Thanks! So I’m planning to get the 2020 Advent Calendar, and have come up with some uses for the parts of the extra Ron and Harry (I already have the clock tower): Using Harry’s body which has a white tie here is Neville in his Yule Ball suit:

I’ll be getting about 3 Neville, 2 Griphook, Luna, Dumbledore, Myrtle & Kingsley. Singles of the others I think As the figures are not as versatile for different scenes. Possibly extra Ron and Hermione if on clearance (the WW hair is my favourite for older Hermione, and those glasses are nice to have extras of) Over on the ‘updating your figures’ page I’m posting some custom figures using the bits from the student pack :) it’s great for expanding Dumbledore’s Army, more patronuses please Lego! -
I made a few more purist custom figures: This is my take on Professor Vector (if lego did an official figure of her I think they should use the CMF princess hair-hat combo), Beauxbatons Carriage driver and a random Ministry official. These are full leg ‘room of requirement’ versions of Dean Thomas and Cho Chang, using the new student pack for parts :D. The last figure was inspired by youtuber ‘PotterMinifigPals’ and is the unnamed(?) student from PoA who gets a few creepy lines about Sirius Black. Finaly for today Pansy Parkinson using Rose Tico head and hair and a very simple Herbology Seamus Finnigan

If I was to add two more figures (which this set does need) it would be Arthur and a shopkeeper for QQS. Mundungus Fletcher was on my list for the DA set from the beginning but after seeing the final product I think he would go very well with a a stand alone Borgin and Burkes set -

I’m once again late to the party... most of what I have to say has already been said: the set is huge, ambitious, and well designed in terms of the ‘modular’ layout and features such as the alley overpass and all the different staircases and window designs. The details of the book shop and WWW especially look promising. I’m sure full res images will do the set justice when we can see the details and all those stickers closer in proper context. But also I am feeling bitter-sweet about the figures and some of the choices made such as the seemingly dominating QQS and the almost ‘empty’ interior for that building in particular. The box should definitely have been more horizontal in proportion, and they did themselves disservice by putting WWW & Fred and George in the far back of the street: I would have separated it and put it in the foreground opposite Olivanders. A simple change like that as well as putting outside some of the small builds would make the whole scene shown look much more full and lively and shown off properly one of the stand-out buildings of the set. I am highly doubtful this will be our only Lucius or Lockheart, they could still both get a quick ‘upgrade’ in a CMF and satisfy all our wants for new moulds and prints -

Nice list! I’ll post mine below and it has a lot of the same figures as yours. I also agree that the trio in their Ministry disguises is a great choice for a CMF, in addition to alternate wigs/suitcases they could each have a Decoy Detonator (new mould)! -

I have not commented yet since before the leaks of the sticker sheet, From the stickers and description it sounds absolute fantastic and might be one of the most celebrated sets of the year. I’m sure I will watch every review on youtube, (for me and my limited display space the DA set was always something I will enjoy seeing in shop window displays but never own myself). I am likely to pick up A Gringots/dragon and a separate BB Set which will be more manageable for me. I’m happy with the splitting up given the attention WW has got in the DA and no doubt Gringots will be more amazing too because of it I hope that if Lucius is in the DA set he does not remain exclusive, him and Rita are still best suited for a CMF appearance I think. Keep leas known/wanted exclusive characters in the DA: the photographer, Diggle and Crockford as others have said, Molly wearing her shopping outfit etc. Maybe between CMF, BB and DA we could get at least two non-Death Eater Lucius Malfoy variants: with and without a hat/hair combo part? -

I was in the Lego store recently and noticed that the room of requirement set seemed to be selling the most, so maybe they will do more small ‘lesson’ sets in a similar format... I have an idea for two small sets of Defence Against the Dark Arts, each one has a backdrop of one end of the classroom and they can both be connected together to make a whole classroom: Pixie Mayhem: Lockheart, Neville, Hermionie. A few pixies (new mould), pixie cage, portraits of Lockheart, dragon skeleton and a build of the front desk and the stairway to the office. Boggart Lesson: Lupin, Harry, Dementor, creepy clown-in-the-box. Build of the wardrobe and megaphone. Backdrop is a build of the rear window and some tables with the skeleton candles etc. -

Nice chooses ? Only thing I would change is leave the ring for a Tom Riddle figure, instead Dumbledore could have the Magazine with the knitting patterns he takes home from Slughorn’s ? Nice! This is my ideal Neville too for a specific new ‘Trevor’ toad mould (it Could also be used for those musical toads from PoA I guess) I forgot about that Dumbledore, It would be quite interesting if they did the figure monochrome like the scene itself Also an excellent way to get the new sward again with Neville ? Luna could have something from the student hideout room, or maybe a wanted poster? I would give the diadem to The Grey Lady herself I struggle to think of more versions of these three; i’m only left with a ‘casual’ clothes Neville (OotP) with his potted Mimbulus mimbletonia (magical cactus), which could be simply a sand green recolour of the ‘icecream’ part in a bucket -

