  1. I don't remember the exact qoute, but I know it was here- IIRC someone was lamenting we'd never get deadpool 3 sets and he said "never say never"
  2. Geez guys, I think it's pretty well covered. I don't think every individual member needs to chime in and go "well I think you're wrong, @Lego Nostalgia". Yeah, it's subjective whether or not someone likes a movie. You can't really call an opinion wrong. It's also true that the marvels, by a lot of metrics, really just wasn't that good. You're arguing past eachother, and starting to escalate it from going after opinions to making implications about people's character, which.. c'mon. Don't imply that kind of stuff. If we can actually just move on, I am wondering what Falconfan's old comments mean in regards to deadpool 3. That's 100% not a trailer for a movie ages 6-12 should be watching in any capacity. I wonder if we'll get something just generally TVA related, or some sort of Wolverine set allegedly based on '97 or just general X-men that features his Deadpool and Wolveriene suit.
  3. I just finished the Ornithopter today. It may be one of the best sets I've ever built. The thing is HUGE for the price, looks incredible, and has a real presence in the room it's in. The figs are also excellent, almost every major character is here in the one set. I'd say it's like a 9/10 with just couple minor gripes, some of which are more subjective than objective. The color matching here can be rough. The blue pins and red axles are fine, but there's a lime piece that you can see pretty clearly from some angles that's just a 1x2 brick. The figures are nearly perfect, but I would have much preferred Stilgar to Kynes (aside from just the fact that he leads the Fremen more directly, that "I don't care what you believe, I BELIEVE" from the trailer for Dune 2 is an incredible line delivery and the character deserves a figure), and I would rather have had Paul and Jessica with stillsuit masks on the other sides of their heads. I made a small display for the figures just using some tan parts for sand, with the Baron floating behind. It's truly an incredible set. I truly hope we get more Dune, just for my love of the franchise and wanting characters like Stillgar and the Sardukar, but they won't be able to match the engineering that went into this thing.
  4. I don't think it'll have any new prints, and it's a pretty generic droid transport- it'll most likely just be a downsized version of the one they've done a few times already. My assumption is aside from the youtubers who are buying insane copies of sets anyway, most people who want a lot of droid transports would just bricklink the parts for ~$10-15 rather than spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on sets they wouldn't otherwise be getting for a GWP. It's been a good chunk of time since our last droidika, I'm hoping they've come up with something using some newer parts. That 1l bar with the stud that they use to pose CMF figs feels like it could factor in somewhere, maybe to help mount the guns on it.
  5. Unfortunately the trailer confirms that hard R, what with the language and the joke when the TVA corner him (I thought he said "begging" on first viewing, but while that isn't as vulgar there's no way disney would let him put something about their current quality/financials in the movie), so @BrickBob Studpants is almost certainly safe, falconfan's comments aside.
  6. Are they? It's cool, but it is B1s. They aren't exactly rare. I'm not sure it'll drive people more than other years' promos. I like the GWP, and probably should have held off on purchases until may, as it is something I'd like to have gotten. I don't want any of the may sets, so this'll be the first year in a few where I miss the promo for may 4th. I don't think it's a minifig, I think it's a minifig-scale droidika. Though that's confusing too because they say "at last", but... haven't most droidikas been roughly figure-scaled? I always thought they were about the height of a minifig/droidikas in lore were about the height of a human, and a quick google puts them at 6ft/1.83m.
  7. Not to mention some of the details are kind of sketchy in terms of what they purport to know/not know. The combo vehicle sets claims to have a vehicle for Lloyd but doesn't say he's included as a figure, which pretty glaringly sounds like a tip-off that the list is fake.. "Villain Jay" also sets off some red flags for me, as even putting aside the fact that he seems to return as a ninja in the teaser trailer, I'm a little suspicious that they didn't see his outfit but are sure he's a villain. This really sounds to me like someone took the set names- the ones that IIRC ARE actually legit- and just made up descriptions. Also- and I do think this is the case regardless of the description legitimacy- wolf mask warriors will still be the villains? When was the last time we had the same villains in 1HY as 2HY, the sky pirates?
