Hold on, everyone. I’m looking at that jewellery stand and I think that’s a new 9x9 heart-shaped tile. Whoa, that’ll be useful.

Spinjitzu sets for Cole, Kai and Lloyd? . . There’s no way this is a Cole focused season, right? Looks like the Kai Fighter and Destiny’s Bounty fall under the Legacy sets this time. So the Bounty probably won’t be in the show. The Lightning Jet Battle is probably Legacy too, but . . the only Lightning Jet is the Rise of the Snakes one and didn’t we already get a Legacy of that set? Either way, this means good odds of getting Legacy Kai and Zane and maybe even Nya to compliment the Cole, Jay and Zane we’ve already gotten. Skull Sorcerer sounds interesting, with a lot of sets themed around him. The weird thing is that all the ninja vehicles seem to be small ones. Are there really only six sets in this TV show wave? The Fire Stone mech sounds neat . . a combination vehicle for Kai and Cole? I’m surprised Wu’s Battle Dragon is the smallest vehicle (since I bet ‘Journey’ will be similar to 2019’s Lloyd’s Journey with Akita) . . also good to have it confirmed that Zane is returning to the focus. A ‘Mino Creature’ might be interesting.

So . . um . . what the hell? With my initial reaction out of the way . . yeah, I have genuinely no idea what to think about this. This is not something I ever expected to see. If nothing else, I like the pineapple pencil holder set. That would look nice on my desk at work. Or on my desk at home. Or on my LEGO workbench. The photo holders are pretty cute too, and . . I have no idea what I could possibly use the jewellery holder for (given all my money goes towards LEGO, not jewellery), but it does look cool. Oh, and I fully expect some clever MOCcers will put the bracelet parts to some creative use.

I picked up the Lion Dance yesterday too! Can’t wait to build it, and I love what you’ve done here. A ‘Chinatown market street’ with road baseplates is a great way to use those Temple Festival stalls with the A-Wedges that make it so difficult to put them in cities. Not planning on getting the Temple Festival myself (much as I love your idea I just finished reorganising my layout and really don’t want to do so again to incorporate a baseplate or two of Chinatown), but I approve! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

So is it too optimistic of me to hope for a Razorcrest with Mando, Baby Yoda and at least one other character from the show in time for Christmas? Also, do we think LEGO was told about any of the later stuff in the show? Because -

Pretty unlikely. I’d expect sometime 2021, maybe early 2022. If they already have designs for all three and the poll is just ‘which of these should go to production’, it might be released around Christmas this year, but I doubt that. -
LEGO Hidden Side 2020

Yeah, I think I’ll just skip it. It’s a much weaker offer than the Juice Bar (even though haunted vehicles are something I do like them doing and hope we’ll see more possessed vehicle monsters rather than simply monster buildings anti-ghost converted vehicles next wave). It’s simply not worth the hassle, even though it is great that it has two of that exclusive printed 2x2 from the Shrimp Shack. -

So, that Drag Racer GWP is available now . . gods, LEGO, what the hell? You’re giving them away for purchases of $45 or more in the US, but we in Australia have to hit a $130 threshold? In what world does that make sense? Who do I complain to about this? I’m not even joking, this has gone too far! There aren’t even any Hidden Side sets this wave that are anywhere near that big! -
That’s brilliant. If I can get this one I’ll totally do that. And I’m kind of hoping it’ll be a LEGO Store exclusive or at least available there. I almost never buy direct from LEGO, so making it a GWP would kinda suck for me.

I think I saw the AT-ST on shelves exactly once. I ordered mine off Amazon. And when I got my Mandalorian Battle Pack a few days ago, it was the only one left on the shelf. I think this bodes well for future waves of Mandalorian content. I shudder to think how high in demand the first set to contain Baby Yoda will be . . and I know I’ll be right there lining up to buy it, too. (Especially if it’s the Razorcrest.) -
They’re currently out of stock, but thanks. Still, I’d rather just repurpose what I already have than order something entirely new and still have two spare duplicate Bennies being totally useless.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I have added a couple of my own parts in places - swapped out the arms on the green one for dark azure to better match the helmet, for example - but I’d be happy to once I finish. (I want to see how one of them looks with the new Ninjago shoulder armour, though, so I’m waiting until I can get one of the sets with that in it.) -
Hey all. So it occurs to me that, now that we have the non-cracked blue updated Classic Space helmet in the Ninjago Gamer’s Market, the only thing we need to make a non-Benny, generic Blue Classic Spaceman is the torso in blue with a non-faded Classic Space logo. (And anyone who bought more than one TLM2 set with Benny will have that, personally I think I have at least four.) The only thing left to do is either create a custom sticker or custom print of the logo and slap it on a spare Benny torso with a classic smiley face and the non-cracked helmet. So, is there anyone more skilled at customisation than me who knows how I’d go about doing that?

