You mean like what they did in 2006? Yeah! That feature was pretty cool.

I have another series of buildings to show. Perhaps Great Buildings for 2021? Grocery Store - includes Kwik E Mart sized grocery store building (aptly named City Food Market) with easy to remove roof, Mr. Producci, food truck, unnamed clerks and some customers. Radio Station - includes radio station building with easy to remove roof, Poppy Star, unnamed dj and radio show host and some type of vehicle with a battery powered boombox that can play music at a touch of a button, similar to how sirens from the 2019 police and fire waves do. News Station - includes news station building with easy to remove roof, Gabby DeCamera, unnamed camera man, news van and chopper and several unnamed reporters. Schoolhouse - includes school house with easy to remove roof, Professor, Billy McCloud, unnamed school bus driver, several unnmaed students and small school bus. Town Hall - includes town hall building with easy to remove roof, limo, Mayor Solomon Fleck, Vice Mayor Carol Yea, Mary Sinclair and Judge Strictpunish Recycle Center - a re-release of 4206 from 2012, only this one includes Shirley Keeper

Avoiding a Bland Police Station
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Zephyr261's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This is the Montgomery County Police Department here in the state of Maryland. Wanna build something that's not bland. Take influence from the design. Sorta reminds me of the police station in Lego City Adventures. Otherwise, if you want simplicity but tasteful, I'd try to find old ones on eBay and/or Bricklink or go for the one in this year's brick box. I liked example 4 the best.- 7 replies

@Aanchir You are 100% correct, my dear. Personally I don't mind the extra colors on the final product. Speaking as a guy with a table town, I think it may be a great piece to put there. Maybe as an attraction for tourists. I'm thinking about pretending the pirates are just acting. They're not really pirates in my town. Funny because I did something similar with Yoda and Baby Yoda. Except....they're not actually Yoda and Baby Yoda. They're actually a mom and her 2 year old going to a Comic Con being held at the police station. My point is....I don't see what the big deal is when it comes to the changes that Lego made.
-
I don't think the color issue is as a big deal as people make it out to be. It's really just dumb how people are that way because Lego does things a little different. Now I'm not at all against Lego making some changes to original ideas. When it comes to Lego nowadays, we shouldn't even disappoint ourselves with certain expectations. We should learn to expect certain things to be done or not to be done. Because in the long run, it's not up to us. It's up to them. I mean...look at all the people who are bickering over whether or not castle, pirates or classic space should return. Look at those groups who say that City should stop doing police crap all the damn time. <<<Excuse my language. That's just what I see. Though I do agree, it's not happening. Certain wishes just don't line up with what Lego wants to push. So I agree with you 100%.

I haven't seen that show before. I've heard about it from some work colleagues of mine, but have never actually taken time to look at it.

Got me one of those too! That thing was amazing! -
If they absolutely felt desperate need to do a police wave for 2021, allow me to recommend some. Police School Bus Chase - includes police car, school bus, Tippy the Evil Doorman and Duke DeTain Police Grocery Store Heist - includes grocery store building (aptly named City Food Market) with easy to remove roof, food transport truck, criminal car, police car, Tom Bennett, Frankie Lupelli and Mr. Producci. Police Mobile Unit - includes mobile unit, getaway ATV, Duke DeTain and Daisy Kaboom. Sort of a proper follow up to 60139. Police Boat - includes Chief Wheeler and Vito This wave is based more in the suburbs than in the big city like this year's police sets were.

[MOC] Amsterdam in the seventies

Two thumbs up! -
@TeriXeri I have another idea. Funky 46s Fire Engine from episode 3 of Season 2: Ann They're Off. So far, this is my favorite episode because it involves my favorite wave of City sets.
-
I would agree. I just hope this pandemic doesn't affect the company itself and production of sets in general. I know they do it for organization sake, but I think the idea of subthemes should be dropped. I don't know if anyone else would agree but that's just my view. Great vehicles and town are probably the only City subthemes that really get me interested along with some of the explorer subthemes. Then again, this is coming from a guy who has a table town of Lego City structures that needs more than just first responders. Btw, what do you think of my Great Vehicles ideas?

Problem With 1x1 Bricks
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Collector245's topic in General LEGO Discussion
@Collector245 That's understandable. I refuse bricks all the time and some of them end up getting that way. The 4x2s are the ones I use the most. -
Problem With 1x1 Bricks
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Collector245's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have not experienced this problem before. That is because I don't use them too often except for small builds such as minifig scale televisions, electronics, machines or weaponry. Otherwise I use the round ones for doorknobs. -
How do I create a signature?

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
So I recently got the bank piece from 60245. Its actually a pretty good build. The pull out vault piece and the laser beam up top are the parts that stand out to me. I also like the air windows where crooks can come through along with the teller area.