  8. Not to minimod, but all you do is falsely claim cancelled sets are coming, man. Please stop.
  9. Yeah. Out of all the things you could choose to complain about with this set, "stickers exist" is certainly an interesting choice for the deciding factor. I do think the set would do better if they'd added more animals and just upped the price a bit- Lion Knight's castle was significantly more expensive than this and did pretty well, so the demand is clearly there. Personally, my biggest issue is honestly just that it doesn't feel like much of a village compared to the old one. I don't know if it needs more side builds, different looking buildings, or what, but this one feels a lot more like two disjointed buildings than a medieval town.
  10. I don't mean to keep harping on this idea, but iin what scenario does the set include tarkin but it's based on battlefront 2? A significant amount of the BF2 map is rooms from the DS1 anyway, so at that point why even make it the death star 2 instead of the much more iconic DS1.
  11. This is absolutely not the case, we've had star wars battle packs-named as such-with four unique figures-not even just unique as in different from eachother, but as in characters there aren't multiple of in canon-as well as a ton with one repeated figure and two unique ones.
  12. Thanks! Yours looks nice too. Thank you! I thought the mech was one of lego's better ones to start, but for $15, it needed that extra oomph.
  13. Love this! Though unfortunately it seems Indiana Jones has already fallen down that trash conveyer...
  14. It's been confirmed a few times to be TV-MA, and while nothing is ever a guarantee, given that the recent rewrites/reshoots bringing those characters in, alongside , it seems they're moving closer to the original TV-MA show, not away from it. Which means we almost certainly won't get anything, as lego was pretty much tricked into making the echo figure. I guess if we do end up getting some sort of deadpool 3 representation, it would imply daredevil is possible, but even then, deadpool's a movie that by all indications will be avengers-level importance for the future of the MCU, and Daredevil (hopefully) will be a TV-MA show disconnected from the other MCU shows and projects, so I could see a situation where deadpool squeaks through (I still have my wild conspiracy theory that we'll see PG-13 and R cuts of the movie) but daredevil doesn't get anything. I love the netflix daredevil show, but I get why that won't get any lego sets. You gotta remember, the interiors are around the same size as the interior of the star wars freighters, but things like the ghost and falcon have interior space over the majority of the ship- almost all the interior space of the Milano and Benatar are in that middle section, with the massive wings on either side. Imagine if the falcon had proportional wings.
  15. Pretty darn low, man. I know we've had a bit of battlefront 2 coverage before, but they were battle packs. This is the largest non-UCS set of the year. They have done obscure ones before (Justifier), but a $150-200 set on a 7 year old game doesn't feel like it'll do well, especially when all figs but Cal would then have to be grunts (and we know lego seems a lot more hesitant with location/playsets than ships). Not to mention that even the map itself had to use rooms pretty clearly from the first death star. It's not impossible, especially for this wave, but it still feels exceedingly unlikely. It'll almost certainly be based on the films.
  16. It's just as real as all the other leaked sets, which is to say- unless a number of these major sources have suddenly been fed false info, which is exceedingly unlikely to hit all of them- it's real. The real question is who the other two figures are- given that we've got Dark Rey, White Vader, "evil" chewie and 3po, the final two figures- one of whom is a gungan wearing blue- seem really interesting. I'm still coping hard for Starkiller, who we almost certainly won't get, but you know.
  17. I think he is supposed to be Major Derlin/the guy from cheers
  18. Sort of? As @psqidexslizer mentioned, there's a couple more that directly got sets. But the main thing is that from 2012-2018 or so, the "comic-based" avengers sets were pretty clearly based on avengers assemble, featuring designs ripped from the show and even concepts that as far as I know are exclusive to that show (iron skull, for example). Similarly, the spider-man sets we got from 2019-2021/22 were inspired by the series running around that time (though I believe it ended a year or two before the line did), getting us stuff like Anya Corazon's spider-girl and more importantly, potentially starting that inane venomized trend from the show's venom event. So while we probably wouldn't see sets with "Batman: Caped Cruscader" emblazoned on the sides, having the cartoon out there makes lego more likely to produce "comic-based" batman sets in general- likely ones featuring the same characters, and potentially designs, as the series.
