  1. I've recently transitioned my Imperials to the Sushi Chef white leg / black boot pants. The Space Police CMF in this series also has boot pants, but they seem more (perhaps overly so) detailed with a boot top and belt. Thoughts?
  2. Awesome scene! I love the wave effect and the feeling of rough seas crashing on a rocky coast. The path / staircase fit in really nicely as well. Fun tree elements
  3. Great micro rock structures and micro ship! Building is fun too - I like the headlight windows
  4. Love the dish saw blade! Super cool
  5. Thanks! Having you go back and review my GoC builds today has been a good chance for me to review my progress as a builder since October. Those earlier builds had worse lighting and many fewer tiles I like the Ayrlego-style SNOT base in this build and have a few more ideas in the pipeline to expand on its use.
  6. Hey @Kai NRG - Yeah Duplos! Check out the hidden section in the first post to see the Duplo base
  7. Thanks! It's the interchangeable hat wig (DIY)!
  8. Looks like maybe plates on top of tiles for the corners? The plates have a single stud of connection on the lower section between corners?
  9. So many cool details! I especially love the pouring grape juice, press design, and water wheel. Great job!
  10. Very cool! Love the minifig designs (magistrate wig! imperial admiral tweak! white/greencoats!) and angled layout of the fort. What is the largish brown structure in the middle? A crane? Ballista? Would be pretty fun to introduce whitecoats / greencoats as new official figs.
  11. Fun build, @Ayrlego! I like the red/green flag garland and seeing all of the characters together. Hope you're feeling better. What's the backstory on Uncle, @Kai NRG? Good work all around everyone!
  12. @ChidJ Welcome to the Brick Seas, Pierre Caron!
  13. I thought this one looked familiar Great build!
  14. Thanks all! Was a fun one to do for sure Thanks! I'm not on Flickr, but I'm newly on Instagram, post in various Facebook Pirates Groups, and have a feed here you can follow. @Ayrlego, @Garmadon, @NOD, @Professor Thaum, @Khorne, @Kai NRG, @JintaiZ - For future builds, anyone have tips on how I could have incorporated trans-clear or trans-blue tiles into the fountain? I have 1x1 squares and rounds, and 1x2 rectangles, and none of them fit into the roundy fountain shape well I ended up just sticking the bright light blue under the dark tan, which worked OK, but makes the water seem a little rough.
  15. A Naval Intelligence Office, to be licensed to Corrington
  16. Task 11: Strategic Outposts 2: Naval Intelligence Office in Port Woodhouse
  17. In response to the war now declared with Oleon, the Corrington Admiralty has opened a primary Naval Intelligence Office in Port Woodhouse. Naval Intelligence officers are responsible for manning Corlander naval communication structures, inventing new means for inter-ship communication, developing written ciphers, and maintaining networks of undercover operatives. Their new presence in Port Woodhouse signals the focus given to technological advancement within the Corlander armed forces. The recent introduction of optical telegraph relay stations across the Brick Seas has greatly aided quick communication between ships and settlements. Lieutenant Keeling (right tower) is experimenting with a new flag-based semaphore method where individual flags represent letters. He signals down to the larger seaside mast-based semaphore tower and later will ride down to see how well the crew took down his message. Intelligence Captain Hunter meets with visiting Post-Captain Seward and explains the newest ciphers his crew will need to communicate written orders securely. ------------------------- @Ayrlego's Port Woodhouse builds are stunning and are what originally drew me to BotBs. I wanted to try one out! Making the tile pattern around the fountain was pretty fun. Submitted for license to Corrington as part of Glory of Corrington Task 11: Strategic Outposts
  18. Nice one! I love the way the trans-blue on the green baseplate makes it look sea green. I hadn't really explored Spudkirk before this - cool incorporation of the colorful style. Good ramp up from the water.
  19. I like the diagonal offset of the building on the landscape. The micro trees look huge, but well-formed.
  20. One takeaway here is that you've got to beware of sharks when carrying a barrel of fish
  21. I love the open-backed fort! Looks like tons of playability
  22. Unit Name: Royal Naval Intelligence Unit Type: Naval Intelligence Picture: Description: Royal Naval Intelligence officers are responsible for manning Corlander naval communication structures, inventing new means for inter-ship communication, developing written ciphers, and maintaining networks of undercover operatives. With the recent introduction of optical telegraph technology in the Royal Navy, the admiralty is instructing ships to include a naval intelligence officer among their crew complement to maintain secure communication of orders and intelligence. Higher ranking intelligence officers sport gold epaulettes and cuff embroidery. Links: Hussar's Isle Semaphore Naval Intelligence Office in Port Woodhouse
  23. He doesn't look very happy to be receiving mail - maybe it's taxes instead of BrickLink! @Ayrlego - Very cool to see them all together! Looking forward to the post on the 24th!
  24. Gorgeous build, @CapOnBOBS! I love the small details and great image captions
  25. Thanks for sharing this @Ayrlego! I recently stocked up on 1x2 plates in dark tan, tan, dark orange, olive green, sand green, medium nougat, light/dark bley, white, brown, etc. While building this way (using lots of little plates vs. bigger ones) means deconstructing a MOC takes much longer, it is much easier to build color and landscape variation during the build.
