Not necessarily. The Western Saloon set from the AFOL Design Program did pretty well as far as I am aware. As for Lone Ranger, the movie it was based on bombed, so why would you expect the sets to do any better?

How new must your device be in order for the app to work?

Hidden Side VS Monster Fighters
Lego David replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I absolutely agree. Monster Fighters is timeless, but I don't know if Hidden Side is going to age very well (especially with the app gimmick that would be completely useless as soon as the theme retires). -
@OwenMistika, the Helicopter is still pretty cool though.

Well, we had Roman and Egyptian soldier minifigures in the CMFs, so they could go with those.

To tie into the City discussion, I would personally like to see them revisit World City.

Hidden Side VS Monster Fighters
Lego David replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I personally love both the antagonists and protagonists on both Monster Fighters and Pharaoh's Quest. I don't see any issue with either of them, personally. -
Hidden Side VS Monster Fighters
Lego David replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
While I think HS is a good line in it's own right, I personally prefer MF. With Hidden Side, while it's supposed to be a spooky line, the color schemes are kinda too bright and colorful, which isn't all that spooky. With MF, on the other side, the color schemes are mostly black, grey and glow-in-dark white, which makes it look actually pretty spooky, fitting incredibly well with it's setting. But that's just my preference. -
For some reason, I can't find the Hidden Side app on the Play Store of my phone. Why is that? Is the app only available on specific devices or something?
-
So yeah, I have heard a lot of people say that Hidden Side is a successor to Monster Fighters, and there are definitely a lot of similarities. But which one of them do you personally prefer? Share your thoughts!

What is the Status of LEGO Constraction?
Lego David replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
How do I do that? -
So, it's been quite a while already since we last had a full Constraction theme, and a about a year since we last had any Constraction sets, with the Star Wars buildable figures being the last ones we got. What is the status of it? Is Constraction discontinued for good, or is it just taking a temporary break? I would like to get an official answer if possible.

Well, I believe this would be a good moral to learn from this discussion

LEGO Ideas Discussion

Pirate Bay got approved! Yay! -
Well, at least we got Pirates, so I am very happy with that too.
-
I really hope the Blacksmith shop ends getting approved.
-
Not to mention the fact that Star Wars sales haven't really grown a lot with LEGO either, especially with flops such as the Solo sets.

I am pretty hyped to see where this goes. I am curious what those Avatar Pods are... like another generic 10$ gimmick or something completely new? And the Gamers Market and Temple of Madness sound like pretty interesting sets. As for the Legacy 2 sets, I wasn't really a fan of the first Legacy wave (except for the Monastery, I love that one) so I am not very excited about it. Also, I don't see any point in it since the 100th Ninjago episode already passed.

Big fan of Lego ninjago movie
Lego David replied to Mrlikeslegothings's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I mean, while I don't consider it a bad movie, it was a huge waste of potential. Ninjago deserved something better than that. -
LEGO Ideas Discussion
Lego David replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
So yeah, the opportunity for people to revive their favorite themes is right in front of them, yet they don't even take notice. -
How do those families get chosen? Or how do you get to be part of the survey? I am curious.
-
Just because they stop production of Star Wars for a little bit doesn't mean they will turn their backs on Disney. After all, even if such a break did happen, they would probably still release other Disney products that aren't Star Wars.

Castle - Fantasy Era (2007-2009)
Lego David replied to Captain Fortune's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is easily my favorite Castle subtheme ever. It's just straight up amazing. I also recently rediscovered it, and I was completely blown away by it. I want all the sets from it. The Troll Warship and Troll Mountain Fortress are probably my favorite sets from the line. But sadly, they are quite expensive on the after market.