  19. He's gotta keep his promise, man! @BrickBob Studpants if the time comes, I figure you gotta at least chomp down on the lad enough to get some teeth marks on the parts. Though I think someone linked a study back when it first happened claiming that adults were able to consume at least the head pretty normally. Actually, in regards to my own bet, I am gonna try to do something with Malak, even though I was right in that Renown's hints ended up with something releasing besides a malak plushie. I don't want to spoil it, especially since I'm not sure if I'll have time, but we'll see. (I want to clarify this does not involve eating the malak figure) I had one of those 2x2 inverted tiles, the one they use for sliders on vehicles, back when I was 7, and I like to think it's still stuck in my stomach somewhere. I actually do have some insider info here- this is technically correct. However, they couldn't decide whether to make a Surtur figure or to just brick-build a head for the mech, and ended up doing neither, so it's a $15 mech that looks like a headless Surtur with a Thor figure (Reused from the quinjet and tower)
  20. I'll spoil the fun and tell him There's an animated series called Batman: Caped Cruscader currently in development hell. It's got some of the BTAS guys behind it though, so I think there is a chance we see it.
  21. Not to get too off-topic, but they technically have crossed that line with Echo, albeit unwittingly and retroactively. I was also going to mention the Andor set, but apparently Andor is teen? Which I guess makes sense, there wasn't any gore, explicit content (though I think this is the most it's been implied in star wars), or MA-rated real-world language, but the show just feels like a TV-MA show. Good (Though saw's got armor and a bit of a cape in Fallen Order, clearly rogue one is the more obvious between the two, and he's still mostly human in FO), RO saw is probably most deserving of a figure, though I'd like his FO/Rebels/SWGOH look at some point as well.
  22. My money's still on a spoof of the watcher- Darth Jar Jar would fit in this wave, but I dunno why he'd be wearing blue. If only. My guess is Rogue One saw, right? That's his most mainstream appearance.
  23. At least we're semi likely to get the mold if the line continues- sideswipe, Mirage, etc all use it IIRC. I dunno- I feel like Scarlett Johannsson is a weird choice to voice her. I have hope we'll see him. We might see Bee and Soundwave first- Bee's probably the second most iconic transformer now, and Soundwave has some excellent GWP/expansion pack potential with his many Casseticons- but I feel like Megatron can be done pretty well. I agree, throw on a bit more purple or red than normal, make the tank's turret a little more sci-fi, etc, and they're golden.
  24. You're awfully confident about this when there's a lot about the set and it's context we don't know. It could be based on some currently unknown new media (which would explain the gungan), it could be some random lego thing, it could be based on a specific time, it could be across multiple time periods. Both could reasonably be the anniversary figure - you're forgetting Vader died before Rey was born. Chewie and 3PO are alive during both periods so the figures meant to be in the set hypothetically could come from either. Personally I'd guess white vader is the anniversary fig- he's from the infinities comic, which fits with the figs being from outside the skywalker saga. The figures "supposed" to be there timeline wise would make sense as rey/chewie/3PO are a more complete crew for an ST falcon than chewie/vader/3PO are for an OT one. Throw in another "standard" fig- say, light side Kylo Ren or an evil R2- and then the gungan's a spoof of the Watcher, explaining the blue robes. All that said, I could be totally wrong- it could be an OT falcon, and they just didn't want to make evil versions of the human characters besides the already-canon dark rey, who'd be the anniversary fig. The blue gungan or unknown fig could be the anniversary fig, or it could just be in another set. Point being, there's no way to know for sure.
