Even when he was at his Lois, he was a true Family Guy. This conspiracy goes deeper than you think. The whole reason they bought BL was to make sure no listings for that ever saw the light of day. Absolute(haha)ly correct, but you buried the lead- Luthor got hit in the head with a brick. The League told batman he was in a holding cell to preserve the "no kill rule" thing, but he's DEAD.

I never said they couldn't. I'm saying it's ultimately not up to the designers what does and doesn't get made, within each license and more importantly between licenses. I know people are sad we don't get as much DC as we used too, but this is looking for a scapegoat. Do you honestly think the designers potentially liking marvel more is why we aren't getting many DC sets? You think that they can go "nah, we don't want to do DC, let's do more MCU", and not only does lego go "oh, ok", but DC's fine with it? This isn't like "oh they're making more sets based off clones rather than the OT", these are competing companies. It's a very nice UCS style set. I wish this wasn't the only type of good set we got now, but that's nothing against this one. Well priced and very solid. What's just as strange is he seems to come with the 1992 polybag's build? It doesn't really matter in any real capacity, but it's so strange seeing the build copy-pasted, especially when I can't remember ever seeing '66 batman perch on a gargoyle. I also just love the idea of jonkler or whoever running away, followed shortly behind by a gargantuan batman cradling a pile of bricks in one arm and just chucking them in his general direction.

Yeah, exactly, this is how I think it's going to go. Instead of sending his best men to be Spaarti cloned, perhaps he sends them to have their minds scanned for the drone's programming? Again, exactly what I think's going on. He'll manipulate anyone he can trust to continue serving the empire in some capacity, and essentially send Mando and the NR after anyone who he doesn't think he can use, probably in a way where he can net some of the resources and men in the aftermath. I forgot about the gideon clones, but to be fair so did the show for the vast majority of season 3, before just giving up and having the clones be killed before exiting their tanks. I feel like the season 3 Gideon has to be a clone for that plot to mean anything at all, and I could see him moving into a C'boath role where he's driven madder as he gains/attempts to gain force powers. -
Most of the marvel stuff is from the interviewer asking about marvel sets like the bugle and gauntlet. The designers bring up both the '66 and 1989 batmobiles themselves when more generic questions are asked. If anyone's focusing in on marvel here, it's the guy doing the interview. Also, why is it bad that they bring up the batmobiles? I actually think it's a good sign that they bring those up so frequently without being asked. I also don't see where you're getting that they specify DC as the testing ground for new parts? The closest I can find is that they say the 1x3 jumper was made for an (assumably cancelled) justice league set due to high-ups/DC staff requesting a vehicle be able to seat two people side-by side, but that's sort of the opposite- they felt they needed a new part for a request from above for a DC set. This Batman's no kill rule is only because he keeps missing with the bricks.

I agree that the Defender's return isn't a given- if nothing else, Thrawn is able to adapt, and I think his lack of men could be partially fixed by bringing back another TIE we've had a set of- the TIE-D drone. That said, I think Thrawn does have some resources at his disposal here. Aside from the fact that he can use resources a lot more judiciously than the old empire did, the first we heard of his return was Morgan obtaining industrial resources for him, and we've seen his ability to steal resources from the new republic. I do really like the slightly different situation they've put Thrawn in here with the material disadvantage- while I loved the Spaarti clones and think they could still work with the mentions of their instability as an example of why we almost never see non-Jango clones (You can't tell me that no one was able to come up with anything like it after the kaminoans died), it's cool to see an alternate, but still very Thrawn-like way to build an army without the men the old empire had. Reanimated soldiers, droids, (if I'm right) drone ships, it's a great way to even the odds and build up the threat, with it easier to resolve easier (shutting down droids, the nightsisters die and the zombies turn back to corpses as opposed to the end of the thrawn trilogy bringing them back to ROTJ where there's still a lot of mopping-up to be done) I doubt it'd be an imperial venator, we'd have three midi-scale grey triangles on sale at the same time (and at that point I think a standard ISD would make more sense). A number of people seemed to read my comment as "they SHOULD make figures inaccurate" instead of "most people don't notice a belt buckle or code cylinders", which, just... what? Of course it would be better if they were 100% accurate. -
The middle quote means nothing. "We love comic books, I'm sure we'll get more in the future" =/= "We personally decided to make more". This reads more like a defense against people saying stuff like "the designers don't care about the comics" than them saying they get to choose what sets are produced. It's also just a logic thing- do you think the massive toy company producing tie ins for a multibilliondollar entertainment company is going to have the actual designers deciding what sets get made? Especially if they could choose between DIFFERENT COMPANIES? If Mark Stafford got to decide how many marvel vs DC sets got made, and it was this lopsided, DC lawyers would be frothing at the mouth. The latter one is him saying he likes daredevil so he squeezed references into the set. If the designers got to choose which sets to make, this would imply we'd have daredevil sets, wouldn't it? If anything this works against the idea that Mark and the other designers are preventing us from getting more DC sets. Rectangular Prisim Man. Bro is wider than he is tall.

