Somewhere 2/3 into the interview, he mentions that there will be an exclusive minifigure for preordering the game, but won't/can't state what it is yet:http://www.gamespot.com/videos/e3-2014-lego-batman-3-beyond-gotham-stage-demo/2300-6419428/

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Video Game Discussion)
Gooker1 replied to The Joker1's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
BTW, for those that questioned Robin making a heart sign in the trailer. It's intentional, it's really funny, it has no other context outside that he likes the new suit, so don't look too deep into it. -
I don't know if a USC style Tumbler would look good in Cardinal and Gold. So my guess it's more of the UCS variety in black. ;)

I dont ever remember being mad and i also said IF I wanted to blame anyone. Just calmly stating opinions. :). Also, for a limited run item, people do have the same opportunity, BUT the length of the opportunity is greatly diminished bc of the limited number and the influx of the resellers. Therefore, making it harder for an average fan to pick it up at retail.
-
If I wanted to assign blame...one Lego, make more than 10k and two the reseller/secondary market for buying all of the sets at $29.99 not allowing more fans to buy it. :)
-
Correct - very similar to my previous post. People shouldn't complain about items that fall under the first category. Like UsernameMDM reiterated what I stated, stuff that's easily out there on the shelves for more than a year is fair game. I mean look at the Fire Brigade. How long has that been out? Are you gonna complain if you missed the boat and now you're paying almost $250-300 for one when it was EVERYWHERE for $150 and less two years ago at WalMart? If you do, you shouldn't you were lazy and missed the boat. Buuuut, for limited stuff like Mars Rover and 41999 Crawler, that's definitely driven by collectors. I won't include Fire Brigade in the bottom half b/c everyone had a chance to grab that set, even had a chance to save $10 a month for 15 mons when it came out and would still not have a problem finding it anywhere. While I agree with some things you mention, that is a narrow-minded view on part 2. Supply and demand, if it's in demand, and it obviously is, if supply doesn't meet the demand b/c speculators, scalpors, investors (whatever you want to call them) have bought all the product, the price will move up b/c of a lack of a supply to meet demand through a usual chain. Secondary market have and can corner the market in a those limited number sets and thus causes the high prices. It's not "blame the buyer" on that. I have no problem attributing "blame the buyer" if it pertains the first part...ie sets that are/have been readily accessible over a year or two.
-
For the most part, all sets have a fairly long shelf life, so I feel that if you snooze when it's readily available at Lego.com, LBR stores, B&M, amazon etc, you lose and you're SOL. And that's life. It sucks but you missed the boat. You had your chance and you let it slip. It's standard for items that are retired to raise in price a year or so after it's retired. They don't make it anymore and people who didn't know about it or weren't into it now would like one. I wasn't familiar w/ the modulars when I got out of the dark ages, so yes, I had to pay a premium or trade to complete the line. But I'm not angry, mad or bummed about it. B/c I know I wanted it, and I know that older stuff that's no longer made will most likely rise in value if it's an interesting line or set. Now for rare cases like the LE 4x4 Crawler last year and the Mars Rover earlier this year...that's definitely driven by the secondary market and resellers. Those sellers know they can capitalize on Lego's popularity and the completists out there, so they buy them in droves cornering the market to sell at a premium once the small allotment has sold out. That's where Lego can't be too thrilled, and that's where it hurts the collectors out there who just want one set for themselves. Otherwise, for the general sets out there that aren't limited, I don't mind a secondary market and if prices rises or falls then so be it, it allowed me to purchase old sets I didn't know about, and hopefully it will do the same for others out there getting in to Lego too.

Whether or not we get Simpsons news is another story. LOL We generally get Super Hero sneak peeks, but SDCC is just a good of a place for Simpsons news (if any). I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed that we hear something awesome.
-
I can imagine the next time we hear any solid news from Lego will be at Comic Con in July
-
Like others have mentioned, Lego probably gives TT a handful of sets that will be coming out in the future that are also in the game. These aren't game based sets as they're more future Lego sets in a game.

Loving it!! Is this something you plan on building after you finish w/ the LDD version?
-
As much as I love the games and the "models" in the games, I can't remember the last time we've ever got sets based on stuff from the video game. I don't want to crush people's hopes - I know Lego and DC approves all the stuff WB/TT includes it in the game, but it doesn't mean we'll ever see them as actual sets or minifigs.
