looks really nice! the cab design is very clev

you are probably right the switch should be moved to the side/bottom where it is less succeptible to "accidents" 9v vs 12v shouldnt be an issue for the electronics inside atleast if the voltage regulators can handle it. output drivers dont really care about the voltage input and further electronics will probably run of of regulated 5v anyways
-
cant wait to see the draisina complete. nice work!
-
it isnt like 9v motors cant handle 12v for shorter periods of time hell they can even handle 20+v if you take a look at this video from a convention. the way to prevent this is to use a 9v wall adaptor instead of a 12v one so the 12v mode is useless.

yea i am in the same debacle with my loco aswell i have a red and a dark green livery and idk which one to choose!
-
the garden railway really does look awesome! the tractor looks right at home
-
yours fits the style of your locomotive pretty good so id say your solution is good aswell!
-
looks very nice and inkeeping with the style of the 9v regulator aswell!
-
i took your comment about the pantograph into consideration and i made this: i also improved the looks of the mounting solution of the pantograph to make it look more like the sbs 10 pantograph used on the prototype
-
yea i see where you are coming from and you are absolutely correct in that. i need to redesign mine aswell i which i based yours off of.

here is my latest progress on my loco: as you can see io added the tan stripe to the red one and had to redesign the headlight mounting for that. i also removed all parts that where held in by just friction namely the front and back windows and the side vents of the rear hoods. i also had the time to create a pantograph design for @Paperinik77pk. you just have to figure out a way to mount it to the roof of your "spielzeug"! as you can see the construction is essentially the same as my pantograph just instead of grey droid arms i used light bluish gray thin liftarms which should give it a better look relative to the style that you built the spielzeug in. the bars are 4l bars in light bluish gray with the top one beeing dark bluish gray to indicate the collector bar that touches the overhead line.

normally such h bridges have a voltage range from something like 6-12v or even 24v i dont know of any drivers that have a max voltage of 7.5v they are either 3v ,5v 12v or 24v. or if you want to go even higher there is 36v 48v or 52v. so no i dont think it would fry the hat the voltage regulator on it should handle the voltage aswell.

first off all i want to say that this is a masterpiece with its tile design to simulate the paneling but one thing i noticed is that the hinge of the magnets is allowing the magnet to swivel up and down rather then side to side. it should (atleast in theory) swivel side to side to allow kathie to go through curves without possibly derailing herself or the wagon infront of or behind her. edit: this comment is irrelevant i missed something
