  1. Genuinely awesome work Bob (and you know how much I don't like to use that word!) How about a LDD Nebulon B or Star Destroyer next? I'd be happy to build it for you
  2. I can't bring myself to update it (sigh!)....I'm still in denial about it all! Episode IV is currently in the planning stage, so it's going to be a couple of weeks at least.
  3. Thanks BEAVeR, and sorry about the lack of Wampa tag..... And, apologies to everyone to everyone about the scoring issues, we'll do our best to ensure that it doesn't ever happen again!
  4. Yes, I'm feeling rather dissapointed myself....especially after I spent half an hour blogging the results 'Grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory' seems kind of applicable
  5. .....It's being looked into at the moment, and a re-calculation might be needed Update to follow asap!
  6. You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it *waves hand*......"These aren't the scores you're looking for, move along"....
  7. The results have just been announced, and it's a victory for the Empire! Congratulations to all of my Imperial brothers, see we can do it

  9. Thanks for sharing this, I'm looking forward to seeing the final version
  10. That's just what I was thinking, it looks absolutely awful.....
  11. Hi BrickieB, this sounds like an interesting project and I look forward to seeing your updates. I purchased the SSD a couple of years ago and it's quite an under-rated set in my opinion, considering that it's trying to represent a ship that's 16+km long! My main issues with it are i) the 'integrated' bridge that is totally pointless, and ii) the very limited palette of parts used to complete the 'city' which makes it look unfairly cheap. I've also hidden the double-post for you
  12. As I said earlier on flickr it’s an amazing design, excellent work!
  13. It would be helpful if you took a little bit more time to compose your posts, this really doesn't make any sense Anyway, it's great news that Greedo will be included in Mos Eisley. Hopefully the new version won't be too different from the old one, which I've always liked but refused to pay a ridiculous price for!
  14. Right then, I think that it's safe to say that Episode III is now officially closed! Thanks to everyone to who took part; I've been really impressed by the quality of the designs. We should be able to complete the judging within the next couple of weeks, and we'll announce the results as soon as possible
  15. That sounds rather painful...... Anyway, great work everyone, I think that we should have a fighting chance!!
  16. Another great build MstrOfPppts, it's looking very promising for the Empire! Lots of nice details, and it's good to see that someone picked up on my suggestion to have a snowball fight I know that you appreciate constructive criticism so, to be honest, it all looks good apart from the 'escape pod' elements that you've included in the main hangar. They just look a bit out of place somehow; maybe a couple of sections of exposed ice/rock would have been a better choice? Your welcome, it was a very sensible suggestion
  17. Another top notch entry Ninja Nin, well done! It's packed with some great details, and is beautifully presented as usual. I especially like the scene with the Commander; was it influenced by Stardust by any chance?
  18. Here's the photo that Saint refers to in his post:
  19. And, following my earlier post Cheers, Robin
  20. Well done LegoFjotten, another build up to your typically high standards The control room is particularly well executed; somehow you've managed to make it look suitably messy within a very neat overall design! I'm also impressed by how you've integrated each of the smaller sections together, it works very well. Good luck in the contest
  21. You're welcome, and I'm glad that you enjoyed the challenge!
  22. Definite improvement, the glow from the heater is especially good
  23. A great entry LucasLaughing, well done! I particularly like the details of the control room, it's very close to the original film set and the dark blue helps to break up all of the white. The song is ingenious and really adds to it, good luck with the contest
  24. Hi Kaitan, are you using a DSLR or similar? If so, I'd recommend lowering the ISO setting and then increasing the exposure legnth to compensate, which should improve the image quality. Also use a tripod and/or the in-built timer as this will help minimise any movement or blurring. I'd also try experimenting with a few trans-blue elements infront of the LEDs, as they can sometimes create a better overall colour. It's a very nice entry; the 'story' works well and I particularly like the movie-accurate trapped K-3PO! I'm not too sure about the volume of Tauntaun blood though....it's cold on Hoth
