  1. Great review!!! What are the chances you have the previous itterations of the X-Wing (the Dagobah version and 6212)? I'd love to see a side by side comparison of the two!!
  2. My guess is that they will go down. Using Star Wars as a reference, re-released sets hurt the value of older sets. 6209 ( the second version of the Slave 1) was a highly sought after set reaching near $200 for sealed sets, but once the latest itteration came out, 6209 is just about what it was at retail. Granted there have been a handful of Boba's, but the newest set has a better mold and a very similar Slave 1. The same can be said about the newest falcon versus the second version of the Falcon. The minifigs have changed a bit, but again the price of 4504 is just about at retail now loose. Granted this doesn't apply to sealed sets as much, but the value of loose sets definitely go down with respect to Star Wars for re-released sets. Now looking at the preliminary pictures, I would suspect the catwoman and batman/joker sets that were originally released to drop in value. Two-Face has a different body, so that might not drop too much. Once we get better photos, or actual release photos, then it will probably be easier to determine whether or not they will drop. I'm in the camp that the prices will drop due to the Star Wars comparisons.
  3. I don't mind the bulkiness of Ironman's helmet b/c the mask flips up to show his face...that alone makes it an amazing minifig!! :)
  4. With luck this might be another discounted set during Black Friday. :)
  5. Holy cow...was this all at retail or during a clearance?!
  6. Local Target in Pasadena, CA had the Harry Potter Burrows for 20% off...not that great.
  7. Wow! Congrats on this amazing win from a few years back. Thank you for sharing the photos with us and we cannot wait to see more of it. As if interest in this figure isn't high enough, you should definitely hit up Star Wars and Lego friendly message boards. Rebelscum.com is a huuuge Star Wars message board/site, and FBTB.net is mostly Star Wars Lego based. If and when you get an auction going, I suggest trying to get a hold of the ultimate Star Wars collector...Steve Sansweet. He collects all things Star Wars and I wouldn't be surprised if he plays a major role in the bidding of this rare item. I can't wait to see more of this process. Based on my gut alone, I see this being a $10,000+ piece. Congrats and I'm glad it's going towards something as good as a college education!!
