  1. Great job! I love your Jester character--he's so unique; I don't think there's anyone else like him in all of Historica!
  2. While I didn't get an invite to a store, (Because when a store finally opens in my area, a few months later I end up moving, so yeah) anyways, I'm a VIP so I got the "online" invite. Triple VIP points is nice, but I don't think I'll end up buying anything, since the only sets I really want right now are the new Hobbit ones, which of course are not being released by Lego till December 1st...convinient. Just seems kind of meh when there's no actual deals other than, "hey come back later and spend 5 dollars less".
  3. That is just... Why...why...why.
  4. Awww...it's just meh. I hoped it would be the best set, since it is the most "original" out of this wave. The Roller is nice, though I think it could just a bit more color, just a bit. New print Joker is cool, and cool enough I don't mind getting another Joker; his henchman is nice too, though limited in use-ability. I love Batgirl's new purple cape, but I'm not a fan of the 52 designs on her or anyone (Though with the new mold I bet we'll get a classic version eventually). Black Batman is ok; and I figure they are using him so much since that is his apperance in the Lego Movie, and so they want some cross-overs on the shelf. I'm not a fan of Damian at all however. Short legs; bad character. I like the return of yellow capes (Granted they're short), but...man, I don't need more Robins. I'm sad we didn't get a new villain for this set...come on Lego give us what we want...Killer Moth. The Bat-plane is...strange...to say the least. It's ugly , no doubt, but it's turn wings ability is terrible. Really...really that's a good idea Batman? Let's swing the wings together to catch the bad guy, then fall from the sky because we don't have wings anymore.
  5. I personally don't see the love for a Captain America helmet in the fashion of Flash. I think it would look too giant/bulbus like it does on the new Flash anyways. Really, I think I'd be happy if they just fixed the face printing problem on him (And I suppose if he was regular blue like his classic apperance in the game; just for a change). On the subject of Thor, I am sad that they didn't make any sets, even a small one, since the minifigures would have been amazing. The Dark elves would have looked spectacular, and would have fit well with other themes (Like LotR/Castle). Oh well; I think I just need to get use to the fact that it seems Lego does not know what to do with their Superheroes line.
  6. Well if they sell one fake figure for 150-200+ then I think it's very possible there could be fakes. The instant loss would easily be made up for. --- You should however be able to tell if it's a fake figure or not by simply touching it. You should be able to tell the difference between an offical Lego product by the way it's printed, ergo it will be completley flat and feel completely smooth on the figure (Best way to check is to slide your finger across the torso). On a custom figure however, you will feel slight bumps and slight "height" changes on the print, caused by a print being placed on the torso. Even the best pad printeres out there, such as Christo (Who I have bought various figures from), cannot seem to make perfectly "flat" prints.
  7. Here's my Entry: Merry Christmas Gotham! Inspired by Batman the Animated Series. Enjoy ~Nemo
  8. I'd love to play and fill in an available spot! Tis my dream to host a game at some point, and so the more experience the better (And Poseidon knows I could use more experience!). 1) Aperture Academy, Silver City Mafia, CMF Mafia, Mafia After Dark, Minimal Mafia 2) Yes I have the time, with more time available closer to December. 3) I would have to say Heimdallr. I seem to often get the watcher ability, and that seems to fit well with the watcher of the norse gods. Granted I however am generally not as successful as Heimdallr would be in seeing danger.
  9. While I've only gotten a few small Friends sets, and I'm more likely to be found in the Superheroes section of the Lego toy isle, I'm loving these sets! They just look so fantastical and best of all colorful. I have to say that I may be seriously considering getting that castle. It just looks so nice and unique from anything we've seen before. And then I do have to say that I'd want it just to expand it into a larger more defensive castle to contrast with my Helms Deep! That contrast part won't be hard! All it needs is a front door, maybe some taller walls, and troops, and I got myself a super cute Highgarden! (Is it bad that the first thing I think of when seeing this castle is how those inside would fend off an Orc attack?) I also love the Rapunzel tower. The purple top looks great, and the whole thing actually looks very impressive and soild, not like those wimpy new age Castle towers we normally see. Ooo it's going to be hard to distribute funds for all the sets I want next year!
