  1. Three things: We don't know for sure that it's just a clone captain and mace windu. They've been saying from the beginning that it's episode 2, from battle of geonosis. It's in other things but LEGO said from the start that it would be the model from attack of the clones (The clone wars vehicle is actually slightly different). It's a UCS set, it's not supposed to have a full figure complement, it's supposed to be a display set with related figures on the plaque. We were never going to get something like 2 clone pilots, anakin, ahsoka, jedi bob, and every named clone.
  2. I've never commented on the figure before, why are you singling this out of my thoughts on the set? I'm allowed to say that I'd prefer a more comics accurate Cat, and I stated over and over that the minor gripes I had about the set were just nitpicks and it was overwhelmingly a spectacular set. I'm not being rude, vulgar, or bringing it up every 5 seconds. I really don't see how my comment warranted a response like this. That's interesting, I suppose sets like this do take much longer to develop.
  3. Good to know! I literally cannot find this man on google. I think he's there as just a generic employee, in which case i'd have preferred ned, but it's such a minor thing. Actually, all my gripes with this set are tiny. I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS SET. I'd stopped buying lego marvel for over a year, but between this and the new compound, it seems I'll be working some extra hours this summer! Pros (of which there are many): The build. God, the build is amazing. For the most part, it's an actual building, not a facade, with all four walls included. It looks like a MOC, and aside from that goblin-smashed window (which apparently can be rebuilt using just the debris parts!), it looks like just a building, which is great. It's not trying to be a kids set. The only "play" features are either for display (goblin glider explosion, clear parts for arranging characters) or the wall explosion made so you can look into the ground floor without removing the roof. The figures are also amazing. Twenty-five figures, including amazing new ones like Daredevil, Punisher, Blade, etc, as well as excellent civilians to staff the building. Cons (Minor nitpicks for the most part, and all about the figures rather than the build.): There isn't really a full sinister six. Sure you've got the main four of doc ock, goblin, sandman, and mysterio, but the remaining three possible villains in the set don't work. You could maybe do venom, as while he's more of a hero nowadays he was in the sinister six sometimes, but even then you've only got five and black cat and carnage really do not fit into the sinister 6 at all. Speaking of black cat, there are a few figures that while great as an idea, weren't executed perfectly. Cat herself has some, uh, torso alterations, that while understandable for a kids toy don't work when it's an 18+ set and we've had more revealing figure costumes in other sets. Likewise, Blade really needed some hair, and Gwen's civilian outfit doesn't work. Finally, speaking of Gwen, Spider-Gwen and Miles shouldn't have been in this set. This is clearly a homage to the raimi films and the classic comics, and cartoons, not the relatively more recent ones. (Is ghost spider even in 616?). Personally I think the figures would have been so much better if you replaced Miles and Spider-Gwen with Electro and Iceman (C'mon, you can't have only one of spidey's amazing friends!). But overall I've only really got the one actual gripe, the figure selection having a couple questionable choices in an overall stellar lineup, so I can't really complain. This is by far the best marvel set ever, and I hope it sells well so we can possibly see the Avengers Tower, Sanctum Sanctorum, Latvian Embassy, Oscorp, etc as sets in this style.
  4. No, I think you're right that they're the biggest SW toys at this point. I'd say the only thing coming CLOSE is the funko pops, action figures no longer have nearly as much popularity. I also agree that the videogames helped engrain the lego-star wars connection in the culture, to the point that SW has a bigger connection with lego than comparably large brands like Marvel and DC.
  5. Superb part usage, I particularly like the 6-stud shooters and treads, they're integrated so well that you don't even notice them at first. The easter eggs are an excellent touch as well. A childhood of the Lego Star Wars games meant I was conditioned to spot that minikit immediately, but I admit I didn't notice the yoda crate until @Stuartn mentioned it.
  6. No, he's doing a hypothetical scenario based off the fact that Quinlin and Luminara canonically survived the first wave of order 66 (Quinlin is on a list of jedi survivors in the comics the post is named after, and since they've got Luminara's body in rebels you'd have to assume she wasn't immediately shot to bits like Aayla, Ki-adi, etc. It's a great MOC, I like the conference table a lot. The walls are very detailed as well (That tile solution for the lighted walls is smart), and you've pulled off a smooth curve of the wall for the conference room itself.
  7. I want to make this comment my signature. For all the "lego never does what the fans want" lego has pretty much done almost everything the fans want these past couple years. 501st set, all the figures you listed, more prequel sets, more TCW sets despite the fact that the show is over, cheaper starfighters, etc. You could even include the UCS gunship (though it was a fan vote, at least it was one of the three options they gave). As an aside, everyone's moaning about the rumored lack of a p2 cody again...they've been saying the set was based off episode 2 from the start, cody and rex would never make sense. I actually like the idea of jedi bob as aside from being sort of a meme, he was in the first-ever gunship, and could easily fill in as any of the army of generic jedi in the battle of geonosis. Every time the contract is renewed there's doom and gloom surrounding the date the renewal ends, despite the fact that they've renewed it multiple times and there's no reason they'd stop, LSW is profitable for both disney and lego. It's just pessimism.
  8. I believe mantis leaked awhile back and is indeed a new update. We weren't ever going to get new characters, since we've already had all the main guardians. Rocket's outfit is completely new, and we finally have an accurate starlord. Who were you expecting?
