Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Maple replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Wrong is still wrong. Which is my point. Things change. I also don't trust anything Huw does, he's immature and bad at his job. When people correct him he has a hissy fit. He's not a reliable source. -
[MOC] Aquanauts - Listening Post
Maple replied to the Inventor's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Love it! Keeps the spirt of Aquanauts mixed with a modern touch. Great job! -
I hope you are feeling okay! I had a hell of a cough but only for two days. Maybe LEGO, rightfully, realized that the Pirate one would be wildly popular and the skeleton battlepack one wouldn't be.
-
I sadly only have one Pirates. I should have bought some more Queer Eyes sets for the parts. It's such a wonderful set. But yeah, if I wasn't trying to save money I'd get a ton too. So great. I don't have any of the Halloween ones, sold out too fast and looked 'meh' but the brickset inventory said 6 skeletons which is amazing. It's really weird you got 60 of the Pirate one and then LEGO only made enough of the Halloween one for a few days?

I agree, and to me the pirate one was better. The Halloween one was 6 skeletons, and two HP hair pieces. That's great, but the pirate one was very diverse.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
Maple replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Do they? How would you know? They have never talked about where they get there info from. They have also been wrong. Exactly. LEGO might think they have enough stock, then change their mind and do another run in the future. Other sets that might live longer get a shorter life after it turns out the numbers aren't there. Plus just being 'retired' means it's not going to get another production run. There can be 3 million of a set in a warehouse somewhere. For all we know LEGO hasn't made a match of Assembly Square in years. -

Exactly. Once again the set is only 50 Euro with taxes. It's on sale at Walmart right now and still $53 plus taxes in most places. I love the set and will not buy it until it's $45 or less. Same with the farm. Don't give evil greedy LEGO your money for nothing. -
I actually probably am. So many of you are in the LEGO cult. IT'S LEGO! You act like it's food. At some point the motor will be back in stock. It's not the end of the world. I have empathy for things that matter, LEGO is not one of those things. Grow up and learn what really is important.

Everything LEGO does is awesome. To have any differing views is not the Eurobricks way. -
And...? The set will be available for the next 2+ years. In the future you can do that. Not a huge deal.

I think Santa's visit is one of, if not the worst, Winter Village set made. It's too darn big to be a single house. It's just very smooth blue color. If it wasn't for Santa it wouldn't be festive at all. Meanwhile this set has a very 1950s main street feel to it and is in the correct scale.

You want to go down the rabbit hole? As one of these... 1. LEGO knows how much Americans wanted a City school or grocery store so they charge an insane amount because they know Americans want them and will pay whatever. 2. LEGO rather stick to the lazy police and fire themes as they are easy to design, saves money. So LEGO makes the school, farm, space, and grocery store so much more expensive so when they don't sell as well as fire and police LEGO will use that as an excuse to not make them in the future. -

Which is why LEGO set the price at $70, they know people will buy it. I refuse. -

Well in the USA the outrageous $70 price tag is already a mark up. If you take the 50 Euro price and remove the VAT it should be $40USD. LEGO doesn't want my money that's fine. -

I got the set off eBay for $35. It was been on sale at Walmart.com for $56 with a $10 coupon. I just realized I never even built it. This is so true. There are so many of them they are always on sale for at least 20% off. Grocery Store on sale? Nope. Police Station? Sure thing! -
BrickLink designer program set not delivered

I hear a lot of ifs. If you got a refund why would the law require you to get something? That doesn't even make sense. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Maple replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
None of the modulars have been listed as retiring on any of the retiring lists that are floating around. -
By the time the winter GWPs come out this set will be sold out.
-
I think the comments here are kind of laughable. I think this is one of the best WV sets to date. The outside of the buildings, what everyone will be displaying, looks amazing. So much nicer than the oversized / out of WV scale, very boring and blah Santa's Visit. And shockingly still only $100. I'm sold.

Looks different, but looks nice. I'll wait for price before deciding how much I like it.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Maple replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Those are so incredible minor things, more so because LEGO still won't give us all the new pieces. I rather have the pieces and the system Bricks and Pieces gave us than the new system and less pieces. -

What are the two steps forwards. It's been 10 steps back. That's it. It's a mess. It has been all year. Not a single change LEGO made has been for the better when it comes to PAB or B&P.
