Maybe that could be the basis for the office for me. @greg3 @KotZ @Aanchir@koalayummies

Thanks for the feedback. It's good comments that encourage me to do more MOCs and bad comments that encourage me to do them better than previous ones. I have been meaning to obtain that building. Unfortunately when ever I get ready to, I see something else. Next time, I'm buying thus no matter what.

I needed that. Thanks!

@TeriXeri @jimmynick Can you see them now?

They were uploaded from Google Photos. Do you have a smart phone? Maybe you can look at them from there.

Yeah! Since my town is full of mostly City sets, I thought I'd build this building to fit that standard. I actually plan to build a pizzeria and a grocery shop next.

So if any of you were on this page, you'll see that I mentioned that I had built a MOC Uniform Store. Its not as good as some of the other MOC buildings I have seen because the back is exposed for playability's sake. Then another member of this forum wanted me to post pictures of it. So @Pdaitabird as promised, here is Jack O'Trades' Uniform Store. In case you guys don't know who Jack O'Trades was, he was this character from the Lego Island saga. In the first game, he was a member of the Flying Legandos and in the second and third, he owns his own shop. That blue building that's not too far from the gas station to be exact. So without further to do, here is a picture of the front of the building. This is the front of the building. I got some Xtra stickers at the Lego store one time and I have finally found a way to use them. Unfortunately, I don't have any stickers of clothes at this time, so I had to use the stickers that are supposed to represent post-its under the sale sign and pretend that it was talking about clothes. I also utilized one of the "OPEN" stickers to indicate that its opened. No worries. The corona virus hasn't hit my Lego town. In my town, we've shut down borders so business can run as usual. The flat pieces in front that are supposed to represent sidewalk were initially going to be all smooth surface. But I decided to use some studs so that I could put a little person on the front. I plan to add a street lamp to it soon too. Of course, you can see on the top floor where the models are on display. The dummy heads are really just heads that I don't need turned backwards so that they would look more like models instead of actual people. The top floor is wall free and is all windows that I got from a hospital set. This is the top floor where people can shop. Unfortunately, I don't have enough pieces to make the entire sales floor (adding fitting rooms, folding cubbies, shoe departments, etc), so imagination will have to be used for this part. At least I was able to take advantage of those annoying vent pieces and use them as stands for the dummies to stand on. So here is where a customer checks out. The camera over there records everything and you can turn it around on that stilt if you want. That desk is also where the cashier is too. A security guard would stand next to the camera. In the middle is none other than a metal detector/theft prevention scanner. It can detect any type of deadly weapons on you or it can scan an unscanned item to tell if you were stealing. I used to be biased against those sirens on the 2019 police and fire vehicles, but I'm glad I got one now as I was able to use that piece to its full potential and I could pretend its going off when someone is trying to steal something or bring a weapon in the store. Oh yeah....it can also detect contraband items such as drugs or lighters. So....let me know what you think in the comments section. Chao!

Nowadays, you can never have enough. I'm expecting a "COVID-19" survival kit this week aka. A huge Lego haul. -
Nice job! I wish I could MOC like that. Then I wouldn't have to deal with what Lego gives to us through the City and Creator themes. The blue tender engine in the fourth and fifth picture looks kinda like Gordon from Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends.

LEGO, I understand your views on re-releasing things. But will you PLEASE re-release/release some Octan merch for the hardcore side. You did a great job with Octan merch before. Do a one and done subtheme for the Octan corporation. https://brickipedia.fandom.com/wiki/Octan

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I can work with that. I was hoping to see Rex Fury and Natalia Kowalski in Lego form. Though we did get a character similar to Rex Fury in the 2018 police wave. You know? The guy who was in underwear. -

I say take it as a gift. Considering that those would usually take weeks to build, think of it as a COVID-19 survival kit. -

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I've noticed that City has been hesitant to release a grocery store or post office. Same with a stationary news station. As for the latter, with all the danger that happens in Lego City, I'm certain that there would be a need for a news station of some sort. But the other end to that is that vehicles sell better as compared to buildings, which don't sell well - with the exception of police stations, fire stations, hospitals, etc. There is a reason why some buildings are smaller and less noticeable than others such as the doughnut shop and toy store. Action outside of the city is obviously stuff that kids love more than action within the city. The reason I believe they put it under City is because.....well.....they don't really have anywhere else to showcase action outside of the city in a generic way. But I do agree with this statement as I do with your statement about not taking rescue sets to the extreme. City does focus a bit too much on action outside of the City as compared to what's within. I also stated on the previous page that the reason why people are upset about the current state of City is not because it's not diverse enough....but it's because of the type of diversity (too much action outside of the city, not enough infrastructure, all these different types of police, etc). I do wish that City would do less subthemes based on action outside of the city and do more subthemes based on action within the city (thus the main themes name) for the 2020s decade. But you can expect that hope to get squashed immediately. Especially on these forums. I came up with a few subthemes that could help with that. Most of them could actually work if Lego tried. Some may not and will likely just stay in my mind. But I have a right to dream. Don't I? Overall, I'm giving you a follow. You seem to be a great person to both discuss things with and agree to disagree with. That's great man! The one I still have yet to get is the damn safari off roader.Grrr! I'm frustrated because I can't go to the Lego stores because they're closed and no retail stores in my area have it! -

I like the ambulanc helicopter. That one stood out to me for one reason and one reason alone. It had no wheels. Instead, it used skis. That makes it great for display purposes. -

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
@x57bob I personally don't mind the vehicles. Nor am I spiteful of diversity. My only issue is the type of diversity that is promoted. Recently, City seems to be somewhat (not fully) hesitant to give subthemes to action within the City with the exception of Fire, Classic Police, Airport, Coast Guard and Trains. All of the other subthemes are outside of the City such as Arctic, Divers, Volcanos, Jungle, Space, Miners, Swamp Police, Mountain Police, Prison Island, Forest Police and Forest Fire. Obviously, action outside of the City is pretty substantial compared to action within the City. I personally would like it if more subthemes were given to action within the City like it used to be in the late 2000s for City. @xxix5 I have to agree. I don't really care for named characters myself. I preferred it when City was generic when it came to minifigs. Nowadays, City is practically on the level of Hidden Side and Friends. That is to say, generic as a theme but with named characters. Sorry if I'm rambling. Just thought I'd say I agree. -
