  1. I guess that would be the only way. It seems like the parts of a certain set you really want or need are never available on eBay when you need them.
  2. Nope! You can never have too much Lego. Look at JANGBRICKS collection.
  3. With all due respect to you and all other authority figures on this forum......People take it offensively because most of the time - it's not a mere disagreement. I've experienced it a lot where I'm told in a polite or smart alec way to "zip it and be thankful Lego gives you anything". That also makes discussions difficult. Eurobricks is unique in this manner as I'm not attacked for my criticisms anywhere else but here. Most of the time, those "challenges" shouldn't even be done when you're stating an opinion. It's not like we're telling you "That's how it is!" without backing it up with fact. We are simply speaking from our point of view. I don't speak for anyone else. Then you stand up for yourself, but you're the one getting banned? Nit fair at all.
  4. So...I'm trying to find the fire engine from 60216. Any places where I can find it? I tried eBay, but they only have the whole set.
  5. I suck at doing MOC vehicles. That locomotive looks amazing.
  6. Yeah....we should do that! Chicago Fire would be like City Fire sets for adults. I'd be all for that as maybe a special edition line of product.
  7. Hey guys! I found a licensed replacement for City. THE CHICAGO SERIES!!!!
  8. Time to wake this forum up. I've got some ideas for 2021 great vehicles. City Bus - Includes a blue city bus with 4 wheels, a young bus driver and two passengers. New Character Introduced: Brandon Transitwell Heavy Wrecker - Includes white, green and red 8x8 wrecker using the same shape as the one from the 2009 Garage set and using the Octan logo, driver with blue Octan torso and two cones. No string. Technic lift used instead. New Character Introduced: Danny Towman Pretzel Truck - Includes pretzel van with a similar shape to the 2017 pizza van, cook and customer on bike. New Character Introduced: Alonzo Pretzeltwist Sports Car - Includes green sports car and Poppy Star from LCA. Mail Van - includes a yellow 6 stud wide postal van with the "City Mail" logo, a crate, some mail pieces, mail lady minifig and mail box. New Character Introduced: Veronica Post Airport Firetruck - Includes airport fire truck, Buster Lloyd, the needed equipment and a plane engine that's on fire. I think I might have referenced 60061 by accident on that one though.
  9. Yeah....uh....miners, medics, cargo, harbor, traffic, farm and construction are dead subthemes now. The only trace of those are individual sets sold under either Town or Great Vehicles. Arctic, Jungle, Miners, volcano and deep sea are all under Explorers. Swamp police and mountain police are under police. Like I said. Police, Great Vehicles and Explorers seem to be almost only what City focuses. Trains, Coast Guard and Fire are occasional and remain unchanged for three years.
  10. That's amazing
  11. @Toastie Uh...I was just joking. Given what happened on the "Why is Lego so hesitant about bringing back classic themes?" post....I felt it was just fitting.
  12. @AmperZand I MOC minifigs too. It was so easy but I remember making CITYfied versions of Lego Island characters such as Pepper, Brickster, Nubby Stevens and Red Greenbase.
  13. @Aanchir Koalayummies is correct! But try not to disagree with people or get into disagreements too much on here. As you have seen recently....it could be detrimental.
  14. @Aanchir Well good thing you stopped by. We're glad to see you. Did you know Airport is coming back for City?
  15. I don't buy sets for parts my friend. I have Bricklink for that.
  16. If this sells well enough, they should do some MarioKart sets.
  17. 11 pages long already? This was just posted on Tuesday! EDIT: Well its 12 now.
  18. @koalayummies I've known BFAB for a long time and he's got good intentions and brings up good points in a lot of his videos. I don't believe he intended to get at anyone or anything. Look at it as this! He's challenging his fans to come up with a good reason on why he SHOULD buy these.
  19. Considering Lego's primary focus on vehicles, its kinda obvious that a MarioKart set will be made. No issues from me on that. I'll take it.
  20. A very great improvement. Best mod I have ever seen of a Lego City set.
  21. I'm both. Why? Becsuse as far as buying official sets go, when I buy something, I like to build what's on that box and I make modifications as I see fit. I don't buy sets for parts. That's just a waste of time and money in my opinion. If I want particular parts or builds from a certain set, I try to find them on eBay. MOCs? If I need parts for a MOC, I head on to either the replacement parts page on the official site, use the Pick A Brick, go pick up some brick tubs from random stores or I go to Bricklink. That's what I do when I make a MOC. Unfortunately because of a brick shortage in my house (My wife and I donated a substantial amount to charity), we haven't MOCed any buildings.
  22. Whoa! Now THAT'S a MOC. You should put it on Lego Ideas and maybe it might get so many votes that it becomes the next modular.
  23. Yeah! I wish I would've gotten it when I had the chance. Now it's rare and expensive ASF. To be quite honest, if it were up to me, all major civilian services in the city (i.e. emergency, transport, food, construction and public works, etc) would have a City subtheme and they would get guaranteed rotation based on how well they sell whether its 3 year, 4 year, 5 year or 6 year. Everything else would go under Town.
  24. I have been having problems with those myself. That's why I had to convert my trains to push along like the Disney train and Hogwarts Express. My kids love it.