  9. Loooooove the new sets, child me would be frothing at the mouth right now. I've been trying not to buy lego marvel anymore because I really just care about the figures, but that compound has me tempted as hecc. Currently I'm thinking I'll sell my current versions of the figures, then use that money to buy the new set, then sell off the compound (but not that destroyed avengers sign, i love that), the figures that aren't thanos or the big three, and the Ant-van to make a small display set of the big three facing off against thanos. Net profit (Stonks) + better figures, I think i've rationalized it for myself. Opinions on the other sets: 4+ cap is a juniors set if I ever saw one, but it's peak juniors. Interesting new cap figure, build that isn't...that bad, and a generic goon. BP dragon flyer isn't a set I get the inclusion of as it's not really an iconic vehicle, but the figures and ship both look good. Iron Monger is oversized, but I'm not really as bothered by that as I was by the oversized hulkbusters, for some reason. Benatar looks very well-built. Gauntlet seems off to me, I think the Hand part of it is too skinny.
  10. don't get too curious lol, it's mainly parts to update my republic gunship mods and build a real-bricks model of my tx-130 based off your own design!
  11. Do pre-orders count? I got the bad batch shuttle. I'm also readying a bricklink order of parts for some republic vehicle mocs and mods.
  12. Unfortunately I am a purist. . Right now i'm thinking some combination of the hose handle piece and headlight brick to get a blockier gun. If anyone's got omega suggestions, those would help too!
  13. I'm trying to work out a purist custom of her as I can't wait until 2022 for an official figure. Another thing is that while the stormtrooper helmet change was controversial, the rebel pilot helmet change was universally despised. R2-D2 was that set. A $200 D2C, I believe people just used "UCS" as the style of the set.
  14. Star wars: Iconic Moments wave: a wave of 18+ display sets based on iconic scenes from the saga (Bespin Duel style). These sets would have a display build with no play features and a black border around the base with a plaque containing the name of the movie. I have to finish my star wars gaming wave (Only sets left are finishing up the larger of the battlefront 2 sets, the mantis, and the ebon hawk, but my computer is now too old to run stud.io so I have to buy a new one ), but after that I might try making some of these.
  15. Yes, they look great. Definitely cements purchasing the Trexler marauder for me, unless the set design is just pure garbage. (Huh, weird that the first two sets to have figure leaks both are vehicles with marauder in the name) Yeah, somewhat frequently too. *sigh* As much as I'd like to say he's making it up for clicks, he's been right too many times for me to ignore it. On the other hand, this is a far cry from the other leaks he's had. This isn't let a set list leaking, this'd have to be someone REALLY high up on the totem pole at lego to know the intricacies of their contract. All rise for the almighty Gonk! This is probably treasonous, but I might just like Omega more than baby yoda. She's adorable and has the emotional connection, but she's also not a baby, so she can actually make decisions and have a personality. Also, Luckily, a figure of her shouldn't be too hard to make.
  16. Another wave, like the skywalker saga one but for the three major shows currently (Already did a bad batch wave and it's only got one episode so far, so i left it out for now) :
  17. I think I misinterpreted your original comment, I thought you were saying that the cockpit should be able to hinge up without removing the top in-universe. I pre-ordered the set, can't wait till august!
  18. Always great to see mocs from star wars: Commander! I love the rocket turret rendition.
  19. Ok, cool, thanks. In that case, the crosshair figure seems a bit boring to me, but it might just be the in-universe design. I think he would have benefitted from a new mold, though, they really need to make a p2 helmet with pin holes for clone commanders and clones with antenne. To be fair, this isn't like an x-wing or something, the cockpit wouldn't open like that in-universe.
  20. Ok but to be fair, Rune Haako is A: not really in combat, meaning that lego's less likely to include him since he can't be in action stuff B: has tiny roles in those films and C: lego hasn't made a single canon set based off books or comics. I'll admit the kaminoans and Tambor should have shown up by now, though. Does the name of the set matter, like, at all? If anything, naming it "bad batch shuttle" will help parents recognize it if they don't watch the show, meaning it could sell more copies. Smart marketing choice, and since we all know it's the havoc marauder already, no downside. I got one of my friends who's never seen clone wars to watch it, and even HE liked it! Definitely pre-ordering the Marauder, I'm so happy it fits four (and can easily be modded to fit five), and the shuttle and figures are gorgeous. Also, are we allowed to reference the 5th figure at all? This isn't even like a leak, they official revealed a set containing that figure and their name, which means it feels to me like it should be ok to mention.
  21. Anyone have any ideas for the bad batch's weapons? Some choices are clear: Echo and tech have the standard clone pistols with existing lego molds, and hunter's knife is easily replicated with a golden lego knife. But I'm not sure what to do for the clone commando blasters used by Hunter and Wrecker. The official set just uses the double barrel gun from marvel .
  22. Amazing! We need more Chiss vehicles in lego, and this is a great design. You did a good job giving it an alien, almost organic feel with how you made the curved wings, it looks just like the legends ship.
  23. I agree with this conclusion. Even if they actually did just completely leave off an interior (I hope not, but they've done it before), it'd be an easy mod to access that area. Mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Even more spoilery: The Bad Batch are in the show and it takes place sometime between 100bby-100aby And Mephisto isn't in it, SMH Marvel, first wandavision and now this. I think you're fine, they're in all the trailers and not a spoiler like REDACTED . I totally agree that we need them in more sets and this is a good way to get them.
  24. I'm guessing midi legs, she seems to be in her early teens. Somewhat off-topic but Omega's great, I usually find kids in star wars to be written and acted or VA'd annoyingly, but Omega was actually really well-done. I'm worried about this. l was looking at the main hull, trying to figure out how it could open, and the only way I can see if if the entire top, including the top wing, lifts off.
