  1. Yes that is the way it seems, to me as well and was the point I was trying to get across before being called a redneck with simplistic views but it was okay because no offence was intended.
  2. Both of those look good, I really liked that set, actually feel like getting a second one. I made a pretty decent open wheel racer as a D model. Anyway yours look good enough to be official models, congratulations.
  3. Thanks for the dressing down @Mylenium I needed that.
  4. Not sure if you realize this @ks6349 but there are many other categories and sub-forums other than just General LEGO discussion that many of your questions may be more suited to, and many have been already been discussed at length providing you with some valuable insight possibly. Check them out if you haven't already done so. Sounds like you have many questions and are in store for much fun, brick on. For example this question would probably get more responses in the LEGO Town sub-forum.
  5. In all fairness, this sounds more like a pricing issue within whatever country you happen to be in. More to do with the government not LEGO. Here in the US that set is $19.99, which anyone that regularly buys lego knows, is a joke. By simply waiting a couple weeks it will be on sale, or shop around, or price match, it will be $15.99. Which is the price I got it for, a little more reasonable for sure than your example of $34.
  6. I know this thread is about the car and it does look good, especially with the addition of non-LEGO stickers. I really do like that steam shovel though and I think I have most of those parts laying around so I may give it a whirl, really like the random brown and tan bricks used to simulate rust.
  7. This is how I sort my pieces as well. I have found it is much quicker and easier to spot color differences than minor shape differences. I will say though once I get an overwhelming amount of a particular color I may separate them from the pile.
  8. Yeah it's all just a sham so the attorneys can buy luxury yachts.
  9. I generally just use dish washing detergent, not the kind you put in a dishwasher but any kind should work as long as it's safe for your skin you should be okay.
  10. Score, been holding off since it first came out, got the 70615 Fire Mech $46.99 at Target, pretty good deal for 944 pcs. Sometimes it pays to be patient. That sounds like a great idea, hope to see it soon.
  11. I do get what you are saying but just because you only found one dead bat doesn't mean more were not killed. Now that is what I'm talking about.
  12. Not sure but I am MateGracefulAvocado
  13. I don't know that it is one of the new cars, I just think it could be. The stickers make me believe it isn't a moc and there really is no description either, just a picture. Are these sets to be released at the end of January? Edit: To me it looks like an older style corvette like a stingray maybe. Edit again Argh Nevermind, false alarm, sorry for any inconvenience I caused, not what it appeared to be.
  14. Is one of the cars red with a front engine V8. The one I saw had stickers for the doors and engine also various air scoops, it sure looked like an official LEGO car. Maybe a corvette.
  15. That is good to know, I would have thought the weight would actually exaggerate the jerkiness.
  16. Yes of course, for obvious safety reasons. I of course would attempt to modify for maximum danger.
  17. For some unexplainable reason, I find myself drawn to this set. I really have no room or need for it yet I really want to get it. One thing I would like to know though, does it actually move air, creating a breeze, would be cool to use as a low volume fan.
  18. Good idea, the pneumatic cylinder in theory, though in real life applications I find it to be notoriously inaccurate. For me it seems to take excessive pressure to get it moving, then it moves to fast and slows down, causing jerky movements at best, not very accurate. I do agree a tripod is a must have when doing quality photography though.
  19. Strange I have 5 such boxes and they work very well for me, granted I generally put multiples of the same part in a single compartment though.
  20. Yes I am aware of this being done on race cars, especially oval track racers, you pretty much drive straight ahead to turn left. The thing is I see it on street cars that can hardly drive out of the parking lot, much less actually race, that's the part I don't get. I guess I'm just to old to understand, to me it just looks stupid.
  21. My buddy got this yesterday, I am trying to get him to hurry up and build it so I can check it out. I was actually surprised by how big it is, pleasantly.
  22. So simple yet effective. I know when I built it, I liked that it locked when the roof was on, now not so sure. Think I will try it for a while and see what I think, thanks for a good idea.
  23. Great subject matter, well executed. I'll bet the real one was a mechanical nightmare that spent more time in the garage than on the road.
  24. Good grief, that's a lot of motors! I bet you did swear more than once, simply fascinating. Just wondering how did you waterproof all those electronics? Yeah I know it doesn't really go in the water, regardless pretty damn cool creation.
  25. So just saw all the sets, I know late to the party again. Anyway I am probably the only person on the planet who has never heard of Overwatch nor seen any characters or in game scenes. Having said that, if I didn't know it was Overwatch I would have thought all these sets were some new Ninjago stuff. Am I the only one who sees it like that?
