  1. Given previous discussion of the enigmatic "Leaf" theme here, this just might be of some pertinence... P.S. Take note of the hashtags...
  2. Nice! I really love the color choices for this one, especially for that "Cardinal" recolor... ...plus, I dig that new beanie mold!
  3. Here's a rather simple vignette submitted today worthy of mention here... LEGO Ideas - Forest Fortress by Blocker007
  4. I think this pretty much confirms that Hidden Side did well in terms of sales. If it wouldn't have done well, then they probably wouldn't have decided to keep the augmented reality thing going. So, apparently @Falconfan1414 had this to share over on Instagram...
  5. You don't say... ...did your acquaintance say he outright described it as a Pirate theme? Any chance he was rather speaking of The Pirate Bay?
  6. This guy's hairpiece/headgear very much reminds me of The Beast as seen in Disney's 2017 remake of Beauty and the Beast... Come to think of it, there's an idea for a CMF archetype right there: a Cursed Prince!
  7. Well, my preference for original, in-house Space lines is actually based more in principle, as it's not so much about what themes past have given us, but what they are capable of giving us. As you had put it... So yeah, I pretty much know what to expect from LEGO Star Wars; and for the most part, it just doesn't offer much that's up my alley aesthetically-speaking. With in-house Space themes though, I can actually hope and expect to see something that just could be closer to my likening...
  8. Ah, thanks! Seems like I've actually never heard of that folkloric figure before after all...
  9. Come to think it, maybe it'll instead be placed under the Speed Champions theme...
  10. Huh, good point, perhaps I'll account for such for my own rankings... Best D2C Set: 75810 The Upside Down Best Non-D2C Playset: 70830 Sweet Mayhem's Systar Starship! Best Theme: Creator Expert Best Minifigure: Either Clutch Powers from 40342 or Michael Keaton's Batman from 76139 Best Collectable Minifigure (CMF): Series 19 Jungle Explorer Best Minidoll: Sweet Mayhem/General Mayhem Best Part: 42862 & 48165, Left & Right Roof Tiles 3X3, Deg. 45/18/45 Most Disappointing: Series 19's Galactic Bounty Hunter (final product had inferior printing compared to render) Most Anticipated for 2020: Series 20 (set no. 71027) and the mysterious "Leaf" theme (set no. 71360-71377) P.S. Later on, I might share my own "honorable mentions" for most of those categories.
  11. Does anyone here see this becoming a set somewhere down the road?
  12. For those interested, @Zusammengebaut has posted an interview they'd done with @Masao Hidaka back at Skaerbaek Fan Weekend 2019...
  13. Even if you posted this over at the LEGO Star Wars subforum, the turnout to this discussion topic would be very biased either way... Anyways, you're likely familiar already with my own preferences, so I needn't state it... ...good points though I'll say; obvious, but worth stating.
  14. That is seriously epic-looking right there!!! I'm particularly fond of the cockpit design myself!
  15. I feel like I should know who this archetype's representing, yet I'm drawing a blank... Interesting... ...when was that?
  16. I can't wait for it to get delayed yet again Also coming 2022... Collider - ‘Shazam 2’ Set for April 2022 Release One Week Before ‘Spider-Verse’ Sequel
  17. Thanks to @StoneWarsDE, I think we can safely rename this topic LEGO Dots 2020... StoneWars - LEGO Catalog 2020: A First Look at the German Catalog
  18. So, as courtesy of @StoneWarsDE... StoneWars - LEGO Catalog 2020: A First Look at the German Catalog
  19. My favorites so far have to be Day 7's "Ravenna" and Day 10's Puss in Boots...
  20. AFOL feedback was critical component in TLG's 2004 restructuring you know...
  21. Fun design! To me, it has a particular '40s feel about it...
  22. Not my first choice out of the fifteen selected entries, but a very well-designed build nonetheless, quite fitting to complement the Modular line. I do hope though that the final product will retain most if not all of the original submission's NPU.
  23. Just as some food for thought... The Wrap - DC Comics ‘The Flash’ Solo Movie Gets July 2022 Release Date
  24. I've likely expressed this here earlier, but given the four year cycles we've seen for "Exploration" subthemes like Space and Arctic, I could see 2020's subtheme being a follow-up to both 2015's Deep Sea Explorers and 2016's Volcano Explorers, hypothetically with a premise revolving around deep-sea exploration of ocean floor volcanic vents. Huh, I've never thought of Cave Exploration before for City... ...not a bad idea!
  25. Not sure if this will be of interest to other fellow "Adventurers" here, but next year's 76150 Spiderjet vs. Venom Mech has an awfully nice legs & torso combo off of its Spider-Man Noir figure that looks generically reusable for a Pulp Era 1930's crimefighter like The Shadow or The Green Hornet...