Where are you reading this in the article? The only thing I could potentially be seen as being read like that is the following- Are there two different teams, one DC and one Marvel, or do you all do everything? Adam: We do everything. But that's where PR comes in, because I feel that we are in a lucky situation where the models we were working on are chosen according to our preferences. I don't think that they went to anyone else to ask if they can go with the ‘66 Batmobile but me. And this way you get the best world possible because people care for the stuff now. But I think that's a pretty big stretch. This sounds a lot more to me like "The team comes and asks the designers which of the listed sets they want to do" rather than "the designers choose which models to make". I can't imagine that's how it's all drawn up legally- I mean if you got a big Hawkeye fan on the team I doubt we'd start seeing a ton of hawkeye sets, and that's a minor example compared to different companies potentially making or not making money. If Jerry on the design team liking spider-man more than batman meant we didn't get batman sets, DC would eat them alive in the courtroom. But even putting the implausibility aside, I fee like the wording kind of makes this clear. "I don't think they went to anyone else to ask if they can go with"- the high-ups already had a '66 batmobile on the docket, they were just finding out which designer wanted to do it.

I'd never heard of this show, but upon a quick wiki search it seems like a classic 80s hero show- I'm surprised it's not as popular as Knight Rider or the like. The car's a very nice mod of the already great countach set they put out, and the electro outfit for Automan works really well.

I feel like this is referencing something I haven't heard regarding the venator- As for "a child does not care because of young age"- for something like Thrawn not having the correct number of code cylinders or whatever, this is absolutely true. 99.99% of kids- unless told about it by a whiny youtuber they look up to- wouldn't even NOTICE that inaccuracy, much less care. I agree, and it's a tie fighter (plus a dropship, which I always loved as a kid with the ability to lower the ramp and have the troops storm out, so that can't hurt), so it's not like it's gonna shelfwarm if kids haven't seen Rogue One or something. -
I didn't know we founded Rome! But if you notice, all those examples except for the sandspeeder (which in itself was a super weird set with a really odd release schedule, with IIRC the first we'd heard about it being it's release in store, it for some reason containing the helmet Rey wore in TFA, and in itself having the only legends appearance being a shoutout in the tabletop roleplaying game, since it's creation was in an unproduced toyline lucasfilm rejected even for legends.) released before the TFA sets and the real kickoff of the disney era.

I don't know what universe you're in, but the main lego car line's standard cars go for $27 now. I think the reason the two transformers lego have done so far are large 18+ sets is because lego is very adult-focused at the moment and is tuned into that nostalgia vein as you say. A lego transformer will always be more expensive than a comparatively sized/articulated mainline transformer, just as most lego IPs have sets more expensive than the comparative non-lego version of the product. Kids still buy the lego version- often to the point they outperform the normal version- because it's made of lego.