I have a thought experiment we could do to pass the time: We have seen in series 2 that along with the main trio Neville, Luna and Dumbledore each got another spot. So what if LEGO has decided that they are such fan favourites that like the trio they will always be represented in the CMF going forward? So how many CMF viable versions of Luna, Dumbledore and Neville can we think of? What would be their outfits and accessories? I’lltry first: Neville: Flying lesson, Hogwarts robes, Broom, remembrall Luna: Barefoot casual cloathes, Baby Thestral Dumbledore: White outfit, ‘baby’ Voldermort soul. -

I’m also disappointed with only 1 animal this wave (although it is a fantastic one), it seems like a missed opertunuty not to do Marge and Ripper for example for this year, it looked like all the ducks were lined up in a row for it: -they recently made a bulldog for city, and therefore it would only be a recolour and therefore would be a cheaper figure to produce (like Lilly, James & the trio) -4 Privet Drive is on the shelves already therefore you have the incentive to get the other after you get one as they go together -

I actually hope the fog mould stays, I am quite fond of it and it has been used in this theme already, plus I have got some extras in more colours to add to my sets. What they could do is create a distinct ‘large toad’ mould, and the two could be used simultaneously (much like we now have a rat and distinct mouse mould, although it was only made once) The bat and parrot need an upgrade however, they are rather statueish and a new parrot (or several species of parrot) could look marvellous with modern dual moulding and printing capabilities -

Me! me! He is on my want/prediction list for series 3. I think he is a great and reasonably likely figure to include: he would have a new hair mould which is ucefull for reuse in city etc and in other themes and it’s another student figure which LEGO seems to want a lot of in each CMF and he is the best choice I think for the next series BAME representation. His accessory can be a scarf and microphone I guess, and should have two faces; neutral and shouting -

Fantastic to see the finale CMF leaked after waiting so long!!! But like others have said the I think the best figures were on the packet front. It’s amazing that Lego has decided to give us so many variants of existing/past student characters instead of adults we have never had before. The only revealed figures I think anyone anticipated were Lilly and James and they are both great and meet all expectations ? I love how many more great accessories we are getting on top of what we saw from the first leak: Baby Harry, New sward with red stones, undamaged Diary, new Beer glasses (how does the no alcohol rule work now?) and a very useful closed map! The strangest inclusion for me is Ginny, I would have expected her Party outfit version was AC material, did she really need the expense of a new hairpiece? They should have made her pet Pygmy Puff an accessory instead in my opinion, that would have justified it. Looking at all the new moulds and the figure choices as a whole I guess LEGO is planning for next year a large Hogsmeade village set (winter hats and Beer glass) and either a Chamber of Secrets or DH Gringots Breakout set (goblin ears and sward) :) -

I’m very pleased to see the AC in full now after so long and very pleasantly surprised with Cho Chang! They chose the exact right hairpiece for her and all three girls look awesome I am also very happy with getting another golden egg and the food table is nice and along with the music items will compliment the Clock Tower set very well (but what are the red bits? Shrimp?). Some of the builds don’t impress me (but not as bad as the 4 banners): I’m not sure what the arches either side of the fireplace are trying to accomplish, I would have much preferred more furniture like an armchair or a back extension to that little mini Hogwarts Seeing the very GOF specific builds in general makes me wonder if future AC will be more ‘year’ focused: mini knight bus, buckbeak & hogsmeade for Y3? Slughorn’s potion case for next year along with a brick built green hourglass? -

Hi guys so I recently had a go at making one of my Hogwarts castle set concepts full size (in LDD): This is my version of the ‘Lookout Tower’ and it is based on the Order of the Phoenix movie, including exclusive versions of Umbridge, Trelawney Mcgonagall and the two twins! as shown it is less than 500 parts! It attaches perfectly to the existing great hall set as shown on this floor plan I did for the Quad (hall is bottom left corner): This is the original mini concept: What do you guys think? The only thing it is missing is a dynamic play feature, so maybe there should be a side build for some exploding fireworks? -
That looks great! What I would do is expand the Ravenclaw tower section: move Slughorn’s office down one floor and put in the new space a Ravenclaw Common Room (Fireplace, statue, bookcase/ blue sofa etc), put a Cho Chang in it :)

Me too! Cho could be in the AC though, hope we get both regardless ? -
I second all the Avatar the last Airbender recommendations! Its still really popular, even to have a sequel series and I think Lego missed a trick with the old sets. The smallest was ok but didn’t do the source material justice at all and the larger set was way too large and boring construction with unattractive box art so no wonder it didn’t sell well. I think it would be the ideal new licensed theme after the Harry Potter revamp has run its course; they have made so many useful new moulds already these past few years which look like bending attacks/weapons of all kinds, and there is a huge selection of viable sets they can do which would be really fun and fit LEGOs formulas: vehicles like the ships, airships, the drill etc, flying dragons, Appa and the swamp vine monster could all be sets and then there are lots of different looking ‘fortress’ locations in each nation, Roku’s temple etc It might be that it somewhat conflicts with the niche of Ninjago though thinking about it :/

Thanks for the nice feedback ? and others too Yes much like grawp I think they can do the troll without t need for a new mould. I can imagine the castle side build in addition to a sink and bathroom stall for Hermione to hid in would also include some Halloween decorations like lanterns :) -

Nice ideas, I can see most of these or something close becoming sets! Personally if they do Malfoy Manor I Hope it is a (simplified) facade of the entire building, so then it can look good displayed along with the other houses (Burrow, Privet Drive etc) -
