That is probably the most amazing tree design I have seen so far. It's ages away from every snot tree, I maybe like it a bit more than Derfel's chain trees. What an amazing start into the game, and that's just with a character laying around! Splendid!

Too late harhar! He already joined the dark side! -
Oh come on

I said probably, not definitely. And when First Order is the heir of the Empire it's unlikely that there will be non human soldiers.

That is a nicely built waterfall! Also nice idea with replacing the flags. That will show those bloody marauders. Looking forward to join the fight against these damn usurpers.

The Algus Saga: A long forgotten enemy

Wow! Amazing texture! And great use of that baseplate. I'm no fan of them, but it works well here. -
But a fun fact maybe not everyone realized

Glad to see you back! I'm very excited about the resistance story. Hope to read the next part soon. I really like the swamp vegetation. The small trees are wonderful and the giant fungus leaves no doubt where the scene takes place.

They actually have in the action figures subforum. And there are other ways to say that you don't like them. E.g. "I don't like 'em" instead of "meh, crap!".

Interesting. I guess there's a good chance to get a Kylo Ren ultra build fig, too. Not that I would by them, but...maybe one or two. At the most. The helmet is wonderfully rendered.

The Exetrius saga: Onicius prologue (part 1 )
Jacob Nion replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
Oh, you already started building- that's great! You've done a good job on that house. I especially like the well, and the way it is embedded in the corner in the shadow of the palm free just looks so natural and realistic, one can really imagine the village. What I don't like is the cliffhanger- I want immediately to read further Looking forward to see many more chapters!- 15 replies

We had that several times during this challenge and nobody did complain. Probably tacit agreement. I guess it's regrettable for cat c, where you had to finish several entries per week and this over two months. Of course that doesn't influence the other, conventional categories where you have months for finishing and taking photos.

Wow. The battle's so hard, figs are thrown out of the moc Really like that cthulhu like worm. Looks like you caught it in the meanest and deadliest corner of the Moruth.

[WZ10:F9, Desert King] The Final Battle
Jacob Nion replied to Jacob Nion's topic in Guilds of Historica
wow, thanks everyone so much for your comments. I'm just glad it's the last entry for cat. c. this pressure of finishing several builds every week over two months was getting nasty. Thanks very much, I'm happy I could finally throw in nearly all of my troops. The fact that the two parties are just about to meet in this scene wasn't planned, it came out that way because I placed the first figs as soon as I had done some ground. And at the end, there was no place to show some fighting soldiers. And again you're right! You mentioned that in an earlier build and I really took it to heart in most of my larger stuff since then. But on this last one I just got lazy. Bad habit :/ My smoke is built sturdy You're right on the transition from grey to tan. I didn't plan the floor, so when I ran out of grey tiles I had to use the dk tan ones, and therefore make some kind of frame to cover the gaps between. Not my favourite solution, but I hoped tons of minifigs would side track you Danke you but don't say that, none of us could bear the whole war by himself. It's just an amazing team effort we'v done. It's like everyone had his time to shine somewhere in the challenge and did exactly the right thing at the right moment. -
Neat start, Puvel. The edge of the patch looks a bit sharp. Maybe a fence would work to give it a frame. And I don't know about the bark tan leaves on the rock. A plant should always have some kind of trunk, or at least roots that go to the ground. But good to have you in Historica!

Highly amusing story! I really laughed about the prize scene. You've done some pretty nice effects by using creative techniques. I especially love the blue and yellow wall using snot bricks. I will definitely remember this. I'm sure that goes well with Nocturnus red and gold. And I like the carpets a lot. Funny that I never realised the smiling soldier in all your cat c builds. Really, I love your more humorous and bright style a lot. Totally different from the hard and dark Game Of Thrones style I'm used to in my stories and builds. I understand now why burning an assassin in your counter against marcu was too brutal for your taste.

This is a great counter. So much to see in micro scale, you've done a really creative job. I definitely love the dragon the most, especially with the fire and air effect. But the arrangement of the 1x1 round studs is the most amazing feature. Looks like a lot of work.

The Final Battle

Petraea. The great and beautiful capitol of Ulandus at last. After months of blood, tears and sacrifice the last battle was about to end. The Pharao's forces poured in the streets, battling the city watch whereever they tried to assemble. Osric had no specific target, no mayor location to conquer. His troops wandered around, street after street, an urban jungle made out of stone and loam. The High Council's armies had already been broken weeks ago. The last defenders were only small contingents, and were also reduced by desertion. ____________________________________________ Note: I built this in one day, only posible with some

Strenghtened by the banishment of the first centurion, the desert king created a tremendous victory column on the shore of Ulandus. It was made out of obsidian, and on the top laid the titan's skull, that was captured in Xersia.

Normally east asian architecture fits in the east of Kaliphlin. But it's not really cold there. Hmmm... I guess.. that Nocturnus guild could be what you're looking for. Dark mages are an essential part of our people. And our big advantage is that we have no restrictions what architecture to use. It can be influenced by other guilds, in this case eastern Kaliphlin, or something completely unique. We're very flexible and liberal. And your cold or mild climate could be found at the border to Mitgardia, up in the north of our territory. -

This has nothing to do with the guilds, these are the three faction in the Kaliphlin civil war. The High Council is the established government of Kaliphlin, therefore most Kaliphlin guildmembers support it. Ulandus is an long lost part of Kaliphlin, a mysthic island that now wants to reunite with the guild. And the desert king is simply the ancient rightful ruler of Kaliphlin that was dead and has now returned for his powers are divine. Hail Ank Mora Raa! Regardless of your guild you can join any of the three factions. It depends on your sympathies, personal politics or you can just do what seems to be the best for your guild. -