The rebel pilot helmets were almost universally despised, and I haven't seen that level of hate for the plastic capes. People won't shut up about how much they hate the new stormtrooper mold (let it go) but they've kept that. I don't think the plastic capes will disappear. Though part of this is my conviction that lego has been phasing out cloth elements. I know what people will say/have said, but I stand by it. First the Kamas on Star Wars troopers, then some of the specialized capes like Strange and Batman '89, and now more generic marvel capes. -

I agree, the good news is it's been in development for some time, I remember the Cal and Merrin voice actors confirmed they'd been doing lines for game 3 forever ago. When the third Jedi series game- Jedi: Rising Son or what have you (it's like poetry it rhymes)-releases, it's our best shot at a Mantis. I totally agree, but I think part quality decreasing is different than small details about the set. Take Fives's helmet for example. A lot of people complain about how it officially looks in stock photos and such. I think it's absurd to get that worked up over it. However, if I got my fives, and it was misprinted, that makes sense to hold lego responsible for. One is a subjective anger about how a figure looks. The other is an objective quality decline. I don't know about you guys, but I've had more misprints, missing parts, and scratched parts (though honestly I don't send replacement requests for those, I don't know where the "line" should be on how scratched is too scratched) in the past 2-3 years than in the rest of my life, and the amount of sets I've been buying has gone heavily DOWN, not up, especially over the last year. How many playsets in the average august wave? I feel like 8 is a reasonable enough number, I wouldn't be shocked if If there is a march wave, I'd be confident it's some of the sets that have already leaked. Midi ships, logo, and/or helmet(s) I hate this piecemeal approach to 1HY. I want my big january wave back. I also want to go back to three big waves a year rather than this big august wave and the january wave spread across the first 6 months of the year. (I feel like an old man with that first part but it really hasn't been that long. I think 2021 started the decline of the january wave.) -

I'd rather have Full Metal Punisher/War Punisher or the War of the Realms punisher. Actually, give me War of the Realms versions of everyone in that event, please. LEGO! Give me Venomized Joe Swanson, and my life is yours! But actually this might be the funniest idea in the thread. You know he'd just speak in a normal Patrick Warburton voice. "Hey, uh, Peter. I've had the overwhelming urge to eat brains and fight spider man. I think I'm, uh, gonna go do that now." Lego tends not to be the biggest fan of guns. They make parts of them, sure, but that's kind of impossible to avoid given the sheer amount of action licenses they have, and they still end up being goofy and unrealistic like the giant block pistols (Which themselves are now only really used as star wars blasters, I guess even they were too realistic) or the classic lego marvel double barrel. So all that said, I'd guess they aren't looking for ways to add more guns to their sets, and unfortunately Agent Venom isn't too different of a design from Normal Venom, so lego's fine just pumping out the same venom design for what, 5 years now? As a complete side note, could we get the block pistols in marvel sets again? I'm not asking for an exact replica of your beretta or your smith and wesson, but I think the block pistols hit the right mix of "doesn't look like a real gun model" and "has the correct amount of barrels for a gun" Me to Venomized Hulkbuster (2025, $55, 47 pieces. Comes with an outrider and Venomized Venom) The last big marvel game based on more than 1-2 characters got multiple full waves using it's designs. I wouldn't be shocked- while Avengers did pretty poorly as a game, the set with the figure designs from it seemed to do just fine. -
That image feels like AI to me, but I can't find any tells. All signs point to it just being a distressingly real image of a Demo Dummy worshippier. Depressing of course only because it's not large enough- your offerings to your savior are meager and it does not feast upon them. I think you need a real-life life-sized demo dummy involved somewhere. I don't think so, but I know in an infinities story (so never canon even back in legends), Jar Jar's dad was a war hero who dressed like Washington, was a pretty normal guy compared to jar jar, and actively tried to kill himself due to having spawned Jar Jar upon the universe. The green rabbit guy, Jaxxon, is canon. We somehow live in a cruel twisted world where it's more likely we see an official lego green rabbit man than Lego Mara Jade.

