Hey . . I saw vehicles from previous seasons in that short. There was a whole . . fleet seems like the wrong word for cars . . of Katana 4x4s and a Jungle Raider. Interesting! I guess they’re reusing assets, but it makes sense!

So it’s almost guaranteed that there’ll be an Iron Man in Avengers Tower, right? It’ll probably be a repeat of the figure in the Iron Man mech, I kind of can’t see then introducing two new non-MCU variants of Iron Man in one year when they’re probably going to recycle the current comics Spider-Man for a couple more years yet. I was going to get the Iron Man Mech for that exclusive figure, but now that I know it’ll probably come in a set that I’ll get anyway, I’ll hold off. I can always get it after we see pictures if I’m wrong. All the leaked sets are slated for June releases, right?

Are we watching the same show? Ninjago is like 50% loose ends and unanswered questions. How did Clouse escape the Cursed Realm to begin with? Where the hell has Pythor been for the last two years in-universe? Why have we not heard from the Serpentine under Skales since Season 7? What happened to the Elemental Blades during the timeskip between Seasons 2 and 3? Or the Ultra Sonic Raider? Or . . actually there was that Legacy short that retconned what happened to the Ultra Dragon so at least that one’s been explained. What did they do with the Dragon Master Armour? Where are Ray and Maya, we haven’t seen Kai and Nya’s parents since Season 7? At some point in the future Krux and Acronix are gonna fall out of a hole in the sky with an army of Vermillion, why did Wu come back but not them? Where are the Stone Army? If Jay and Nya are married now why haven’t we seen them being romantic to each other? What the hell was up with Char, if Aspheera was so unpopular why did he love her so much? Also, what happened to Char and the other Fire Snakes after Aspheera was defeated and captured? . . . wow, that ended up long. Anyway, I’ve long given up on expecting massive consistency within Ninjago. I’m totally fine with a season of ‘Ninjago as a D&D parody’.

Well, the series is on again! And, plot twist, the principal from the High School is Jack’s mother! How did we not know about this before now? EDIT: I just checked the description of the High School, and Rosa Davids (the principal) does indeed have the same surname as Jack. I guess no one noticed before now.

Who said anything about Season 1? I’m talking about the flashbacks in Season 5.

Maybe? Though I feel like the board game aspect might interfere with that. Though Classic Castle’s has black skeletons, and ai think there was a chess set . . {shrugs} Not impossible.

Watch the damn show, this was cleared up like five years and seven seasons ago. Something just occurred to me; there’s no way the ‘Spinjitzu Surge’ sets will somehow be able to be added to the Dungeon, right? Because if they did that somehow, it would actually be really cool. @THELEGOBATMAN Are you sure about that Journey set? The prices tend to be in ascending order within a subtheme, by that logic Journey and Wu’s Dragon should be switched in the numbering scheme. Dude, we knew Clouse was a long shot. Let it go. I’d love to see Clouse, Pythor, Krux and/or Acronix return, but they basically rebooted the series after the movie, and again after March of the Oni. I don’t think we’re ever going to see those villains again.

Oh, this sounds cool. Glad to hear physical Lady E. confirmed. Now if we just knew what E stands for . . also I suppose there’ll be blue and pink ghosts in the castle, then. Sweet. So the castle also has a ‘possessed mode’? Interesting. I suppose it’s not completely in the Hidden Side then. Shame.

Last year when we first saw Hidden Side we only got four of the eight sets revealed initially. Can we expect something similar?

