  1. Since he's unwilling to trade, I would send it back and get my money back. If you don't want to risk it, you can just resell it on eBay and hope to buy another one for the same price or cheaper. I'd do it sooner than later before the prices start to steadily rise on these figures. I guess it's expected to have members comment on the amount of money you spent on it, but if you really like the figure, then knock yourself out! I paid $250 for the Toy Fair figures this year, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase as they're great minifigs. Good luck!
  2. What kind of message board would we be if we didn't have people who complained??? :) Not everyone can be pleased, so there will always be complaints. I'm in the boat that I'd rather get them made, even if I don't particularly love the look, then not have them made at all. I would have preferred a Nick Fury like we saw in the Avengers w/ his black on black look, but it we're getting him in a different outfit...but it's okay b/c we're still getting him. :)
  3. Love the POTC / DC mashup! Captain Bats Sparrow is pretty awesome!
  4. That's a tough one. If you felt that you paid a bit too much, then I'd ask for a refund for say 10% of the item. At the end of the day, if you're that unhappy with it and if he doesn't have an extra to trade, just resell it back on eBay. The bizarros sell around the $125-135 range, so if you paid around that, then hopefully you're not losing anything. Sometimes on a freebie, I wouldn't expect it to be in amazing shape...it's kinda a buyer beware situation. Hope it all works out with you! Keep us posted!
  5. Play with Lego? I just display. rofl. :(
  6. That bad??? I actually prefer the printed minifigure head. I'll do without the mask piece
  7. Sadly you're probably right about CUUSOO. I guess there can always be an ultimate collector's style vehicle a la the batmobile released originally w/ the first run of Batman sets.
  8. Same here! It's on the shelves, so it's time to earn some VIP points!
  9. As long as we get her! :)
  10. That would make sense, but after seeing the movie, it would be a shame if Selina Kyle wasn't made in a set w/ the Batpod. I'm guessing that Lego still has some sets up their sleeves to surprise us.
  11. I originally voted for DC's Aquaman, but I wish I could change it to Gordon after watching TDKR
  12. I'll probably give this movie another go in the theaters before annointing it better than TDK. I'm leaning towards TDKR, but one more viewing and I'll make my choice.
  13. Billund here I come!!! I'd rather not go to the Legoland in San Diego just a couple hours away. rofl.
  14. Amazing conversion. Sadly, I don't think Lego's potential Arkahm set will look this good. ;/
  15. Still waiting for it to hit the Lego store
  16. Sadly, this will probably be a "buy on sale" set as I don't think it will be flying off the shelves. Part me of me wants me to go grab it now, b/c it looks like a fun little set. Thanks for posting the review and photos!
  17. With the news from Comic Con about the Rancor pit, this is going to turn a great set into an amazing set. Thanks for the comparison shots of the old Bib.
  18. They've been known to do that for a while now. They're pretty sneaky, and if it wasn't for some press reports, we wouldn't have known about the superhero figs too.
  19. I wish I wouldn't have clicked on this thread. If TLG decide to release a Bat, I'm going to be disappointed if it doesn't come close to your creation. Just simply a wonderful creation. Nicely done!!!
  20. The back and forth on this is amazing. Based on that photo, people can infer what they want from it. It won't change the opposing sides' mind unless TLG straight says it is based on 2013 stuff, or just on stuff that has been released/announced.
  21. Wow...that's all I can say with regards to the detail in this review. Thanks for all the photos. Easily one of the best reviews I've seen.
  22. Thanks for getting it going!
  23. LOL - i stand corrected!!
  24. That's a really tough poll to vote on. I decided to go with Nick Fury just b/c I'm glad the Avengers (movie based) are complete. Aquaman is pretty awesome in my book, so that was my DC vote.
  25. I agree wholeheartedly. Two was difficult enough in 2011, but four? That's just daunting!! I wish I would have done this, but people were willing to buy the minifigures from winners anywhere from $20-60. I'd pay $20 all day long to complete my sets and even help out boardies. Not sure why I didn't think of it before, but the con takes a toll on people. haha W/ regards to the newly shown figures, I think it's easy to say that Lego is still holding a few cards back and they're not showing their hand.
