  1. So far have only owned one of each except Market Street. Cafe Corner and Green Grocer were Bricklinked and the rest bought through Lego. Today I order a 2nd copy of the Pet Shop. Mainly to mirror build the Brownstone half. This mirrored half (16stud) along with modified Haunted Mansion into a Victorian Style Antique Shop (16stud) will fill the void of not having Market Street.
  2. So here we are at the end of September and still no idea what the next modular will be. Maybe it should be a Psychic Readers House. Hopefully they could conjure up a good rumor for us!
  3. Wonderful idea and great execution!
  4. I've stated before that I want a corner bank as the next modular. I do like the idea of a garage/mechanic shop more than the debunked Arcade modular rumor. Yeah right I know! Whats the deal with windows in a movie theatre? I never thought to MOD it without windows until now. Anybody done that yet?
  5. That Ned Stark comment was priceless. This is got to be the best review I've read on this Forum!
  6. Nice to see someone else did the build without using the stickers. I am tempted to use the ones that explain the various functions though. I just generally prefer the clean look of not using any stickers at all!
  7. Very valid points. In keeping with that line of thought why not give another designer a go at the Modulars? In many cities most buildings are done by a number of different Architects/Firms. We have at the moment 10 Modulars with what 7 by Jamie, 2 by Astrid and one fan?! Variety is the spice of life they say. At this point just really curios as to what the next Modular is and love all the speculation on this topic! Missed reading this post earlier but right on about using different designers!
  8. Mine hopefully arrives tomorrow! Only other Technic I own is the 4x4 crawler. I mainly collect Modulars and USC Star Wars but had such fun building the Crawler had to get this one!
  9. Deli? Really? It seems we have a lot of food related modulars if this rumor is true. A Cafe, Grocery and Restaurant is not enough for our modular street?! I would rather the Arcade/Amusement Hall rumor be correct. Our street seems to be lacking basics: School, Library, Bank, Hospital and Police etc.... However we do have a Pet Store, Cinema and Detective Office!! Whatever it is I will of course buy it! I still hope for a corner Bank!
  10. Thank You! IMG_9871 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr More pictures in the Big Bang General Discussion thread on Lego Licensed Forum.
  11. I'm more interested in a nice exterior design. Once my modulars are built they go on display and very rarely do I open them up to see the interiors. I do enjoy building the interiors as they are clever and have interesting techniques to there construction. However at the end of the day I much prefer the design of the building to any "play" features or "stories" told. All that being said I still would like a corner Bank. Also want a Police Station as I do not collect City sets and lets be honest the City Police Stations sets would look out of place on a street full of Modulars on display. Now some people have combine city and modulars sets into some nice towns and thats great! I only meant in regards to people like me who only collect and have the Modulars on display. On a last side note, I did incorporate the Big Bang Theory Ideas set as an interior to the Cafe Corner so I might open that one more often than the others!
  12. Moved the gang from Apartment 4A at 2311 Los Robles Avenue to the 2nd floor of Cafe Corner: IMG_9860 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr IMG_9862 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr IMG_9864 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr IMG_9866 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr IMG_9868 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr IMG_9871 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr
  13. Finally added an interior to the 2nd floor of my Bricklinked Cafe Corner: IMG_9866 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr IMG_9864 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr IMG_9862 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr Now with some mini figures: IMG_9868 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr IMG_9871 by Lego Conductor, on Flickr Just a coincidence that I got the Big Bang Theory set today! 14. I would buy your Florist Greenhouse Modular Herky!
  15. The next modular is going to have Power Functions!
  16. Arcade / Amusement Hall as a corner bldg would be a cool idea! Still holding out hope for a Police Station or Bank.
  17. June 5th 2014 was the date for the first mention of the Detective Office in this topic. So hopefully we will get our first idea of the next modular soon.
  18. This is simply stunning. Tip of the hat to you snaillad!
  19. As far as the pattern is concern I do believe the DO broke it. For sake of point Im excluding the MS. CC - Corner Business GG - Commercial Residential FB - Civic GE - Corner Business PS - Commercial Residential TH - Civic PC - Corner Business PR - Commercial Residential DO - Commercial. So the pattern should have been a Civic modular for the DO which is as we know is a commercial type instead. I do hope this is a "one off" type situation and we get a corner business modular next! Im still hoping for a Bank or a Police Station!
  20. I have my Modulars displayed across the top of bookcases. The main bulk of them sit atop 3 bookcases. Due to the style of bookcase had to elevate them and created a mini Lego wall to hide the support board: Display 1 by legoconductor, on Flickr The remaining ones sit atop a fourth bookcase of a different style (sorry about the dust): Display 2 by legoconductor, on Flickr
  21. A School, Library or Hospital would all be great and needed additions to the Modular Line. I'm still hoping it will be a corner Police Station.
  22. I believe you can get the base for the turntable cheaper if you go for the old light gray instead of newer light bluish gray. Shouldn't be to noticeable.
  23. Sammael, I order the black door frames from the BnP section of the Lego website. As of this post they are still available for purchase. To be honest I'm not even sure what the difference is between types 1 & 2.
  24. Just about finished with the Cafe Corner. Did some slight mods from the original: First I changed the tables out front Tables by legoconductor, on Flickr I also switched to the 2x3 windows and doubled them up. The window panes & lattice are set in the middle to give some depth Windows by legoconductor, on Flickr Also moved the roof railings to the edge Roof Railing by legoconductor, on Flickr Lastly still missed ordering a few pieces for the awnings Awnings by legoconductor, on Flickr Very happy to have done this project. I now feel like I own all the Modulars. I don't have Market Street and I don't feel I need it to complete my collection. Last order for the final pieces was shipped yesterday so it will be a 100% done soon. This is the second Modular I've Bricklinked and its cheaper than buying a set of eBay (for the most part). Also a lot more fun!
