After looking more closely at how the "real" Droideka is shaped and especially how it rolls up i realized how inaccurate this Set is. Especially the rear leg is off, folding completely in the wrong direction, backwards instead of forwards... But this was probably done because it makes it much easier for the droid to stand up.

I have thought about building this Droid with new bricks myself. It just seems like such a cool, fascinating build. But my dislike of rubber bands has kept me from doing so until now... It probably would have been better to use a shock absorber for the rear Leg instead, but idk how hard it would be swap one in as a MOD...

I was unable to find any information on the 130mm main Gun on the Obj. 279 being fed by an autoloader. Can you help me out there? I was under the impression the Obj 279 project was cancelled a few years before the sowjet medium Tanks (T64 and newer?) were fitted with an autoloader like this. The only mention of an autoloader I could locate was linked to war thunder...

Exactly, bringing a one- off to mass production is not easy, but if you look at Effermanns parts for example I doubt it would be that difficult, seing as small scale production is already happening. My point was, developing new bricks isn't hard to a point where competitor brands to TLG can't do it, even private enthusiasts can do it. They just don't want to make any new moulds as that's where the real money is spent. And for the Control+ failings there is just no excuse, which you noted as well I see

Very cool design! I like that slit you made near the edge of the wings.

Akiyuki Mangle rack clock

Incredible. I am lost for words. I just love everything about this clock -
I feel the same. Putting this in the set to underline it as a premium product would be something I'd understand. And for 400 bones it is something I'd expect as a customer. But if they wanted to do a limited edition they should have done 5000 limited sets that come with a different colorsceme and the book inside the box. That way it would at least be something special. The book alone for 80 bucks just feels cheap to me.

Arn't those even more desirable than the 5K numbered ones then because they are more rare then? Does TLG forbid reviewers to sell their samples after the review? (Why the hell anyone would waste 80 bucks for this is a mystery to me btw. But I guess the collector with too much disposable income will pay any ammount for anything. Its "Limited Edition" after all )

@Chmashdehjare I am partially colorblind myself, so I know what it feels like if you cant tell what color something is. If someone is completely colorblind having different colors is pointless. If you wanted to help a colorblind person you should use bricks in different brightness, so white, lbg, dbg, black. Anyone can tell those apart as they dont rely on your color perception.

@Thirdwigg I feel the same way. Mounting a single super hard shock so far from the center is just asking for trouble. And it looks horrible too! The front suspension looks amazing, but the rear looks terrible. Thats the problem with using these fat shocks: no way to pass an axle through there. An AWD car is impossible using these shocks, unless you move them out of the wheel, like a pushrod suspension.

Looks great! I like the use of the new differential bodys for the rear engines!

Before I disappoint anyone I want to say that this project is still in a phase where I am not sure if I will actually build the car. Right now I just want to see if I can fit a 6speed manual transmission with AWD and 4 wheel steering into one car and make it work reliably. But if things do work out I will probably finish the R34 project because the R32,R33 and R34 are the only japanese cars I know of to combine AWD and 4WS This is my current progress: I managed to squeeze a gear rack into the transmission I used for my R32 GT-R to give it 4 wheel steering. I also had to decrease the overall width on each side by 1 stud to give the tires space to turn without rubbing here you can see the gear rack placement. I had some massive issues clearing the two differentials, but it all worked out very well in the end. And I only had to increase the transmission length by 1 stud! I am satisfied. Bellyshot. The 20T bevel gear engaging with the center diff will be replaced with the new 20t straight cut gear once I get my hands on it. Thanks again to @Zerobricks for trying out if this combination would work. Gray Gear

[MOD] Lamborghini Vision GT

Well done! I already liked the china model, a very cool design. But your improvements and added details really make it pop! -
I see the small rotating turret on the top of the cockpit is fixed using a tooth, which doesn't really hold it in place. How about using LEGO 20482 instead?