  10. Love that Juniors set, and I think that's the one I'd be the most happy with--which is sad actually. I don't care too much for that new Robin in the Juniors set though, his face is just weird; just like Nightwing, their expressions seem to be forced, like they're at gun point or something! Most likely I'll end up getting all the sets though, if only for the characters. Sigh.
  11. Wow...just wow...loved the new Thor movie. It was a bit fast paced as mentioned above, and I felt it could use a bit more establishing shots in the beginning, however it really picked up and became amazing as it went along. I'll save the rest for the spoiler tags, but remember Agents of Shield fans, the next episode is said to deal with the aftermath of the new Thor movie! Oh and now I really wish we had Lego sets of this film--at least for the dark elves! Anywho, spoiler tags etc.
  12. That was spectacular. I cannot wait until that film comes out--and it dare say that may be the film I'm the most excited for! Wonder Woman's invisible jet was pure genius!
  13. Awww. Man-Bat turned out kind of...meh. I don't know, he just doesn't seem cool at all considering he's basically the same as the Monster Fighters bats. While I like wings being attached to arms, and thus being more realistic, I do feel now that he would look better with the bat glider piece in brown. Oh well, it's a nice set eitherway.
  14. Ooo! Yes, thanks for the drawings. They are very helpful in showing what's been said. I'm actually more excited by those two then the ones we've already seen. Are these two sets suppose to be released at the same time as the others--anyone? Anyone?
  15. Wrong! I was Frank. I don't think I'd have the patience to keep up a German accent like that for so many days! It was a fun game Hinck. That was the first time I was in an anonymous mafia game, and I think it was nice for the most part, though it did add a whole level of mystery to the thing, though I did feel a bit detached from the game because of it actually. And I didn't really spend my time trying to find out who was who, but it was still nice. I had a feeling I was going to be killed night two, I just knew it. I was a two-shot watcher, but after a clarification from Hinck I decided not to watch anyone night one, to save the ability so I could watch someone more likely to be scum/or attacked the next night. On night two I watched Jo, thinking she may be killed to incriminate Tony? (Can't remember) more. But I was killed. Still, it was fun, and I loved the simplistic and dare I say minimal, images used!
  16. Seeing the new pictures, I love the Junior Batman set! It's so perfect, and the colors really stand out as almost 60's TV Batman. Totally going to be buying that one! And did anyone else notice what seems to be a short yellow cape on that Robin?! In fact we seem to be getting a few yellow capes this wave, which is great since the last time we got some was what, like 2007 or something? Not too much of a fan of the character distrabution though. The DC line is way too heavy on the Batmen and Robins, and I feel the Steamroller set is screaming for another named villain rather then a henchman or Damian Wayne (Who I think is far down on the listed of "wanted" characters by most people). On the flipside for the most part, I feel the Marvel distrabution is great, aside from the Spidermen of course. Two new villains, an updated Ock, new hero and MJ, as well as a few cool vehicles. Personally, I love the Ock truck--I love the scale and look of the majority of the Heroes vehicles actually. Electro's "hover-whatever" looks dumb, but it'll be nice to have so much lighting parts, though I hope they'd come in trans yellow rather then blue. However, I will say in closing that all the Spiderman vehicles are ridiculous and just terrible.
  17. Lord Falco and the Black Falcons join the Black Spire! Down with Nocturnus!
  18. That's Shocker; whose similar to Electro. And that is a good way to get your Spiderman knowledge (However I think the Spectacular Spiderman show was far better!). Anywho, I'm happy we are getting Electro in a small set, and that it's his crazy classic look. Yeah it's weird, but I think we'll get a movie version too, since they included him in the game. (And I assume Electro will look like his apperence in the game as well). Not excited whatsoever about the other Spiderman sets though. I have to desire to own a Ultimate Green Goblin at all, even if he's a giant figure (Heck we have Hulk already, we don't need a giant green Hulk knockoff!) My buying of the Dr. Octopus set will most likely hindge on how he looks; though I can say now if he looks anything like the last one I won't even touch the box with a ten foot tenticle. I'm also disapointed that Batgirl comes in the Steam Roller set. I was hoped either she or Nightwing went in the Man-Bat set, which would leave room for another new villain in the larger set. But oh stupid me for dreaming of something logical, fan appeasing, and money making--what was I thinking!