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

There were actually only two named Mandalorians in the show, at least in season 1. The Mandalorian himself and the Armourer. (Forgive me if some of the background ones have names that were revealed in press releases or whatever, I haven’t read everything yet.) Anyway, just finished the series, and . . On a related note, I picked up the Mandalorian Battle Pack (because it finally showed up around here) and have been playing around with the minifigure parts to make some unique custom designs. I’m missing a couple of parts yet, but once it’s done I’ll post them, if people are interested? -
Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Fenghuang0296 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hey, this set would have been in development some time around this time last year, right? Or even late 2018? Is it possible that whoever designed this set didn’t know that they were introducing a new hood piece over in the Star Wars line and that’s why it uses the old one? Can’t help but notice that new hood has only seen use in SW to date. . . . There’s no way the hood is tagged as a specifically SW licensed part and cannot be used anywhere else, right? -
. . . oh. Well my bad . .

I really like this set. Taskmaster kind of sucks, but the two Widows are great. I want to get a closer look at the helicopter, see how much space is inside it. -

I’d interpret it as being closer to the Shadowfell from D&D, if you know it . . though there isn’t much difference to be fair . . -
Has anyone in Australis found any of the new sets anywhere? Stock’s creeping in, but so far no sign of Trolls or Ninjago anywhere except the official LEGO Shop.

Seriously? The sticker reads “Cole, the cake is a lie?” This is foreshadowing something that happens in the TV series isn’t it? OMG, if they actually reference Portal like that . . Great set. I’m gonna get it as soon as it shows up in Australia. (Seriously where is all the Ninjago stuff I haven’t seen it anywhere . .)- 17 replies

Alright, the Fairground is built. It’s cute. I think my favourite part is the central section with the two clown faces, and I certainly recognise how they tie in to the boss ghost of the set, Tragico (who has possibly my favourite design of all boss ghosts so far). I’m surprised that his Soul Artefact is a hot dog, nwhich woud have been great to get in the set I don’t know why we didn’t. I was skeptical about the quarter-coaster - and, okay, I still am, but if nothing else the function at the end to create a face with the hands and carriage is cool. I can’t decide whether to leave that as is or modify it into a more conventional clown face for when I add this to my layout. Minifigures are cool, but we could have used just one more clown, and I’m so sick of Jack and Parker - I’m considering making Parker’s blue jacket the official school uniform for my school I have so many of them . . or maybe some kind of street gang faction . . actually yeah I like that one more. But we need more protagonists! I do like JB’s new and exclusive face print but wish they’d updated the rest of her design. Overall, the set is good but there’s something dissatisfying about it that I can’t quite quantify. I hope there’s some real knockouts in the summer wave. -

There’s 2020 animations? News to me. The 2020 sets have finally shown up at my local Target. I picked up the Fairground, not because that’s the only one I want but I’m in the middle of reorganising my LEGO storage and don’t currently have enough space for anything else (while I’ve had space cleared in my city for the Fairground since last month). I’ll make sure to post my thoughts once it’s built. -
Ninjago has been providing me with fuel for my custom stuff for years. Case in point; the lead pilot of BSP-Ace (the ‘good guy spaceship fleet’ of my layout/collection’) is currently flying a modified Zane’s ShuriCopter, and last year - oh actually, it’s 2020, year before last - I converted the Dragon Pit and all the Dragon Hunter stuff into the basis for my post-apocalyptic display. My point being, I’m totally on board with starfighters. Imagine adding the ninja to the SW Resistance.
