  1. Very nice tower!!!! It keeps your "clean" style (which I appreciate a lot) and has all the needed details inside. Plus, it's really usable everywhere. 😊 Downstairs I'd put an open chest with some tools sticking out, some wooden planks near the stairs and some wood to be burned in the upstairs stove. And a bike. 😁
  2. Very nice subject and realization! You must be proud of it because it's really, really well done... 😍😍😍 ...and front page is fully deserved!!! Ciao! Davide
  3. It's a nice idea... For that price I would have included a black stand with some kind of small golden plate describing it's a Brussels' tram - and it's sponsorized by the public transports company. Something a bit more...refined that could work also as a shelf queen 😍😀
  4. Thanks sir! Your small and standard scale are indeed getting very good too! 😍
  5. Very nice shunter!!! The enhanced version in my opinion looks better and easily could be an interesting "B" model of the Metroliner 😍
  6. Well..there are literally TONS of ideas, both for trains and buildings. Details everywhere!!! All these pictures, with some details on the most interesting models can easily become a "7777"-ish book!!! That "nez cassè" locomotive is beautiful, plus there are lots of wagons, long ones, short ones - passenger and freight... Two things I particularly like are the gray shutters used horizontally on the yellow wagon and that shunter at Sernam station! SPECTACULAR!!!
  7. Thanks Emanuele for your kind words!!! Very appreciated as usual!!
  8. Maybe some solution with long brackets to cover the wheel...I've the same problem when working in H0, the more you add, the more it protrudes out of body In the meantime....Great Talgo
  9. Nice 3D modelling and printing...it will look fantastic!
  10. Woooow! A small locomotive with such a complete mechanism...I watched the video several times, since it clearly shows all the parts and their movement! Really interesting! The use of a differential for actuating the reverser is a fantastic idea! Ciao! Davide
  11. Great great job, you succeded in rendering the grille, the rear lights, the overall proportions...and lot of details. Well deserved front page!!!
  12. A perfect shelf queen! Great job!!! 😍
  13. Spectacular vehicles, both immediately recognizable and full of details! Great job, really! 😍😍😍 Ciao! Davide
  14. Thank you, very appreciated! People is still an experiment, since I am absolutely re-using the Miniland/Legoland style, but in 1:22.5 instead of 1:20. I'm not doing so much, apart making them shorter Thanks!!! Confirmed, the railcar is a smaller than Legoland/Miniland , and I feel people is still a bit too big in comparison. They need a diet of some kind Thank you!!! Currently I have some real G scale rolling stock from LGB/NEWQIDA (and a full Lego train) running on a removable plastic track that I usually lay down in the garden. I make some changes every time, but it's always a point-to point railway, with one reversing loop on one side and a "Y" junction to reverse locomotives. It's pretty large, so I normally reverse the whole trains.
  15. Hi all, after a bit of inactivity I found something simple but interesting. Again, it's a model of a small railcar, produced by Japanese Tomytech and identified with JI3 code. It is part of a full collection of narrow gauge railway vehicles , working on the so-called "Nekoya Line". I really did not succeed to understand if this Line is a real railway or a fantasy one, but I really like the idea and its toyish look. What I can understand is that the JI3 represents a 762mm gauge vehicle. Therefore, I started to design it recycling the chassis design of my old yellow locomotive , running on G gauge track (and adapting it a bit). A new, flatter motor was designed in order to save space and allow for some simple interior details. It is only 2wd, since coupling rods are not fitted. Final gear ratio can be customized, depending on the track conditions and steepness. One or two rubber bands on traction wheels could avoid wheel slipping. Medium motor could be used, but only on flat railways. L motor is stronger, and surely more suitable to a less flat terrain I sincerely did not even make the effort to fit the XL motor, since it is a small vehicle and it won't pull heavy loads. Here I used the Powered Up version, but the motor unit can be adapted to use Power Functions motors too. Chassis is pretty flat and simple, I added fake suspensions and two reservoirs to have some details and refine the design a bit. And here it is , in a pretty different color schema and pulling its small wagon. In this case I did not use the usual Marklin G scale chassis for wagons, so the little trailer features normal axles with black Lego XL wheels. As you can see it's SIMILAR to the Tomitech model, but different in many details, such as doors, radiator grille, roof, ladders...and so on. It seems a small pig to me! Coupling is made by a fixed bar between railcar and wagon. I use to build an "Y" junction to reverse trains, so detaching the wagon won't be a real need. A "standard" (for my railway ) coupling allows to attach a normal G scale wagon to the small trailer, but it's better not to overload the whole vehicle to save the small AAA batteries. The single headlight in the front and the single tail light allow to use only one PuP or PF set of lights on the railcar. However, under the roof, a small battery can take place in order to activate leds on headlight and tail light ...and to illuminate the whole interior for a "by night" or "bad weather" experience! As you can see...this time there are some passengers, which are a bit smaller than Miniland ones, but more or less built in the same way. One specific difference from the Tomytech model is the fact that the railcar has only one door on one side, due to the presence of the battery, Therefore also the ladder is asymmetric. The wagon has one door per side, as the prototype. Doors are something I wanted to try from some time. These doors are folding ones, simple to build and giving some life to the railcar. And I'd say that's all for this time!!! Ciao! Davide
  16. I received this one as a Christmas present...locomotive and instructions still here nowadays...but I do not have a clue about its box!!! And the older 7810 is complete with everything. It's a mistery!!! It's a pleasure to see such a clean set. Nice review - I really appreciate the effort you are putting in describing 12v world with your work! Ciao! Davide
  17. Really, really well designed and truly iconic!!! I love the way you used the 2x3 train windows in horizontal position!!! Great idea and I'd say really faithful to the prototype! Ciao! Davide
  18. Oooooooh this is a great train!!! I tried in the past to make a "Lego Friends locomotive" for my daughter too, but there were too few parts and I quit the idea moving to a more conventional color combination. Good Idea and very nice realization! Ciao! Davide
  19. Lovely locomotive, and great valve gear implementation!!! Really really nice! Ciao! Davide
  20. Thanks Emanuele!!! You're always kind! Thank you!!! It's the first time I try to make a small display (first time EVER with simulated snow) and your appreciation is really welcome!
  21. Thanks! Rubber bands are a good idea on small Lego wheels, I used also thermo-retracting rubber tube for electronic to increase traction (as in the Fiat 500 Draisina from past OcTRAINber).
  22. Thanks ! Yes, main purpose was to create a display-only small model of that snowplow, which I particularly like for personal reasons. It's true - It is a challenging scale, and has some potential , but won't be usable until mixed with custom parts or existing H0 stuff for DIY. Small Lego wheels are nice, but are not able to roll smoothly and not so usable with technic axles. H0 axles can be used together with small ball bearings, but traction is a goal I've not yet achieved... ...I'm still working on it - but my first experiment of "direct drive" on wheels was not successful.
  23. Greetings for the main page!!! Well deserved! Ciao! Davide
  24. Thanks, thanks, thanks!
  25. Very very nice locomotive - it gives the same "simplicity" feeling of the prototype! And being narrow gauge, I like it even more!!!! Ciao! Davide
