  1. I've also experienced that steering problem; all I can suggest is you ensure that the wheels are snugly pushed onto the axles and that everything involved in steering is secure
  2. Right here https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/buildinginstructions/search#?search&text=42082%20Rough%20Terrain%20Crane%20Technic So far as I know the instructions are published online about simultaneously with release.
  3. He could use half of them to build a bin to store the other half in.
  4. I think that's my favorite small recent set. It comes with a good number of gears, links, and panels and packs some fun simple functions into a tight space. I'd recommend it. I'd also second the 42048 Go Kart. I think those are great cheap entry points that both include interesting specialized parts.
  5. A Don Quixote Creator set would be very appealing.
  6. Those pieces held up surprisingly well for holding up 500 lbs. Very interesting and well presented video, thank you.
  7. I figure it'd be easy enough for an impact from the saw piece to separate a stack of 2x2 round bricks without a central axle to brace them. Maybe have each log built from a few sections of bricks with 4l axles holding them together so each tree wouldn't burst into a dozen pieces upon being "sawed".
  8. The tires on the Liebherr crane linked up the page seem to fit the Unimog tires used in the model well enough (different tread, but they're not deep tractor tires).
  9. You can post larger images by uploading them to an image hosting service and then embedding them here, rather than using the attachment function; Flickr and Brickshelf are usually recommended. There's information in the FAQ thread in the Forum Information and Help forum if you need assistance.
  10. I also have a number of them from a Creator set released last year (Park Street Townhouse) that used them for details on the facade. It's always fun to see odd parts show up in very different contexts like this.
  11. Everyone's real down on the colors on this model, but the only really egregious thing to me is the use of red bushings in prominent places on the side (mostly on the wheels). Everything else is just the normal color-coding, which I usually kinda filter out...
  12. That's really wonderful; the chain decoupling was a big surprise; I didn't spot the tell-tale receiver at the top of the container at first. It's funny that the only thing it can really carry is its own decoupling mechanism!
  13. Something that would be neat to see in future Deluxe Super Cars would be a removal hand-of-god knob. I don't imagine it would be that terribly hard to find an inconspicuous spot on the roof/rear end to have a hole providing access to the steering setup that you could slot a removable axle + gear into; that way, you can please both people who only care about displaying the thing and people who want to play with the functions more easily. Watching sariel try to stick his hands inside the car to access the wheel in his video is painful.
  14. Is this actually directly based on an existing prototype autonomous loader? Just from a quick google search, all I can find are pictures of this model or else very different looking real-life loaders (which look more like normal loaders than this futuristic scorpion vehicle).
  15. Hi all, I'm a LEGO fan in my 20's who's been reading and appreciating this forum for a while now; I figured I might as well make an account in case I ever wanted to pipe up about something. I'm a fan of Technic and the "Advanced Models", and also have a weakness for Nexo Knights (RIP), and have been thinking of getting together the pieces for a custom pirate ship sometime. Anyhow, looking forward to posting here, Conceitedguy
