  1. Irrespective of the character, the figure itself is pretty nice in terms of parts and as a whole.
  2. Is that supposed to be an unprinted Metallic Silver minifigure head seen under there?
  3. So, what do you personally consider to be your favorite(s) and/or the best Action/Adventure Theme(s) of the 1990's? Share your thoughts and elaborations in both the poll and discussion topic here! P.S. Also share your thoughts on your favorite Action/Adventure Themes of the 2000's and 2010's too! 6. Unfortunately no, at least for that particular canopy part. Probably, that or the Special Themes subforum due to this mod's basis being a Creator set. As always, someone like @WhiteFang or @Rick can assess and assist in turn with such.
  7. Here's a Castle-themed LEGO Ideas project worth mentioning here that was submitted just today: Classic Castle by DERBOOR
  8. Here are two further CS-themed projects submitted just today! Mobile Command Center and Scout Ship by Nihils_Maw Space All-Terrain Exploration Vehicle by redera00
  9. Ulterior motive aside, I think it's still an interesting subject matter to ponder.
  10. I have pondered that possibility, as I've figured designers must have cooked up some rather realized playsets for the movie due to its originally set release date of May 2019. If not finalized playsets, at least there are definitely on-screen vehicular builds completed for the film.
  11. A-54 Stinger Vic Viper by James Asbury Eagle by @kobalt1977 American S-5 Hyperfighter by Shannon Sproule Alright, thanks! I'm sure he'll be publishing some photos of it soon after its publicity rounds.
  12. For me, what impresses me the most about TBBR/TLBR is that it's a spinoff seemingly not based upon any particular preexisting property such as Batman or Ninjago.
  13. I can definitely agree with you on the superiority in quality of the cinematic tie-in sets over other playthemes' offerings, and perhaps it is a bit unfair to partly blame the Lego Movies for the increasing absence of in-house themes. After all, the Lego Movies aren't stopping TLG from acquiring further licenses at a record pace.
  14. You think there'll be no future generations of AFOLs after us?
  15. I wouldn't mind that happening honestly, because for as great as they've been, these movies have been seemingly eating into Lego's product line-up somewhat, making it hard for other themes (in-house lines in particular) to find room to set-up shop and establish themselves.
  16. Aw yeah, that is one sweet recolor of a most kick-brick Creator set!!! Could've been even cooler if it had some Bright Red striping and Trans-Yellow canopies, TLBM-style!
  17. Space Base on Earth by Yu Chris Void Reaper by Scott Wilhelm Unnamed Technic Figure-Scaled Classic Spacecraft by Jacob Sadovich Crap, do you have additional pictures of that build?! That looks like a hyperbolically BIGGER take on his initial Galaxy Explorer!!!
  18. Unless some major economic/political/ecological/planetary disaster occurs sometime within the Twenty-First Century, I think TLG and the LEGO System shall persevere no matter what low points the company may run into in the decades ahead. Given that it's now reached a near Disney-like presence in the public consciousness, if TLG fails to be some time in future due to whatever it may potentially befall, there'll be someone who grew up with their legacy willing to resurrect it from any crippled state it may find itself in, even if that means rebuilding it from the ground up.
  19. You must be confused. There's never been anything to suggest that TBBR/TLBR will be acting as any sort of follow-up to TLBM, as they're two distinct developments. That is, unless you've definitely heard something to the contrary, which I haven't.
  20. I'm not asking for the theme to cut back on elements such as motorbikes, dragons, temples, and the such, nor am I suggesting that they shouldn't coexist under the same roof. As my very subjective, by-no-means superior opinion, I'd just find it much more tasteful if all those shared elements had a more overarching, genre-specific look.
  21. An official Lunar/Martian base akin to both those examples would be great to see from Lego's own subtheme.
  22. While they very well could've rejected your project for all those above-stated reasons, perhaps they instead did so due to confliction with this purported D2C.
  23. Those ghostly ones I feel will be a bit more challenging to reuse outside of the context of "ghosts" and what not.
  24. Like I had said from the very beginning, their emulation of such is often handled much too loosely.
  25. Agreed, as heroic/villainous archetypes within both licensed and non-licensed CMSs are my favorite!
