  1. The back is always ugly, so it looks fine to me, just a little too smooth. Nice to see the top floor isn't open. That would worry me. The Assembly Square had that open roof thing and it bugs me.
  2. The set is already added to S@H. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/bookshop-10270 I find the picture of all three of the last modulars lacking, they are tan, brown, orange brown and teal. Dear LEGO designers USE MORE COLORS!!!! (Sand Red!) Also the price in that review video is wrong, it's $180 not $200.
  3. Yes. But it looks like the top floors are not enclosed which is really odd to me. Also why couldn't LEGO use grey baseplates? The green 'rug' in the house is very odd.
  4. It's very nice, very European and lovely. The new color scarf is welcomed greatly. I'm glad we seem to be getting a separate house as that's always welcomed. Plus the fact they split makes me happy. However for the love of LEGO, there are like 200 colors, can they stop using these darn baby diarrhea brown colors?
  5. Today is the day!!!!!!!!!!11!!!! Oh wait... Nope. Are you people using a magic eight ball?
  6. I have insider info... It will be revealed.... Within the next 28 days.
  7. Because the detective office set was lacking details? In my mind that was the set I was picturing. The building on the left being the two story book store, the first floor of the right is an eye doctor or arcade (To tie into NinjaGo sub theme) and the next two floors are apartments, small coffee shop fits in somewhere as that would take up next to no space.
  8. I think it will be a bookstore and not a library. So my guess would be a two story bookstore on one side, coffee shop on the bottom, eye doctors and apartments above. Maybe wishful thinking. I'm fine with apartments. Or a book store next to an arcade would be fun.
  9. I agree Jamie had exactly the right style down. The first few were almost too big. Jamie got it just right. While I think the diner looks nice, it's design was weird with the staircase and almost corner building but not quiet and the garage minus garage is also nice. :) But I'm more curious to price. LEGO made a heck of a jump from $170 to $200 that was not warranted. The Parisian Restaurant at S@H was $112USD (30%) off, Walmart had it briefly at 12:30 for $105. Amazon at 3am had it for $89! I could have gotten it for $85 with cash back. Will another set be $200 or more just so in a couple years when it retires LEGO can sell it for 30-40% off, aka the price it should have been in the first place?
  10. It's not a modular at all, it doesn't connect to anything. The NinjaGo modulars are Modulars but not in the same series. I do not think the new modular will be revealed next Monday (December 2) because the sales will still be going on from the USA having a late Turkey day. However it is the day PR is supposed to be on sale so maybe that would be a good time to announce a new one...
  11. So they made Speed Whatever 8 wide long so they can continue the 6 wide long in City? Okay then... They are better than police, but that gas station is really bad. The shop set looks nice, decent building and cars.
  12. In the video posted here a few times Jaime talked about ho they have new eyes looking at it. After the Dinner and the garage I think that's some much needed eyes. To me the line is PR, DO, BB and AS.
  13. These sets are so bad that it's time for LEGO to sit back and wait until a movie comes out and then make sets ONLY based on the movie. These are beyond horrible. I feel bad for the designers because they were forced to make these sets and now we are all saying how bad they are.
  14. I like all the hospitals but if they combined that one and 7892 then I think they would have had a winner. I love the design of the windows in 7892 and the helicopter isn't bigger than the building. Plus the Friends one coming ut next year looks nice, just $10-20 overpriced... like most sets in 2020.
  15. It's why I'd just buy a bunch of the current one. It feels like LEGO is phasing out those awesome garage door panels again. I do like the police car from the police box, it's small and cute.
  16. Its a plane not a jet but I digress. I agree, I never bought that and would like it to be modernized a bit and made into a $10-13 set.
  17. I want a postal van/truck. There is no reason two have two postal planes (which I have never seen) over having a $20-30 truck or a $10 van.
  18. I'm curious, what pieces in that station do you like?
  19. Ummm... how many billions did they make last year? The last few years they have made insane amounts of profit and 3-4-5 years ago became the biggest toy company in the world. So how are video games hurting sales?
  20. I have the 2014 set, the office part is great, my favorite City PD Station is 2011. No matter what I think (or hope) that the 2020 station will be the worst in City. I like the street sweeper, the ice cream truck is a little boring to me. It's just a longer version of the Friends hot chocolate truck. So only the street sweeper and postal plane for me. So $16 spent after they go on sale. Cheap year. Now I wish I budgeted better so I could buy the NinjaGo Modulars.
  21. Yeah no idea what you are talking about. The water theme park is purple and dark pink all over. The Ocean boat is half coral aka pink. The 2020 hospital looks like a City building, the camping set looks like woods with a pink tent. These look fine. Look at the first year when the camper was all pinks, purples and lime green. The new one isn't great but has white. I think the sets have reached a nice blend of colors.
  22. The figures are better than Angry Birds because we are least get legs, a new skirt and neat torso prints. New leaf and music pieces, and HUGE balloon piece so what the hell. Worse case is we all get them for 75% off.
  23. I have no idea what you are talking about. The colors this year have been the same as years past besides the first year which were puked up rainbow birthday cake. There is the two story art building that is pale purple and dark orange. It's a weird look. These buildings look nice, would fit into any City. I rarely hear anyone complain about Friends colors. It's more that minidolls are useless (they are) and that some 'buildings' are literally just a front wall.
  24. The grey dragon looks amazing! Love it!
  25. In my home state of Massachusetts there is an island / town called Nantucket. There are three completely different post offices there. One is big modern Cape Cod looking thing no one likes. The other two are exactly what a LEGO modular would look like. The downtown one is up a huge flight of stairs and goes into something you would see on Miracle on 34th Street. It be perfect for the center of a modular. Seems the other one closed which is a shame because it dated back to probably 1830 and looked it. Would be about 15x20 studs if it was made in LEGO. I asked once why there were three post offices on a town of a year round population of 8,000 (Now 11,000), no mail carriers you need to go to the offices to get a P.O. box. Now I'm going to be disappointed if there isn't a post office.
