  1. S@H got a new layout today. I can still see B&P for US, UK and Germany. I can add pieces to the S@H basket but the payment fails.
  2. Apologies if the matter was already been discussed, but B&P is working right now? After the VIP change only 3 countries are supported, and I am trying to make na order in US. The piece order was added to s@h basket, but I am unable to checkout, either by Credit Card or Paypal, the system keeps returning: “we are not able to process your payment right now, please call suport”.
  3. We only have his head at the moment. It could be a bigfig with a normal head like some of the Ninjago ones, or something completely different like Might Micros.
  4. Darkside is too big to be well represented by a minifig. The bigfig was fine. But as the rest of New Gods, minifig versions would be great.
  5. Red Son Superman is the first DC animated movie of 2020 so there is hope. And you have to agree that those types of characters wouldn’t appear in a normal set.
  6. Growing up in the 70s/80s here (Brazil) I was an huge Playmobil child. Lego wasn´t available here until the 90s, and I only discoreved this pleasure much later in my live, around 5 years ago. And mainly because of my interest on Playmobil, which limitations also lead me to Lego. The things that limit Playmobil for me was the lack of flexibility and its size. Its scale is much bigger, and as an adult I like to make display sets, not play with them anymore. So anything with Lego takes too much space. I bought all the Egyptian 2007 wave of Playmobil, build a good diorama, but eventually had to sell my collection. Then I started with Lego, which size is also a concern, but scale is better. But something that Playmobil get right is the historical themes. I still look with envy at the stores when I see that currently it has Egypt, Roman, and even Vikings themes (with HtTD sets). I know Lego avoids military themes, but and Old Roman theme would be soo cool, even if not military focused. I know I can build anything with Lego, but the lack of such themes leads to less usufull minifigs and acessories. Zoo and Farm themes are also lacking in Lego.
  7. For me I welcome the idea of a DC superheroes minifig series, as an opportunity to get characters usually not found in playsets, which usually gravitates around the same basic core group of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Flash. However that is also a fear of mine, that many slots in the series will be taken by the core group which is more known to the general public. There could be some cool variants, as Red Son Superman, Gotham by Gaslight Batman, but I could not see them being the one slot each of those characters would take. I want more obscure stuff, like Samurai (to complete the SuperFriends line from TLBM, which I found cool), Legion of Superheroes (at least give us Saturn girl to complete the original trio), Warlord, Mister Miracle and the New Gods, some Green Lantern members (Guy, please) and so on. I can dream.
  8. It is poping in the usual places. But I cannot see the scorpion, the mummy is kind of blurry (I thought it was a zombie football player at first).
  9. Our Amazon does not have them. Plus I cannot import them, I need discs released with Portuguese dubs for my son. It seems they release a dvd series here around a decade or so ago, but I cannot find a single disc to buy.
  10. Piglet looks fine but the Rabbit is awful. Also the mix of minifig and brick build characters does not provide a consistent look. Tiger looks way off from the others.
  11. The original wave wasn’t even released here (Brazil) because the local branch did not though it would sell within the young generation. I had to import them. All the people that I know that wanted Scooby-Doo LEGO sets were old, and their desire was based on nostalgia alone, not new movies. let’s hope the new movie spark interest on kids, so a market can be build. actually my son (11) watched the LEGO Scooby-Doo TV movies and enjoyed their premise of detective mystery and bogus monsters, he liked to try to discover who were the bad guys. So I told him about the old series, he wanted to watch them but I could not find a way, legally OR illegally, to get them. No streaming, DVD sets, downloads available here. So much for fostering the IP.
  12. I agree on all points.
  13. Treehouse is August 1st/July 15th for VIPs. We already had all the information leaked (no pics). Friends has to come this year (25th anniversary) and I expect it soon by the all the minifig leaks (loved Joey’s face, spot on). Maybe August/September.
  14. The MOC creator also made an expansion to complete it, doubling the piece count but using like 60% of second set.
  15. They still did not ship my Saloon. ☹️
  16. I missed the Castle when it was available to pre-order but I don’t care about the box/special brick. I wish you could still buy it at regular price but maybe eventually I will bricklink its pieces (and for the extension). I will have to pay more because of multiple international shippings but ok. Are the instructions already available?
  17. No I said there are legal alternatives. Brick patent had expired yes, so there are plenty of companies doing legal sets with bricks. You can have MegaBloks, Nanoblock, and plenty of others to compete with lego (and keep a fair competition). Now what IS stealing, what Lepin does and you are falling to acknowledge is: - copy designs, ideas, package and marketing materials from other companies. Like copying the exactly Lego set. Those things take valuable time and effort to do. Of course then Lepin can be cheaper, they did not spend a thing to create the sets. - ignore current patents like the minifig design. - no paying royalties to the original IP holders, like Marvel, DC, Disney, Star Wars, etc. Again that is why there are cheaper. There are Chinese companies that do not do that and are legal. You can buy those brands, even if you ignore the quality issues. But Lepin is not one of them. There are thieves, simple as that. If you buy from them it isn’t different than buying stolen goods. Your logic with Chinese food is complete non-sense.
  18. This kind of argument is long overdue. I cannot afford x, so I can stole it. Like I can’t afford a Lamborghini, but I will not do something illegal to get it. I have plenty of other options, cheaper alternatives. You are not entitled to an expensive hobby. If you cannot afford Lego, there are other legal options without resorting to buying stolen designs.
  19. The problem is that an UCS Mystery Machine would not be minifig scale, it would be likely the same scale as the Creator Beetle/Camper Van. That would be a let down for me. A minifig scale Mystery Machine would be much smaller, almost the size of the one in the 2015 wave. Actually that one is pretty good and accurate, only lacking the capability to put the whole gang inside (there are no back seats). But that was easily modded. I agree that there is no reason to issue more sets as regular people would be satisfied with the Mystery Machine. I would like more haunted locations and monsters, but that Lego is covering in a way with Hidden Side.
  20. I saw a post on one of my Facebook groups showing a real build of this too. It is awesome. I still have to buy bricks to build mine. On another side note the creator of that build you showed seems to be selling it on Bricklink? https://store.bricklink.com/wadys_09&utm_content=globalnav#/shop?o={"showHomeItems":1}
  21. My Silent Mary is still strong on display since day one. No problems. I moved it last week for cleaning the shelf, no sagging.
  22. Those are my main issues too, although I think the project looks really great overall. If this project is approved (I wish so) the LEGO designers can break the excess of brown. Not sure how they would handle the raised baseplate, since they are out of production for a long time and here it is needed to decrease the piece count. Anyway the success of this project is already a win to show Lego that Pirates line still have a lot of fans.
  23. For Brickheadz, yes. Apologies for my previous remark, I meant to say that I don’t have interest on those. I was was saying that I don’t see Lego having a market incentive to produce more Scooby-Doo sets, since they already have a similar line.
  24. With Playmobil doing Scooby-Doo sets and LEGO already having a brand new spooky theme with Hidden Side I seriously doubt we will see any Scooby sets soon. Maybe Brickheadz, but that does not interest me.
