instead of the Hall again, both it and the chamber are going to be a bit thin in detail I fear. I assume the staircase tower includes the chamber sink entrance, hopefully with a slide! I love that we are getting more new students and Professor Sinistra, very welcome! But then also strange to not get Pomfrey instead due to the connection to all the petrified victims... I also would happily pay much more for the bathroom and Hogsmeade sets: no Slytherin Common room! Fluffy’s construction sounds literally perfect! I guess we will get the winged keys etc another year? The AC is a big gear-change to our expectations, but i’m wondering if the ‘Dudley’ in pyjamas is acutely Neville? That would make more sense to combine it with the other sets... Cant wait to hear what the winter wave is going to include!
  3. I can see them doing anniversary sets with 1 yellow figure each, so if there is 4 sets I would look at those from 2001 which have not been remade yet: 1 Gringots Bank, we already expect this this year. This one won’t connect with the others. 2 Troll on the Loose, bathroom build with a Grawp like troll 3 Philosophers Stone Challenges 4 Flying Lesson? Maybe with a wall for Neville to get stuck on. Then the yellow figure are the trio and maybe Dumbledore
  4. Hi guys just to let you know I recently created an Instagram profile for my Harry Potter mods and mocs, including video instructions for my popular Headmasters Tower for the Great Hall set: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKtbdsNpXGu/?igshid=wshvufnol5p2 The profile name is ‘mylegoharrypotter’ please check it out as I’m uploading some content never seen before! Thanks
  5. I’m happy for a Slug Club/HBP themed AC for this year, it might be weaker than last year but it would mean there is more left to do for future years. In 2022 we could have a Bill’s Wedding or Godric's Hollow AC, then in 2023 a Hogsmeade AC, then 2024 Grimmauld Place/Burrow AC etc The 2019 AC wasn’t just a Yule Ball party set but also a general ‘GoF AC’ with the Golden egg, Goblet of Fire, Trophy Cup, mini Ship and Carriage etc. So for example in a Slug Club AC we could get a new Pensive build, the memory cabinet, stuff from Slughorns house or office etc Figure wise I would pick: Harry, Hermione and Slughorn as repeats, New Draco and Cormac, new Ron in quidditch training gear I would love one of the daily gifts to be a set of quidditch balls, I want more of that fantastic Snitch!
  6. Actually that sounds interesting...: Slytherin locket/cave book: Dumbledore, Harry, infari (green skeletons) etc in the cave, boat is a side build Ravenclaw Diadem/RoR Book: Goyle, Hermione, Harry etc brick built fire dragon and stacks of furniture etc Hufflepuff cup/volt book: Griphook, Harry, Ron etc. Lots of treasure and a fold-out volt door Cant see them do a diary version however as that would overlap too much with a proper CoS set I think They could work well if they made new moulds/prints for each of the horcruxes Also welcome!!
  7. I would split into two sets: Ship and platform together, as both are above the waterline (the box art will look better), and the platform can double as a dock for the ship and display stand for extra figures like judges etc (good way to get Barty Crouch Sr, however Rita is a popular choice for CMF). Then the underwater scene as a separate smaller set. Figures wise you start off with having a different version of Krum in each (arrival coat, shark head respectively), and maybe 2 merpeople figures too in the lake task set. Agree %100, the dragon and street level building can each hold a set on their own I think, and you can have different figure selections in both (PS, DH etc)
  8. I would expect 2 Chess figures as suggested by others, maybe also Filch again, Neville in his pyjamas? Maybe even Snape and pretend it’s Halloween ? https://makeagif.com/gif/long-feng-cant-handle-it-by-himself-qTHoCI
  9. Ooo another morsel of info to overanalyse ? At 11p/B Looks like the $130 set has the worst ratio, so could we take that as an indication of some large pieces (boat hulls?, large base plates), or a large moulded creature?
  10. If you are in the uk I may be interested :) I use eBay
  11. I am expecting the Slug Club too, we should expect three repeats and three new figures so I’m hoping for the other notable characters which have lines in the scene at the Christmas party: Draco in his suit and Cormac McLaggen, but I don’t have an idea for the third figure. For builds I’m expecting some more food tables from the party, another red lantern tree, and maybe some of the furniture from Slughorn’s office like his large personal potion case. Possibly a miniature astronomy tower? A purple armchair to represent Slughorn in disguise?
  12. Hahahaha! Surely Charity Babbage Should come with Nagini!
  13. Thanks for the positive feedback guys I appreciate it ? I agree, with the exception of flying lesson Neville (I’m nostalgic for the old remembrall) and Luna with the Thestral I don’t get much joy from all the variations of these three, and would definitely want to retain the ‘extras’ slots for the missing adult characters from outside Hogwarts if the series got cut down I couldn’t think of a good accessory for her unfortunately, she doesn’t have anything in hand at Malfoy Manor or Shell Cottage :/ A few things I’m not satisfied with which you guys could help me with ideas: An accessory for Narcissa A better ‘evil’ character for series 5 If we removed the lake task figures what could replace the Krum slot? Cho in winter clothes perhaps? Or Kate with the cursed necklace?
