Not a bad idea, but we did get a train station pretty recently; the Winter Village Station. And we all know that Winter Village sets have production runs or three Christmases; ergo it'll come back into production not long after the summer wave hits. It's totally possible that the designers think the Winter Train Station fills that role.

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
Fenghuang0296 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
You sure? I thought the Wasp minifig looked white to me . . but if it is light bley, then that'll be fine. Personally, I was just planning on attaching the upper half to a wall somewhere in my village and just going "her legs are inside the wall," but this works too. Nevermind, looked again, it is light bley. Alright then. ^^- 3,962 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
Fenghuang0296 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wasp minifigure sucks. Ghost is alright; might have a home in my layout, breaking into a bank. Ant-Man is awesome as always. But the actual model is beautiful. Such impressive greebling, elegant shapes and colours, a brilliantly unique shape - I am happy that this is a thing. I'm going to get it just because it looks so cool. You know something's wrong with the world when sets from the MCU include better spaceships than sets from Star Wars. XD- 3,962 replies

Amen. I don't even know where to get road plates here in Australia. -.- Yep. Whoever's producing the hot dogs in-universe must be making a killing.

I have mixed feelings about this Capital City set or whatever they're gonna call it. On the one hand, the vehicles look great. Especially the tour bus. But, on the other . . why so much tan? Tan is already an absurdly overused colour for buildings - look at Lockwood Estate, or Downtown Diner. The hotel also doesn't do itself any favours with only having a single guest room and those holes in the walls. And that's a pretty pathetic excuse for a museum - sure, it might be under construction, but be honest. Does anyone want to put something that's built to look boring and unfinished into their city and say "It's under construction,"? I do like the fast food place, though. Plus, the vehicles; especially the double-decker bus and the ice-cream truck. Unfortunately, those don't make it worth it. I'd rather save for the Hospital and the Ninjago City Docks.

Unikitty! 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
Fenghuang0296 replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Licensed
I love the sets, but now that I've seen the actual show, one thing bothers me; the absence of a proper castle. Sure, we have Dr. Fox's Lab, which is part of the castle, and that small part in the box, but neither of them really fill the role of a proper castle. Anyone think we'll get more sets next year? -

Disney Princesses 2018 - Rumors & Discussion

. . Wait, that little thing in the bedroom set is Pascal? . . Dear god, I didn't recognise him. Those eyes just look so stupid and un-Pascal-ish. That's it. Thank god. Both Rapunzel sets are a major disappointment. If only we'd gotten something for Merida . . .- 135 replies

Jurassic World 2018 - Rumors and Discussion

Okay, scratch that. For anyone who's interested, I found the T-Rex Transport at Toys R Us in Australia. Bad news is, it's still priced at a jacked up $100 AUD. Here's hoping a liquidation sale's on the horizon.- 1,290 replies

Jurassic World 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
Fenghuang0296 replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not to mention; we might get a raptor, or gallimimus, mood coloured to look like a young T-Rex. Alongside an actual adult T-Rex, of course. Because the currently existing baby dinosaur mold is a bit too small compared to what was in the movie. Especially if my dream comes true and that mold is recoloured in bright green and used for a Compsognathus.- 1,290 replies

Ooh, tricky. The Brick Bank had the impressive bank facade on the left corner, whichever you'd definitely want to be facing the front. So it has to be on the right. Which leaves the Cinema to be on the right. I wouldn't recommend the Parisian Restaurant as being on the left side of anything except the Downtown Diner (or Market Street) because of the height disparity that will inevitably leave a massive slab of wall exposed. Same for the Downtown Diner itself. Assuming we are working within the constraints of what's currently available, that leaves the Detective's Office and Assembly Square. The Detective's Office's lower left side won't mesh well with the high roofs of the Palace Cinema, which really only leaves Assembly Square. That said, there are a couple of other options; Personally, out of the official Modular Buildings, I think the Fire Station would work the best in this scenario. Unfortunately, it's retired, but if you can somehow get it, then by all means. But I think that one of the best possibilities would actually be the Super Heroes Sanctum Sanctorum, modified to function as a Modular (as many people have). The slanted roof of the Sanctum would fit nicely with the Cinema, while the more bricky apartment building section would work equally well alongside the Brick Bank. Some modifications would need to be made - putting it on a baseplate, installing sidewalks, building out the interior - but that could well get you the best result. That said, there's one more possibility that might work. Later this year, the Ninjago City Docks will be released. Like Ninjago City before it, it will be fully compatible with other Modular Buildings, albeit matching Assembly Square in being 48 studs wide. Which might not work, depending on your layout plans. Unfortunately, we haven't seen much of the front side of the Docks just yet, so I can't accurately tell how well it will fit with other Modulars. That said, if you're willing to be patient and see how it turns out, you don't have anything to lose by taking a look once someone manages to get their hands on it and does a proper review.