From what I’ve seen, this all sounds like it checks out. And (assuming this info is legit) I’m right about every set being able to connect into a big board game? In that case I think I’m going to buy a lot of this subtheme. I suspected that there might be cards! I bet the ninjas will have ‘character sheets’, possibly also classes, as well as stats, equipment (no doubt with cards for weapons and items). One of the things that makes the most sense to me about this is the idea that this wave will be less focused on Ninjago’s typical Asian vibe and more based on Western fantasy tropes, because of the rumoured ‘Monkie King’ subtheme. This sort of lines up, because if they’re debuting a new Asian-inspired theme, temporarily steering Ninjago away from Asian thematics makes perfect sense to prevent it from getting ‘samey’. Is there going to be a secondary sub-wave releasing around October? We had rumours of an April/May release containing four more Prime Empire and Legacy sets, two each. Is this the new normal? EDIT: Also, as for the Beholder thing, it’s possible that they’ll be only in the show, since we’ve had show stuff that was never in a set quite often and that sounds about right. Also, interesting that they’re doing skeletons again, but I assume these ones are different to the OG 2011 Skellingtons. (Is that right? It’s been like a decade I forget.)

Whoops. My bad . . I hope you’re right, location builds are great. Now I’m kind of excited . . I’ll reserve judgement until we get a proper reveal though. Well, that’s some badass concept art but it doesn’t quite match the bigfig; no mohawk.

Also, leaked price list. Are we sure that the $60 71360 is part of Leaf? It seems out of order when a set that size should really be between 71367-8. Also, four $10 sets? There’s gonna be a gimmick isn’t there damnit . .

So there’s someone on instagram saying that the blue bigfig’s name is ‘Wujing’. Kind of disappointing that they’re doing more Asian stuff alongside Ninjago, instead of mining European or American fantasy. Assuming it’s true and not fake.

I hope it’ll be the case that the sets can be put together like Heroica. (Too young to know OE.) I’m not optimistic, though - maybe ‘Journey to the Dungeon’ and ‘Dungeon’ can combine, but the rest all sound like standard overbuild vehicles and animals. Unless they have side builds? Actually that’d be great - remember the TLBM sets with side builds that combined to form a power plant? Imagine if we got something similar with every set containing a chunk of board that can be added to the Dungeon set. Jeez if they did that I actually might buy every set in the line for the first time since Skybound.

A board game? Kickass! If it’s really like Heroica but Ninjago and minifig scale that’ll be awesome. I wonder how it’ll work with the TV show?

The wave sounds mediocre, except for the Avengers Tower. I missed the 2014 one, so an updated and improved one would be so great to have. The previous one had four floors, this one might have five or even six! I can see I’m going to have to set aside a baseplate in my city for it, because there’s not a single other set so far that excites me as much as a new Avengers Tower does. Hulkbuster, meh. I like the IW one enough. Easy pass on the bust, no interest. I wonder what the others will be like?

If this list is legit they all sound great. I’d love to see another possessed vehicle; less excited about the fire truck (except that it might mean there’s finally a new protagonist who’s a firefighter, if only because I can’t picture the Newbury fire brigade just going “Okay, sure, you can retrofit our fire truck to fight ghosts. No worries. Later,” A castle is exactly what I expected, so hopefully it really will be in the Hidden Side and have a Lady E minifigure. An abandoned prison will hopefully be cool too. Can’t wait to see pictures (even if this is a fake list).

I have to disagree with you there. Remember the translucent Patronus from Harry Potter last year? How it had those ugly inside joins fully visible? Bigfigs would be even worse. I’d rather have Spring Green like the chef ghost in the Shrimp Shack, maybe with translucent arms or hands (or head because that’s just obvious). . . . or ghost tail. Imagine a bigfig with a ghost tail instead of legs . . Actually, I might see if I can use a Hagrid body to simulate that . . that’d be so cool.

I honestly don’t know what to think about this bigfig. Personally, it reminds me more than anything of Trolls, but it can’t be because it doesn’t have the big ears that literally all the other Trolls characters have. I could so dig an ‘urban fantasy’ theme. Hopefully something that follows in HS’ footsteps by having more location sets than vehicles (as opposed to Ninjago where we’re lucky if we get more than one small and one big location play set). And with Elves and Nexo Knights gone there’s a hole in LEGO’s portfolio for a magic/fantasy/Castle series. Still, it’s way too early to judge. This is like if there was a new TV series and all we knew about it was an image of one minor character. We should just wait until we have more leaks to judge by.

No, if that were the case there’d be little lines, joins visible. It looks pure. I might be wrong, but that’s how it looks to me.