  19. There's suppose to be eight more characters based off of Thor: Dark World, which come from a DLC. Though that does leave one left over, which is most likely some kind special character in game (Like when you get 100% or something). Anyways, it's nice to see all of the characters, though it does also show how many characters still should be made. This Superhero line is going to either have to make some extreme changes or last for a really long time if we hope to get the majority of them.
  20. No. That White Tiger is just a custom by Green Pea Toys. It's actually not hard to find customs of many characters online, though finding quality customs is not as easy.
  21. I love the Penguin set! It's looks as spectacular as the description of it we got a few weeks ago, and I'm happy with all the parts included. Two Penguins is great (And I could see my self buying multiples of it just for them!) and I love the bird-mobile. Suba Batman is nice, although I do hope the Penguin has a slightly different design than his Arkham version (Though that may be asking too much--it is a 13 dollar set anyways!). This may be my new favorite set--and it more than makes up for the lack luster $13 sets we've already gotten...I mean golf cart of doom cannot compare to this at all!
  22. I'm sure Batman's popularity won't wind down anytime soon (At least character wise, Lego wise that's starting to happen, though I'm sure most kids are fine with it). I don't think Lego will shift their focus until they realize that the other 99% of DC characters are also popular, which going at the rate of current JLA members made may be a few decades . Anyways, I'm a bit surprised at the prices--I figured the Riddler chase would be the $20 one, though I'm fine with that shifiting to the Man-Bat set. So far, Lego seems to rock at making $20 sets lately (If only they could put more into the other ones too!).
  23. I’m not sure where all the hype for a Wayne Manor comes from—I can’t find any reason why it should be made at all. Really, the most interesting thing about Wayne Manor is that the Batcave is under it. There would be very limited play features unlike Arkham, as well as a cast of characters who would mostly be re-runs aside from Alfred. Even including some new villains (Or more likely old ones) to create a story would be strange since there's nothing going on at the Manor, all the action is beneath it; hence Lego has little to no incentive to create the building, especially when their current Batcave could not support the manor above it (ala Jabba’s Palace/Rancor Pit). There are far better sets that could, and should, be made before Wayne Manor (Which I don't think we'll ever get, nor personally really need actually).
  24. Finally some more Flash pictures...though I'm still disappointed. I like the second sided happy face, since I like my Flash more Wally then Barry, so happy jokey is good. However I still hate the helmet design and the lack of yellow booties. I wish the helmet would cover the entire head rather then just his top, since it makes his forehead seem giant or something. And I do have to say that I think the lack of boots is unacceptable for Flash--that's like leaving off the "S" on Superman. Nightwing wise, I'm also not a fan. I did expect to see the black sleepy-head-hair to be used, which I do like, however I don't think it goes well with the face print. I don't mind the eyes so much, but I think both mouths look off. And I agree with what LOTR343 said earlier, his smile face does look like Nightwing walked in on a womans dressing room! Overall he's just kind of "meh" for me; I'm not a fan at all of 52 so that doesn't help either. I do like the new Joker though, and I think Batgirl is ok (Depending on her cape!)--hopefully we'll see Man-Bat and Penguin soon, and hopefully there'll be some new villains in the Steamroller set.
  25. Superman vs. Flash Who’s the fastest? The Man of Steel or the Scarlet Speedster?! Will Lois ever be able to fix her hair after this?! Well it’s time to find out! Ready...set...go! Featuring Custom Flash minifigure by Christo. Enjoy! ~Nemo