Now you're on MY hit list. I'm a completely innocent Mara Jade fan with absolutely no criminal activity going on. Any resemblance this story has to the fact that I can't open that one cabinet in my house, or why I'm so tired all the time and the sand circle around my bed always has footsteps when I wake up, or that dream I had last night where I woke up in Europe and this Arthur Harrow guy was trying to take a lego kyber crystal from me and I kept blacking out and waking up with lightsabered bodies around me- it's all purely theoretical. If it's similar to the 2021 one, but 50% more expensive, I'd consider it a bad set. I love that a bit of turtle lives on in us all via the fact half this thread's posters now do the bolded "guys!" and random bolded words. But I agree, this will 100% be a set. Demo Dummy will rise again.

I'd take a carnage dinosaur, that actually sounds cool. I could see lego making a venomized building at some point. Even if it's just a side build or something. YES. YES. KEEP TALKING. YES. Venom's Hall of Venoms ($59.99): comes with 2x outrider, 4x venom (it's the same minifigure), a buildable venom (it's literally the 2019 igor build with black instead of blue and a different face). Build is an exact replica of the 2019 hall of armor, just with all parts in black. Venomception. Wolverized Venomarine -

I never get why people pretend that acronym is anything besides a "haha it means something else too" joke. If you want to shorten it, you just say Falcon. I've never heard anyone use the acronym naturally. I'd also say Anakin's ETA-2 is very likely. I'd even be so bold as to put money on the may 2026 one being either the TIE advanced or AT-ST. Not to my knowledge. I stick by $40 is good, $45 is unfortunately likely, $50 is also somewhat likely but will make it so I don't buy the set unless it hits sale. -

I don't really want to read this, but I also really want to know what this was. It's pandora's box. I've been wanting a brickbuilt one of these guys for FOREVER. Exactly. It's not about whether or not it's ok to say it as an adult or whatever (it was a good joke by the way I agree), it's about whether or not it's appropriate for kids. The F-bomb 116 times is not appropriate for kids, I think most parents would agree. -
I do think Lego Soundwave is on his way- while I think megatron shows up eventually, I'm sure they'll wait until they've got the other obvious ones out since he'll be a little trickier to pull off with their rules- and I wouldn't be surprised if we got a GWP or expansion pack of whatever major casseticons don't come in the actual set. I enjoy doing these, so here's a third wave: Polybag: 2-in-1 Throttlebots (Bumblebee and Cliffjumper) ($4.99) Enemy vs Ramhorn ($9.99) Sideswipe ($26.99) Constructicon Bonecrusher ($29.99) Constructicon Scavenger ($34.99) Ironhide ($36.99) Constructicon Hook ($44.99) Blaster ($44.99): Comes with Eject and Steeljaw Prowl vs Constructicon Mixmaster ($54.99) Astrotrain ($74.99) Omega Supreme ($149.99) Transformers Art Set ($299.99): Mosaic that can be made into the transformers logo, Optimus Prime in truck mode, or Optimus Prime in robot mode. There'd also be a combo pack of all the Constructicon sets to form Devastator - Devastator ($244.94): Devastator and Prowl, with exclusive instructions to rebuild Prowl into a head.

Also, a LOT of kids are exposed to the original star wars movies through their parents. Even if they don't like the new stuff (and so many of them like mando) it's not like they haven't seen any of the older stuff in the franchise. EXACTLY. I don't care if you want to obsess over lego details- I do that. But our liking of a children's toy doesn't change the fact that it IS A CHILDREN'S TOY BRAND. This reads the same way to me as the people who say stuff like "clone wars isn't for kids". It is. It is a show primarily aimed at kids. It has a lot of stuff adults can enjoy as well, but it's a show for kids. That doesn't make it wrong to enjoy it. Bought the Mando vs Imperials pack. The set does a great job making the most of a limited part count to really bulk up the footprint and size, and the figures are great. Once these hit sale, I'll probably grab a few more. -
Those are the movies where he kills a buttload of aliens, too. Great movies but unless you're Captain America, Iron Man, or in the first half, Thor, the individual characterizations can be a bit off. Or Batman just falls and tanks the hit. He's done so from orbit before. Turtle's final mystery unraveled.... LUIGI IS BRICKHEADZ JOKER