Holy crap, did . . did they actually manage to condense a good-looking hospital into a . . what is that, 16x24? With chunks taken out on opposite corners? The Heartlake Hospital was the width of a whole baseplate. It was the main reason I didn't get that, it took up too much space. But this thing? . . Still a little too metropolitan for my village's taste, but I can certainly overlook that in favour of how well designed this beautiful pile of plastic is. Standard trashy helicopter, destined to be scrapped for parts, cute ambulance, gonna keep that, excellent minifigure count . . hot damn. I have no idea if this thing is actually going to be in my budget or not (which is stretched pretty thin with the Ninjago, .Jurassic World and Fantastic Beasts stuff) but if it is it definitely has a place in my City.

They are. If you have the currently existing Spinjitzu Masters, you can get these and switch out the wheel part to reverse engineer a pseudo-Airjitzu.

The people pack is brilliant. Highlights include the new prints, reuse of the rare, Bart Simpson-esque triple-molded legs, that grey wig that looks like it's a new mould, the eagle and the tent. I wonder where Mount Clutchmore is?

Light bley and tan will both work for my plan. The two currently available colours of 32x32, however, bright green and blue, will not. And my objective here is to save money, IE buying as few things as possible to complete the objective.

That's an impressive-looking layout. But quick question; why not simply build an appropriately sized assembly of plates and prop it up using a Technic structure? That's what I plan to do for the small part of my planned layout that will be elevated. As for the questions regarding my intentions, allow me to clarify; the edges of the baseplate will all be covered, but parts of them will still be exposed. And tan and light bley will both work more-or-less equally well for what I have in mind. That said, because I own a spare light bley 48x48 and no tan 32x32s, I have gone ahead and cut it to suit my purpose. Thank you for the opinion. And . . there are official TLG knifes? I didn't know that. Where can I get one? XD

Unfortunately, I can also confirm that the two 'Golden Dragon Master' figures in the Master of Dragons and Dragon's Den sets do indeed have different prints. Oh well . . On the plus side, counting the baby there are now four different Wu variants this year!

Yes, yes yes yes! Forget Ninjago, that site has good images of just about every Summer Set ever! Thank you so much! This is so incredible . . do you think it'll get taken down? EDIT: Okay, strike that. It has images for Elves, Ninjago, Disney, Creator and Architecture, possibly Duplo too, I wouldn't know . . still pretty good! My only issue is that the Docks pictures only show us a really small and partly obscured view of the 'front' side, even though it's really something that should be displayed to be visible on all sides. But oh well. We'll just have to wait until a reviewer gets their hands on it.

Oh, yes yes yes. These are both so cool! I think this is going to be one of those rare occasions where I collect every set in a theme. The Elvenstar Tree is even better than I thought it would be, which is saying something. And I am so expanding the 'Shadow World' area of the Elvendale part of my city layout. Because I want to put both the carriage and that workshop area into it - can anyone tell whether it attaches to the left or the right of Noctura's Tower? I'm inclined to say left based on the way it sort of slants . . Full props for these sets! Any word on a release date?

Can I just say, wow that caravan looks ugly. Garish colours, absurdly disproportionate wheels, and it doesn't even look like it follows the Build and Swap series. Excellent mini-dolls and nice to get Max, but that does not make that disappointing set worth getting. Boo.- 135 replies

No, Chen was the evil Anacondrai-obsessed sorcerer who was the main villain of the Tournament of Elements arc. But yes, that is the cheerleader guy. Apparently his name's Chad.

Thanks! For me, Chad (the author of the smash hit "Boo Lloyd"), the new suit for Cole, and Nelson are definitely the highlights here. Though I think people are being a little too critical of Mystake - the only problem I see is the absence of a hat, which was probably done so Shen could have al alternate face. And, if you absolutely can't live without Mystake having a hat/hair combo, you can just scrounge up a spare Sensei Wu hat and Kragle-ify it to her wig. And more citizens to walk the streets of my city are never a bad thing. So I don't mind the generic people. Especially since I'm pretty sure Betsy and her baby are among the people who were screaming "Garmadon!" in the first trailer, way back when.
