No, I HAVE a new train. I converted the recent City Passenger Train so that the motor was in the first carriage and then hooked it up to the Hidden Side train, but I’m now looking to replace the Hidden Side engine with this. I’m just wondering if anyone has any insight on how to connect a standard magnetic coupling to those brick-built buffers and Technic pin hole.

So I finally got the Winter Village Fire Station, and also ordered this GWP . . does anyone have thoughts on how best to attach it to a newer-style train?

You mean the leaked set numbers from a while back? Those were summer sets that’re part of Season 13.

Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

So, I haven’t seen the movies in years . . is that Tom a Riddle outfit accurate? Because . . he’s wearing a shirt, then a jumper, then a coat, then a cloak. Four layers. Like I get Hogwarts is in Scotland and it’s cold but . . come on, overkill much? Maybe he really is cold-blooded . . -

I’m surprised we haven’t gotten Lizard. He was in one of the Amazing Spider-Man movies. $80 USD? Oh gods this is just the Hulk Helicopter Drop all over again . . no. Sorry LEGO, but I’m putting my foot down here. I’m not buying this set at that price. Just no. -

Oh yeah, Superior! I forgot about him because I used my Miles Morales figure to make a custom of him last year. Yeah we so need an official Superior Spider-Man figure. -

I think that Venomsaurus is possibly the best Marvel set I’ve seen this year, and possibly the only one I’ll actually get. Spider-Ham, yes please, fresh and interesting take on Venom, sweet, that comics/Ultimate Iron Spider . . okay so I’m running out of space in my Spidey suit display and it’ll need an expansion but I can work with it. Buggy and repeat Spidey, meh but they had to do it I guess. Are there any major Spider-Man counterparts we haven’t gotten now? The only one I can think of is Peni Parker and Sp//dr, but I’m hardly a comics buff. -
DC Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

Why? Leg and arm printing, sure, but only if the Batman suit in the movie actually has that sort of detail. Don’t forget The Lego Batman Movie - they had an insane budget for figures; Robin and Batgirl got dual moulding, new accessories, printing on the sides of Batgirl’s legs and her arms, the works - but Batman was just the same as ever, simply with a hilarious amount of facial variety and the new utility belt piece. Because the most accurate portrayal of Batman was like that, just pure black arms and legs. Have we seen the suit for the 2021 movie? Because I think LEGO should prioritise accuracy over excess of detail. -
The only time anyone ever hoped for less detail . . Still, I agree that the sets are surprisingly nice. I’m going to pick up the bike and the temple set, because the temple is cute and compact and I can always find room for a six-deep shrine, and I can’t not have Gru. Though the presence of a thing like that here makes me fear there won’t be anything similar in Monkie Kid like I hope . . Since it’s Kid Gru, am I the only one considering switching his legs for mid- or short legs?

I’ve seen it at my local Melbourne Kmart. It doesn’t interest me (the last thing I need is more ninja vehicles, I already have that Overlord from the Golden Dragon and don’t collect ninja suits) so I didn’t look too closely but I think it was $59 AUD, which seems like a good price considering the (much worse comparatively) Ninja Tuner Car is at the same price point.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Fenghuang0296 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, that’s probably it. I’d love a new torso to reflect but you can’t have everything and at the very least the face is gonna be new. Anyway, this set looks awesome! Baby Yoda is great, the Razorback looks absolutely gorgeous. So much greebling and design work, I love it! The repeat of the new Scout Trooper is a nice bonus and makes me want to see if that Endor set from last year is still available so I can have two. IG-11 is a good addition, though I don’t even remember who Greef Karga is honestly . . still, definitely gonna get this set! -

Only one non-bust, non-D-0 set in the April wave? Do we know what it is? Mandalorian/Yoda Brickheadz looks cute, but I still hate Brickheadz. -
LEGO Monkie Kid 2020

