The new trailer has me hyped. I think I'm most excited for the Hydroman set, though Mysterio with the fishbowl is going to be pretty cool. I admit that I like his design and really want to see a minifig version of him now. -

Except the printed toolbox that might as well be solid gold to Classic Space fans. -
It's not an update. The Ninjago City Chase set from the movie, with the casual clothes Nya fig, had an at-the-time-unique head for Nya that had one 'normal' expression and one relaxed, smiling expression. They've just started using that one instead.

I hope so. I'll be honest, I don't care for the actual Benny minifigure - and am disappointed that he doesn't have the visor OR the backpack from the Metalbeard set - but the Classic Space toolbox is awesome and I sure wouldn't mind getting it, -
What are you talking about? People had legitimate and valid reasons for disliking the new masks. Firstly; the long 'headband' stops you from putting on any form of shoulder armour - which is acceptable for the main six suits, but the Golden Ninja's shoulder armour was an important part of his design and I, at least, sorely miss it. Not to mention, the two-part assembly was great because it allowed the ninja to have their face so exposed without fully taking off their masks; you could just take off the bottom bit as you felt like it. Not to mention the wasted potential for more mask/armours like the Dragon Hunter style that you could mix-and-match with.

I was at the Lego shop in Melbourne (Chadstone) recently and they were sold out too (they got two shipments and both were cleared out immediately) but the shop assistant I talked to did say they'd be restocking eventually.

Actually, since there is apparently a May wave of sets and then a summer wave, it's likely there might be as many as four waves of sets for TLM2. In which case it would surprise me immensely if those ships DIDN'T become a set. At the very lease we're certain to get that ship with Benny and Balthazar from the trailer. -

So, the McDonalds' toys have leaked. A bunch of keyrinfs that presumably make noises, not very interesting . . except one thing. Sweet Mayhem's is of her with her mask off. This, combined with the fact that every set with her also includes her hairpiece - which is very unusual - leads me to believe that around halfway through the movie, there's going to be a 'face reveal' and then Mayhem will spend the rest of the movie with her helmet mostly off and possibly as a good guy(girl). -

Besides, it's not like it would take much in-movie to justify this; {entity of some kind, possibly Thanos, is attacking the lab} Captain America: There's no time, everyone get those suits on and get to the portal NOW! Ant-Man: But all we have are these generic, identical suits, we haven't had the time to make personalised suits that boost the individual powers of each of us! Rocket: Yeah, mine is the only one who you've even put an Avengers logo on! I'm not even one of your lot! Captain America: We'll make do, now go before we all die! -

I do not like this idea. Best case? There's a flat rarity system and I'll likely have to turn to Bricklink to get what I want. Worst case? There's going to be a couple of minifigs that are particularly rare and they'll become expensive collector's items. And here I was about to float the possibility of Classic Spacemen being included in this reputed Space People Pack. I don't like where this is going. -

To be fair, there's never really been a reason for them to release two separate bigwigs of the same character before. But the Quantum Realm suits are a pretty big deal, or at least they're being marketed that way. Also, according to that list Ronin - who I know is probably the most hotly anticipated minifigure in this line - is exclusive to the biggest Set. Now that's something I believe. Frankly, the only real red flags are the Happy Hogan minifigure and the Outrider bigfig. And they aren't THAT far out of the realm of possibility. -
This is great! Does anyone know how they did that? I think I want to do the same.

Detail on short legs other than for Bart Simpson. That'll be the day. What next, a printed leg alongside a peg leg? No, they're just gonna create a 'condensed' version of the print that is only on the chest. And maybe recolour the straps molded on Rocket's head in white. -

Any betting that the small set will just have a repeat of IW Cap? -
Greetings all. In the wake of the new Classic Space stuff being released as part of TLM2, I'm starting to think that I, as a relatively new AFOL (really a TFOL), should be interestd in tracking down part of such an iconic part of Lego history. I have already purchased the 4+ Emmet and Benny Workshop set (for the Classic Space ship mostly, though the actual workspace area is going into a MOC) and . . well, I would have purchased Benny's Space Squad, but someone (or, really, a lot of someones) bought up the entire stock on Shop@Home. So I suppose I'll have to wait until the folks in Denmark can compensate for demand, but I do intend to get it. Of course, this leaves me with a problem; I will have ships and rovers, but no actual Classic Space Moon-/Asteroid-/Wherever-the-hell-in-Space-Base. I do have some display space open on a high shelf, though; enough for one baseplate with some things hanging over the edge on one side. Which brings me to my question; who here is an experienced purveyor of Classic Space who could point me to an appropriate set? Preferably containing some sort of base of operations, at least some room for a ship (though not necessarily including a ship, as I already have that covered) and, necessarily, mostly fitting on a single baseplate? Or would I be better off either MOCcing something or waiting and hoping that the second and third waves of TLM2 sets include a new Classic Space moonbase?
-
It just occurred to me that if they recoloured the new one-side spiked shoulder accessory seen in TLM2's 70836 and 70840 in gold, it would be perfect for an upcoming Doomfist minifig. Coincidence? Or could this be a hint towards the sets coming in 2HY?

I'm currently leaning towards using Tina Goldstein's head from the Dimensions/Suitcase sets.

Thanks, but . . I actually meant having the DO on the other side of the CG . . still, I can tell enough from that picture to confirm my suspicion that the right half of DO, the blue part, is the same height as the CG (give or take a couple of plates). So I'm confident that when I find a good deal on the Garage I can put it right next to my DO and have it look good.

I think they did a pretty good job; my first instinct is to say Genji's absent face is a result of Lego not wanting to print something so graphic on a children's toy, but then I remembered they've done 'scarred Darren Vader' in the past . . I'm personally not very interested in Hanzo or Genji, so I'll probably pass on that set unless I find myself with leftover cash and get it as an impulse buy (which has happened to me before). I don't know why Hanzo's dragon tattoo is missing, and it's disappointing that Mercy's face was mucked up so badly, but the latter is easy to fix and aside from those two, all the figures look great and the builds equally so. I definitely intend to buy these sets, and I almost definitely will buy whatever's in Wave 2. So here's hoping everyone else feels the same.

I feel the same. Since this is the fourth Modular that's distinctly American, rather than European (FB, DO, DD and now CG) I particularly want to see how they all look together. Maybe going DD-DO-CG-FB? I'd love it if someone could post a picture of how CG looks next to the DO.

Has anyone got any word on if/when the Overwatch sets will be available in Australia?
