  1. Plus, if it is indeed a "big bang" theme, a good chunk of that eighteen-set launch wave could be taken up by Spinjitzu/Speedorz-type sets.
  2. Throwing in the "trenchcoat" cape from Overwatch's Reaper figure would also certainly help the look...
  3. Did anyone else here notice those Black & Blue dual-molded short legs? I could see those who figbarf superheroes finding them useful...
  4. Heh, I've totally forgotten that they did give us a Green Futuron Spaceman, so I guess there's a precedent for such...
  5. They've already given these characters plenty of mecha, helicopters, fighter jets, tanks, motorcycles, and off-roaders, so what harm could be done in equipping them with freaking starfighters? Well, it would've been cool if they'd done a crossover with Nexo Knights.
  6. Well, we didn't even know the set numbers for Hidden Side up until the theme was officially announced at February's NYTF, so I'd probably expect the same for this theme.
  7. New Elementary - LEGO® SPEED CHAMPIONS 2020: DESIGNER INTERVIEW WITH CHRISTOPHER STAMP
  8. Either way, I just want to see me some more Trans-Yellow windshield and canopy recolors from further Bat-Vehicle builds...
  9. This new "ice guy" figure sourced from the LEGO Store's Build-A-Minifig tower may be of interest to fantasy builders here... HelloBricks - New Pack of Minifigs Never Seen Before in LEGO Store, with a Pink Elephant!
  10. Actually, all of those I'm pretty sure have been featured at this topic of @leafan's which may want to check out...
  11. Wow, I would've never expected to see anything as random as that from BAM... It's strange, because a figure like that seems like it should've come from some sorta in-house playtheme that we have yet to see...
  12. If they were all just Batman-themed sets once again, they could make it worthwhile and have all the Bat-Vehicles adopt the Red/Black/Dark Grey/Trans-Yellow color scheme that The LEGO Batman Movie utilized...
  13. That's what I'd otherwise expect from Lego, but as I've noted... ...but then again, some insiders described Nexo Knights as "Steampunk" before everyone else got their first look at it...
  14. So.....do we have any idea at this point as to whether or not this theme lives on for 2020? It seemed like everyone figured it was canceled...
  15. Well, no, I wasn't necessarily suggesting that, but that would be kinda cool. Come to think of it, we have yet to see a Classic Spaceman in a variant shade of a "Classic" color (i.e. Lime Green rather than "Classic" Green, Dark Red rather than "Classic" Red, and so forth). And you know, I personally think a Dark Azur or Flame Yellowish Orange spaceman might make for some particularly cool-looking variants. Heh, I guess his helmet does look like it was crafted from an orange peel... I was looking at those! I love trans purple, but the shape is a bit curvy. I wonder how weird it would look as a windscreen. Brickset has a good look at the assembly if you're interested... Brickset - Review: 41251 Poppy's Pod
  16. Ah, I see... Yeah, back when it was at its most active, there just wasn't much at all to work off of, so the speculation was much broader.
  17. As a side note, we did sorta already see an Orange Classic Spaceman as a LEGO Games microfigure in 3842 Lunar Command...
  18. Um, what do you mean by that?
  19. Well, I certainly didn't see that coming... ...paging @danth & @Renny The Spaceman...
  20. New Elementary - LEGO® SPEED CHAMPIONS 2020: THE NEW PIECES
  21. Nah, I'm no insider... ...but seriously, how else could Classic themes such as Pirates & Castle (at the very least) dwell under a single playtheme with a centralized premise? To me, it doesn't really sound like it'll be a fusion of the two in the same way Nexo Knights amalgamated Castle and Space together, as they've been separately described by @Itaria No Shintaku and @Falconfan1414 as "Classic" themes, meaning they must be comparably recognizable to such. Well, I suppose I could see the AR thing being applied to Series 20 or other future CMS; but, as for Series 20 tying into this "Leaf" theme, that I can't see. I mean, a CMS that's strictly Historical would be cool to see, but Series 20 has to pay heed to all nineteen Series that came before for the theme's tenth anniversary, so it'd have to also include "City" archetypes and those "costumed" guys... I should mention, there is also this topic if you aren't already familiar with it... I find it even more interesting that Pirates still seems to be the prime emphasis circling around this "Leaf" theme...
  22. This is definitely of some pertaince here... Brick Fanatics - LEGO The Fast and the Furious Set Rumoured for 2020
  23. Well, for starts, they currently own DreamWorks and Illumination, which makes me wonder if they'll have either one of those two handling further cinematic Lego Movies, or if they'll just give the job back to the animators at Animal Logic for such.
  24. When do you think it's most likely to get the first leaked pictures of the sets? I keep waiting for more news about this line but nothing comes out. LEGO really wants to keep it as secret as they can for some reason... Like I mentioned earlier, there was a promo image for Hidden Side spotted at 2019's Nuremberg Toy Fair a month before that theme was officially announced at NYTF, so perhaps we can expect the same to happen next month at the earliest...
