Welp! Freya is back! You all know what to do. Anyhoo, I just realized that Bytes cameoed in the 60380 Downtown set. I guess it makes sense given that Mech is also in the custom car garage.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!! There have been expressed desires to have the following buildings in City: Dance Studio Barber Shop Pet Clinic Electronic Store Asian Food Shop Well......we bascially have that in the 60380 Downtown set, which I had the honor of obtaining last week AND.....I'm currently working on it. They fit into this set perfectly. Though the Asian food shop is more of a stand than a shop. It still counts though.

It's a small round tile piece with a strawberry on it. It may not be a mold, but it's still a food piece, one that I actually think would be good. Especially for future sets. On another note, didn't we just get a city-based space center in 2022? Ah well, I'm still curious to find out how it looks. Though the 60080 one from 2015 one can't be defeated, imo.

@Lion King So dude, I just brought the 60380 Downtown set last week. There is also a strawberry piece included in the set that comes with the food cart piece.

Unpopular Opinions about LEGO

Yeah! I was kinda hoping with how big the 2022 Hospital set was, I would at least see a pharmacy area in that set. They've got pharmacies in hospitals too. I know because I have worked at a hospital before. -

Tbh, I love the No Limits series. I love how the series has civilians as the main characters instead of the police and fire department. The police and fire department can still be in the series because....well.....its what kids love. But this is about civilians who can do anything they put their mind to. I think this should be a full-out series with seasons and all.

I love MOCs like this. I have a park MOC in my town, but its a lot smaller. Great Job capturing the details of a park.

Unpopular Opinions about LEGO
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah! I realized that when I used to buy sets that were up there in price. I noticed that whenever they would ring up the gift, there would be added money to the price. So eventually, I would have to insist that I do NOT want the GWP packs. I can't believe they call them "gifts" but yet, you TECHNICALLY still have to pay for them. In my blunt honest opinion, I think they need to just give up already. -
Ideas for new Lego themes! (Non-licensed)

Probably because they weren't popular like that back then. -

How about Railway Heroes? Railway Heroes is like Speed Champions and focuses on real trains and locomotives such as the Flying Scottsman, the Metrorail 7000 Series or the Orient Express. Not fantasy trains like the Hogwarts Express or generic ones like the ones in City. -
Wow! Now that's a ride. The Prelude was underrated in the import car scene. Like, everyone has heard of Skylines, Silvias, Supras and Celicas. But no one talks about the Prelude.

Hmmm......I don't remember that one. But I think I have it because I have the farmers market van. Another one I hope they do, ironically enough, is fries. Recently, Lego would just color the crystal piece and use that as fries. But I hope a legit fry piece is in the works. Perhaps even a cup piece to represent fast food drinks.
-
The piece that represents more than one scoop of ice cream also doubles as berries when in colors such as blue or red. They've also got the piece in purple to represent grapes. There were also pieces to represent doughnuts and cookies with the bakery from set 60306. Along with a sunnyside-up piece that came with the camper.

We also have a pumpkin mold, which was pretty prominent in the farm subtheme from 2022. It also technically had a boiled egg mold. Though....I guess those weren't really foods. They were actually unhatched baby animals. I'm still waiting for an orange, watermelon or pear mold. But I'm sure those will come soon.
-
@Lion King So I know you love animal molds. My love for food pieces is about the same height as your love for animal molds. One mold I hope they make is a hamburger piece for the new burger truck. In the past, they had to put bricks together to make a burger. I think a burger piece could work. I may not happen, but I could dream.

Sounds like a new series that's coming. Though the main characters seem to be civilian teens instsad of cops, firefighters and robbers.

I see you're still working on the design. It looks good so far. My only critique is to bring the boiler up some. Everything else is just fine!

Favourite sets that you own
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
So ironically enough, my favorite sets are 2020 and newer. So here are my top 5. 1. 60258 Tuning Workshop - sort of a car lover so I was excited when I got this set. 2. 60335 Train Station - converted it into a bus terminal 3. 60347 Grocery Store - was excited when that one came. 4. 60329 School Day - that one was a fixer upper. 5. 60328 Beach Lifeguard Station -
My first set was the 6434 Roadside Repair set that my grandpa got for me at age 8. May he rest in peace. Ever since I was a child, my favorite types of town-related sets were ones centered around the auto industry, so this set was a pretty big deal to me when I first got it.
