  1. A large Spanish Galleon would be a great set to see.
  2. Good question??? Although I don't own this set, this would be one of my most desired City/Town sets:
  3. Please don't get me wrong BM. It's not bad. I just think it's a little boxy and after reading Phes's comments, I tend to agree with him. Maybe the tall sloped brown bricks in the front and back give it a bit of a seige tower look. It really isn't the "historic accuracy" that I'm looking for, just a combination of similarity to existing WW Lego and the overall WW look. I bet the coach would look rather large next to a Lego WW building. On a plus side, it has very nice detail and playability that you always seem to be good at adding. In regard to your MOCs, most of what I've seen from you have been part of your Ghost Town collection. They're much more "playful" than the types of MOCs that I've done (like your ghosty cactus). I think this is were we differ. It is nice to see you drift away from your ghost town and I'm looking forward to seeing your Legoredo Station. I would never be able to tell that your camera isn't good in looking at your MOCs. The images of your MOCs seem very sharp and clear (I don't think my camera captures my MOCs that well), unless your really doing a lot of photo-editing. I would like to see the real thing though to get a "true" idea of what your MOCs look like. Please take my comments constructively, as I've used them from other Eurobrick members to improve my MOCs as well. To give you an idea, here's the building process behind my stagecoach. Thanks to the comments provided by other members, I think the final coach was much better than my original design. Brickster's Stagecoach
  4. I'm looking forward to seeing what Lego comes up with. In looking at the images, I really like the bank. I just hope the set isn't too costly.
  5. I don't know about this one BM. Your stagecoach is very squarish/boxy in shape and seems too high (esp. looking at the back pictured below). The style reminds me more of a European/Medieval wagon for a queen (honestly). But once again, your graphic ability is excellent. Here's something I did a few years ago trying to capture the style of a traditional WW stagecoach. The shape is not easy to capture with Lego. Also, why don't you post a few more images without the graphics so that we can see some different angles.
  6. Playmobil is introducing Conquistadors as an entire theme as opposed to just a few sets like Lego. This is different.
  7. I'll most likely buy these sets (at least the fortress) as I'm a big fan of lighthouses. I'll maybe post a few images in a year or so when these become available in the US.
  8. I'm not particularly fond of the color though. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the other sets (i.e. larger fortress, ship, etc.).
  9. Simple, yet very nice.
  10. Once again, Playmobil offers a great new theme in 2007, Conquistadors. I was browsing some Playmobil boards today and came across images of this new 2007 theme. This would be another great theme for Lego:
  11. I'm not sure. You get to a point when your collection is getting too large. I like this set though and think it's the best of the collection. At $25, the price is good. Generally, once I start buying the mid-sized sets though, I'll want the entire collection. I have the two smaller sets now, but still have not opened. D-The-P: Looking forward to seeing your review.
  12. This set really isn't the greatest but it has a nice overall "appeal factor". It's the thought of an old sunken Spanish Galleon, the gold treasure, and an adventure sub to go searching through the mysterious deep waters in search of the unknown. The box art adds to the appeal. I'm still debating if I want this set, but I do like it even though it could have been 100 times better with a larger and more designed shipwreck.
  13. The word "quaint" comes to mind. It reminds me of a Hansel & Gretel cottage. Very nice.
  14. Good news. A new pirate ride at Legoland may mean a new pirate theme for Lego. They have to have products for their gift shops. I remember when Dino Attack came out, Legoland made a dino coaster around the same time.
  15. Very impressive. Anyone notice the mysterious pirate map in one of the pictures?
  16. Welcome to Eurobricks Brickchick (I like your name). You have a nice display of some great sets. I like how you've got some of the older town sets (like the old Red Town House - always loved this set), and newer sets like the Christmas Train. Looks like you've got some tight quarters for your display and having a small table myself, I can certainly sympothize. In any case, great collection and again, welcome.
  17. Very creative M85. I think that it's a neat concept. Do you still have this? I think that having some color might have really enhanced the overall mine.
  18. Thanks BM. Appreciate the nomination. I'd like to enter all of Grave Stone as one MOC:
  19. Very nice Tony. And welcome to Eurobricks. I hope they keep the park open.
  20. I probably would not buy if it were real.
  21. It is common to have a caboose in the same color(s) as the engine; although I rarely see the same when the train is rolling. Here's a shot of the real thing:
  22. Nice job Klaus. You've got a great diorama there! Look forward to seeing more of your MOCs. And willkommen to Eurobricks.
  23. That is pretty impressive Norro. I like the Kracken. The builder has definately captured a great battle between the creature and the Vikings. It reminds me of the scene from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
  24. Thanks. I didn't rate this set a 5, but rather a 4 (I think). I don't think it was Lego's flagship of the pirate theme, but it is a nice set. I really like the colors and the figs.
