Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Rockstaremcee replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I know they sell hands seperately, but do they sell arms? And if so. Anyone have a number for them? -
Thanks for the clarification on SW. Now that Disney owns SW I'm sure it will keep pumping $ into the LEGO line - however those arrangements work. I know many of us wish there was more attention towards Castle. I have noticed the inconsistencies. And I totally agree, whether $2 or $200, I want to be happy with what I buy. I see your issue better with your specific aim of a vintage castle collection. At least having clear parameters for what you want prevents you from buying everything! I would love to see sets involving lots of repurposed CMF pieces! Spot on, the versatility is what makes LEGO the amazing product is it. Aiming to match this versatility would be a huge advantage to any brand. I hope you are getting some usual feedback here from this. It's awesome that you are involved in the online community!

I picked up the Diner off the local FB Buy/Sell for $115 I came home to two ebay packages. These two guys and: Some reinforcements for the armies. ;-) Lastly, my "lottery ticket" purchase of the day: I finally got a Jack Skellington! I could feel the present box in there and was ecstatic!

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes

Yes! I'm excited for that. I already plan on picking up one of the new Expecto Patronum (75945) [or maybe two] today. -
I'm so jealous! We don't have the wizard torso, or the clamshell bikini torso. We are very light on torsos in the BAM.

I, at multiple stores, have always been able to pick any part for the three accessory pieces. Beyond that takes a little moxie. On my last visit where I picked up the shield referenced in this post, I got away with purchasing 10 shields, two legs and 2 heads and a torso. Rare but I was spending $300 on sets so they let it slide.

This is definitely my primary objective when shopping third party. I feel the ambiguity leads to an open conversation and people can discuss their interpretation of my question giving me a better understanding of their opinions on the topic. ;-) Yes, akin to MegaBlock parts, this is a turn off for me. Wow, you put out thorough and valuable information. I really appreciate all of your efforts and the energy you put in to your reviews. Thanks for being awesome! That's great! No judgement here, that's exactly why I asked for feelings. Yes! I like that spirit of creativity! I too would love excessive amounts of new equipment for the historical themes, or bringing old ideas up to the new build standards etc. I admire your art! This an area that definitely is more of an outlier and I hope helps push LEGO towards better future development. I would say recently I have begun to experiment with this much more after coming across broken pieces and already modified pieces from collections. I have multiple "reject" bins of parts that are broken/painted/modified as well as non-Lego bins as I sort through the bounty of my conquests. Seeing that sometimes these things can be made better/more applicable sparks new creative ideas. Yes, your opinion is important! While I can't wholly agree with your feelings on the weapons and helmets, I can certainly still respect it. "There is a ton of SW ones," - SW? I don't know that abbreviation. I like the thoughts on Castle parts, tell me more! "vintage shields are costly" - this is where I tell myself to 'embrace the suck' and just pay for it, although I enjoy the challenge of hunting for deals, and finding treasure in unsorted bins of bricks etc "Official lego animals" - :handclap: This is definitely a feeling I understand. "Too many details, etc." - this seems to be a common feeling among the populace "tl, dr: There's a niche to be filled and BF+friends tries well." - Well said. I had not seen these parts and think I need to invest in a couple to check them out! "these are more LEGO-like than LEGO's own" - I hadn't thought about this! And I agree with the movement and wear concerns. Fitment and minifigure range of motion/movement ability affecting playability {Like the hair/cape/quiver issues] I definitely see as a current frustration of available LEGO options. It feels inconsistent with the versatility of most of LEGO's parts.

REVIEW: BrickWarriors lute
Rockstaremcee replied to AmperZand's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Solid Review! This is the kind of information I suspected was already tucked away in the forum! Side note, now I need to hunt down one of those 'Forestmen' style torsos of the center bowman in your picture. -
Thanks, I wasn't sure where or how many times to post this. :) I commiserate, however, I still want this made lol YES!!! I just assumed it was from a previous CMF and was ecstatic when I realized it was a new part to Bricklink!

[MOC] Gunsect: Alien gunslinger
Rockstaremcee replied to PaddyBricksplitter's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Looks like a relative of Garmadon. At first I thought it was a large variant build of him. -
All over my facebook advertising currently is ads for Brick Warriors and similar. Some of the companies like Citizen Brick make things that catch my interest like the: https://citizenbrick.com/products/zombie-barista and similar creative products. Usually I steer clear but these Brick Warrior packs being thematic increases my interest. How do people feel about these products?

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Rockstaremcee replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yikes! $ 2.67 here and $3.99 for a CFM pack. Although at my local store they get bought up rather quickly. I usually end up buying the last couple to complete each series on eBay to prevent the frustration of getting too many of the wrong duplicates. -

Rockstaremcee replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I read every page, [primarily during downtime at work lol] and I have 8 pages of parts written in a legal pad. This thread is awesome. For the fleshies, as well as everyone else, Hercules torso is available (in US at least): 6258601 and I think someone mentioned 6237179 female flesh torso also is available Both from the 88585 design-ation. -

LOL, I read this over 3 years later when it's 84 pages and I'm scouring the pages for ideas. My cart was at about $200 when it timed out. Today might get expensive... Thank you kindly! -

My thought exactly! And the white snake for chimney smoke! Ingenious! This is the type of MOC building I aspire to. Well done!

Quite enjoyable little story with an impressive build! I love the picture where he was forced to draw his sword on the servant. So much in one photo the "wood work" left of the wall, the jail cells below that still look castle-like, and the floors actually stood out to me. It looks simple, and I know that appearance doesn't come easy. I tend to over-build or over-engineer my designs. I love it! Great work!
