When Should Ninjago End?
Digger of Bricks replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It's not so much the previous themes as they once were that they yearn for but a revisitation to the subject matters that they were based upon. Who said Lego can't give those themes the same treatment that Ninjago has received, just perhaps on a smaller scale? -
When Should Ninjago End?
Digger of Bricks replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
As it has been pointed out elsewhere in the past, Mars Mission, Space Police III, Alien Conquest, and Galaxy Squad only coexisted with Star Wars when there wasn't an ongoing cinematic trilogy at the time. 2007's Mars Mission (the first in-house Space theme in six years) came two years after the cinematic release of Ep. III while Disney's The Force Awakens came two years after 2013's Galaxy Squad, and we haven't seen another in-house Space theme since... -
Ah, nice! I'll be looking most forward to such...

By the way @Aurore, somewhat similar to this CMS, would you ever consider doing a FigBarf Series with a Pulp Adventurer theme, kinda in the same vein as your Jungle Princess vignette MOC?

When Should Ninjago End?
Digger of Bricks replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Regarding the first half of this question, I think @UberCorp's on the right track... As for how Lego can fittingly bring a proper close to the theme, I don't know how to answer that myself given that the theme somewhat leans on the tie-in show's narrative which I don't follow; but, I do feel that the theme's final wave should at least stray closer to Medieval Japanese Fantasy than something modernistically Cyberpunk. Well, what I'd want to succeed it would be a big-bang scaled spiritual successor to Adventurers... ...but as for what can properly fill the void it leaves behind, I'd guess it's safe to say that like Chima and Nexo Knights (maybe even Monkey Kid), its setting will be a anachronistic fantasy one with no relation to our place in space and time. Like Nexo Knights, it could have color-coded protagonists, or completely buck that trope like Chima had. -

Oooooh, excellent reusage idea there!!! Hmmm, it's still quite irking that a licensed theme would have the honors of being the first to provide such a long-desired archetype... -
More like NexaGo Ninja Knights...

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes

I'm admittedly rather fond of that new ninja hood mold myself, though I really don't know if historical/fantasy builders are going to find it at all useful... -
For one-and-done ninja hood molds that have become so annoyingly commonplace with this theme, I must confess these latest ones are kinda too cool for me to fret about. I don't know, maybe I just miss Nexo Knights...

Maybe the Community subforum then? That's where @LegoModularFan's "Making Eurobricks More Active" topic resides after all, a discussion topic that's pertinent to Eurobricks beyond the realm of technical help...

Looks more like the Airport shuttle logo to me. Although LEGO suggesting that drone fliers should be doing it near airports is likely to be controversial. Wow, very much so... ...good spot there!

It'd have to be Sand Purple for me, though I don't know much need there is for it given that we already have a few different "lilac" shades in the current spectrum now. Beside that though, it'd also be cool if they reintroduced short-lived "Metallic" colors such as Metallic Green or Metal Blue, though I'd imagine those would be even less likely to ever be reintroduced.

I don't want to get wrapped-up into this discussion, but shouldn't this have been posted in the Forum Information and Help subforum?

So, what are Leaf, IP-2 and Zebra?
Digger of Bricks replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Though it seems to be kicking-off with mosaics for now, I wonder if "Zebra" will end-up being a much broader theme beyond just that, maybe more in the vein of Creator/Creator Expert's broader scope? Really, the codenames never seem to hint at anything, as Hidden Side was codenamed "Banana" while "Leaf" is either Super Mario or Monkey Kid. -
Whenever that may be, as I'm afraid this year's LEGO Fan Media Days event (where most of those designer interviews would've taken place) may likely be put on hold with the COVID-19 outbreak, as a meet-and-greet with designers @Nabii, @marcosbessa, and Justin Ramsden has been rescheduled for 2021 due to such.

Oh, I see, interesting... -
Well, for me the font of the "T" doesn't have to be that spot-on, as the green, white, and red torso colors, the dark blue legs, and the turquoise ball cap all point to that character being a possible design inspiration/homage.

If so, that surprisingly doesn't sound all that novel or groundbreaking given that @Falconfan1414 said some months ago that it'll be a "game changer"... -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
A Cryptozoologist. Ooooooh, I like that idea! An Archaeologist is a must for me as far as future CMF go, though I couldn't imagine Lego making a Phoenix statue the relic of choice for that archetype, as it'd more likely be something more stereotypical to such like a humanoid statuette or pottery much like @Robert8's own Archaeologist and Adventurer... -
An entire custom Series made up of "[insert here]-ologists" archetypes? I LOVE IT!!! It'd be awesome to see any of these more particular ideas come to future Series of Lego's, and I haven't heard of so many of these professions before either! My favorite designs have to be the Primatologist, the Herpetologist (excellent reuse of Poe's Nathan Drake torso BTW), and the Mineralogist...

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Immediately, the first thing I wondered is what CMF archetype could use a recolor of such for a future unlicensed Series. Anyone got any ideas?