Counterpoint; based on the leaks we’ve seen, the summer wave of Ninjago - which will be available concurrently with the first wave of MK - will actually be stepping away from the standard vehicle fare. Out of the six main release sets, the leaks point to two location builds, two dragons, a mech and . . whatever Zane’s Rhino/Mino Beast ends up being. The only part of that that’s likely to have any overlap with a ‘standard’ Chima/Nexo Knights-esque Big Bang theme is the ‘Fire Rock Mech’. And then there’s the Legacy stuff, which is the Destiny’s Bounty, a remake of the Kai Fighter and a 4+ Jay’s Storm Fighter remake. I don’t think there’s a single wheel in that entire wave. Also, I assume you’re talking about the average Western buyer, but we need to remember that LEGO’s not making this theme for Western audiences, they’re doing it for the Chinese market. Who will be aware of and appreciate all the differences with Ninjago’s Japanese fare, and all the more so since it seems like Summer 2020 Ninjago actually isn’t Japanese at all. And apparently Hidden Side’s going to keep going concurrently with both of them. -
LEGO Monkie Kid 2020

Elves would like a word with you. So would Hidden Side, for that matter - I know, there’s technology, but stuff like the School Bus honestly makes me think more of 1980s Ghostbusters than anything futuristic. -
LEGO Monkie Kid 2020
Fenghuang0296 replied to Classic_Spaceman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I can’t think of anything else it could be. Bulls exist in Chinese mythology, we know there aren’t going to be any more Prime Empire sets this year (ask again in 2025 when Legacy catches up to Season 12) and I can’t imagine that cyber bull guy being in a City or Creator or Hidden Side set. I’m still going to put him (and anything else from Monkie Kid with that aesthetic) with the Prime Empire stuff though. -
One thing I’m noticing as a red flag; We’re getting Spinner sets for Cole, Lloyd and Kai, right? But there’s also spinners included in the Journey and the Dungeon sets. They might just repeat the spinners for one of those three, but personally it makes a lot more sense to put spinners for Jay and Zane in those two sets. And I’m fairly sure that Zane’s in the Dungeon, so if Jay actually is in the Journey then I’m hopeful it’ll be his spinner. Also, best I can tell, the Rhino Beast looks surprisingly cool and overbuilt. Definitely something I could see having an alternate build to transform into part of the board game, which would be swell.
-
Trolls and goblins? Aww, I was looking forward to the skeletons . . also, alright! The Sorceror’s Dragon definitely comes with a side build that’s part of the board game. Though I can’t really make out much about the Journey . . other than that it’s disappointing that we get three heroes and one villain. Couldn’t have replaced one of the ninjas with a skeleton? Unfortunately I don’t see any game parts in the ninja vehicle sets. Oh well, it looks like this might be another wave where I only get the villain-oriented stuff.

LEGO Hidden Side 2020

The point of this theme is to be a better CITY than CITY while throwing in just enough play features and ridiculous vehicles to keep kids entertained. -

Hey Falconfan, can you tell us yet whether or not any of the sets from the upcoming wave are set in the ghost world like the Hidden Side Portal is? -
LEGO Hidden Side 2020
Fenghuang0296 replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Hey, I just realised that both Ninjago and Hidden Side have small waves this summer. And if the leaks we’ve gotten are accurate, there’s going to be more sets in Monkie Kid than Ninjago and HS combined. Does anyone else think they slashed the set budget for both themes to allot more to a massive first wave for Monkie Kid? -
Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Fenghuang0296 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
The skeptical part of me expects them to just reuse the same Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, etc figures from the last couple of waves. Though it would be really great if they were nice enough to give us a new Iron Man in the big Avengers Tower - it just so happens that there are exactly two open spaces in my Hall of Armour, so on the off chance it is a new Iron Man and not a repeat of the one in the mech set, I can get both and my Hall will be complete for the time being. -

Two Avengers Towers AND a Helicarrier? Colour me impressed and a little bit skeptical, but I’ll reserve judgement. The five-storey Avengers Tower sounds awesome. -

I so called it about Iron Man being in the Tower. Loki too? The Tower sounds like a great set. I’m nervous about the Helicarrier, since it’d have to be big and I don’t know if LEGO would do two big sets like that in one wave. Can’t wait for pictures!