  14. Been working on this for a couple of weeks while stuck at home over Christmas, and I’m quite pleased with the end result... I have put the first 2 HP CMF into a spreadsheet, attempted to draw out a pattern/formula for a 16 figure lineup and then used that template to populate as many further CMF series as I could, and I ended with 5 total! This is assuming of course that the future HP CMF series still have 16 Minifigures, which may not be the case, I also ignored the FB characters completely: I have tried to have a fair balance of female figures and at least one BAME representation in each series, in addition to new moulded animals/ magical objects. The biggest challenge was coming up with 5 interesting Luna Lovegood variations, which ending up with her ‘wedding’ self kicking out her father from the same scene into a wedding set/AC. Hope this gets you guys excited at least to see how much more we could potentially have in the future
  15. I have not got the books yet but will buy all three eventually. I hope they continue the range and do a Divination and a couple of DAtDA lessons too in the future. I love the chalkboards and book cases etc, great for MOCs, and the way all the furniture fits together like a puzzle really appeals to me :) I just wish they kept the uniforms consistent and put in Susan Bones for example instead of Cedric which is so weird. I could see them to a magical creatures lesson with a short stone wall being the food-out and the inside of the book becoming a forest clearing. I think Buckbeak & Hagrid together may be out of the budget so why not some niflers and/or baby dragons?
  16. I hope a future Knockturn Alley set includes Mundungus Fletcher, it would suit his character to be hanging round there and it would be a neat way to get him
  17. Your MOC looks great! One of the best system-scale designs of the castle I have seen! Really accurate and neatly put together, and your great hall look much better than the set version! I hope to upgrade my version to look something close to this ?
  18. Looking forward to the new year and the next wave of Harry Potter sets ?
  19. The printing looks like wafer and the top detail looks like strawberry sauce, so is this like a gingerbread merperson? What an odd idea. I’ll be interested if it has a dorsal fin on the back; the merepeople in HP are very fish like and I agree this mould will likely be used for them in the near future, can’t wait ?
  20. I’m loving the advent Callander so far, I have known what was in it since the leaks but still have to praise it now that I am opening it day bay day My favourite things so far are Cho Chang, the golden egg, the upgraded goblet of fire and the gramophone, all of which were on my ‘wish list’ for the AC. They did a really good job using the budget on all the right things
  21. Yes Possibly, like the original set, but I did it this way round as we always get the trio in the CMF anyway, and lego likes to design them ‘from the same scene/film’ and it would be a good use of the budget for the new shark head etc Also champions and their ‘treasure’ appear together, if you had Fleur and Cedric in the CMF how would you cover captured Cho and Gabrielle?
  22. I would love a Durmstrang ship! I never had the original and I would love to see what they could do with modern engineering. like others have said that think it’s best to save it for another year or two because we have that big creator ship on shelves right now. I like the Durmstrang student outfits and the ship design is really ornate and different to most pirate ships they have made in the past. I have recently had a think about which minifigures to go where and this is what I came up with: Igor, Krum, extra student (all in their thick dark coats), Barty Crouch Sir, and a merperson all in the ship set. A side build would be a viewing platform. It would also make sense to include a Dumbledore, Moody, Amos Diggory perhaps. Then have a separate $30-$40 ‘lake task’ set: Fleur, Cedric, Cho, Gabrielle and another merperson or two with the ruins. Finaly in a CMF: Lake task versions of Harry (flesh flippers), Krum (shark head), Ron and Hermione with new grindylows. Rita and Igor in his white ‘arrival’ coat with a new hat mould also in the CMF.
  23. Awesome to see that, but what torso would you use for customs? Maybe parts from Apache from Batman CMF This also shows that it is possible in a future HPCMF we could get a Firenze figure after all, something which I had in my wish lists but a few people doubted because of the size of that part. On a side note I absolutely love the new hermit crab :D one of my favourite creatures
  24. This is one of the best, perhaps the best system scale Hogwarts I have seen! You have scaled and integrated the exterior and interior externally well! Very good job well done! I hope one day I will complete a MOC like this
  25. Agreed with the robes! They could make another student pack with the short ones from the DA set, I hope they would be brave enough to not put Harry in it again, even random nameless students would be welcome to customise figures I had an idea the other day that Lego could make more modules of the castle to represent those sections of Hogwarts which changed between the movies as different sets, for example: DADA tower & Dark Tower for POA, swaps for the Astronomy Tower Training Grounds Tower complex for PS/CS, perhaps with the PS chambers inside That way we get more interior and people can make whichever version of Hogwarts they like by swapping out the buildings :)
