Tyler is a skilled character and sculpture builder, he is the creator of the Ideas Stitch. Of course all the teams are playing their strengths. The others were doing the same. I think Tyler/Amy deserves the 1st place this week. Sam and Jessica idea was really nice but I didn’t like their horse. They were pretty close to be the winners but Tyler/Amy did better. Actually my guess for the winner of this season are either Tyler/Amy or Mark/Boone. Aaron/Christian team is showing a serious lack of imagination and Sam/Jessica team don’t have the same technical skills.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

I still have a B&P order in my cart, so I can update it and it goes through. Wonder if it would be cancelled later on. -
Yeah, but I don’t agree on the decision of who was the winning team. Tyler and Amy’s bridge clearly could hold more weight, it was not even cracking, while the Mark’s one was clearly on the edge of cracking. The final decision was done on aesthetic criteria, but even so I like Tyler/Amy’s more.

3.99 is not a minifig series price range anymore, betting on booster packs.

Another possibility is that Lego may be working in a D2C 7 dwarves rollercoaster (as in Disney World Park) as a companion to Disney Castle and Train. -
If the official kits are wireless sure they will not be cheap.

I hope this theme is more location based than based on vehicles as “monsters”. Not too many mechs too please. -

Ending with the third wave? Second one didn’t even counted much, it is awful (unlike the first great one). -

Time Cruisers wasn’t really a time travel theme, it was more like crazy sci-fi vehicles theme. I want more location based sets. -
Problem is: I started my projects in LDD (with submodels/groups) then I reached a point I needed the new pieces, so converted the files to Stud.io. All groups were gone in the conversion. I am trying to make them again, but that is a different task, as first I finished the projects with the new pieces. Now I have huge Stud.io files that I need to rework (adding submodels, etc) but I would like to test the model in real bricks first, so the instructions would come in hand. But thanks for the second part, I really missed it because in LDD you didn´t have to select the parts. It works for what I need!

I am making the switch from Lego LDD to Bricklink Stud.io (mainly because of the support for new pieces) but I didn´t find a way to create instructions automatically on Stud.io. I know that Stud.io has a powerfull step-by-step instruction maker, but I would like to have a quick instructions generator, like LDD has (even if it is very rough and strange the way the steps are added) to make the first build of my creations, to test it for stability etc before making the final model (and then using the step-by-step maker to produce the final instructions). Since I am building 2.000+ pieces projects it is very hard to follow the LDD or io file by itself to build the initial buid, and a quick instruction guide would be great. Is there something similar to LDD automatically generated instructions available in Stud.io? Thanks!

Well, sorry, it was my anecdotal view. I am a father of two (12 years old boy and 7 years old girl). While both have been exposed to the medieval theme (even in school, as both participated in castle themed projects), the class of my older son wasn’t much interested in it. While the younger daughter liked the theme. She also like Lego but her interest lays on the Princess line castles. And yes, I believe HP line also a factor, as the theme and sets overlaps with Castle.

It is not that simple, otherwise Lego would be sucessful in any theme they make. To create a compeling theme today one of the strategies is to create a tie in show. Ninjago is very sucessful. But castle? They created Nexo Knights which is basically their version of Masters of the Universe. It didn´t work.

You are missing the point here. Yes, there was a TV/streaming show fantasy coming back, but those shows were targeting the adult audience (who pays for that services). Game of Thrones, The Witcher, almost everything released was 18+. I am not just saying Lego wouldn´t use those properties (it won´t anyway) but also that those shows failed to catch the children audience. Children today just don´t play with castles. So there is no demand for Lego to maintain a classic castle line. Of course AFOLs would buy such theme, but that is not where Lego gets the money.

A Time Travel theme would be awesome not only to bring back Pirates but also other short lived beloved themes like Vikings and Egypt, and introduce some favorite requests like Rome. Please be good. -

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Chiaroscuro replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
You are right about the exposed baseplate in the back of the building. Unless it is a corner building (and 2020 won’t be as the last one was one) there will be a exposed part of the baseplate. Yes, snow is the first thing that comes in mind, but I don’t think they will do that, as it will looks odd together with other modulars.
