Do we know that it's in the City theme? Or is it more like a Space Police reboot? -

I doubt that's coming anytime soon. They did one in 2007 then not again til 2016. The 2016 one sucked and was way too expensive so I missed out on it. -

Prison Island sub theme was in 2016 For my personal layout, I wouldn't mind seeing garbage and/or recyling trucks, a gas truck, and a tow truck. -
Anyone have any idea on how the 2015 City Space sets sold? I am torn on paying secondary prices for either 60080 or 6339 (1995) but would probably wait if I had a decent feeling that some new sets were going to be released in the next couple of years.

Everything I have read said to just rebuild the assembly. Something was probably messed up along the way.
-
So you would have to have a separate controller for each train?
-
I wonder how you switch channels. I don't see any buttons to change it, unless its the center green one.
-
Awesome set. Long overdue.
-
I like the set, but had a choice to either build a theme park or spend the money on the Ninjago City sets and have some extra room for future modular. Went with the latter.

For the price of the rechargeable battery box you can buy an absolute ton of rechargeable AAA's. I just use regular batteries as mine don't run that often. I have 7 trains so it would cost me $380 for 7 rechargeable battery boxes and the charger. I can buy 1,441 AAA batteries for that amount.

Has there been any indication about lighting for these? Seems like they would have to make all new lighting cables.
-
Why are there 2 cables? Wouldn't it just need 1 for the motor?
-
After seeing all the photos, I like the cargo train less and the passenger train more.
-
I don't think I'll be able to have the room (and justify the $$$) for both. Roller Coaster just looks so boring and tedious to build.
-
I am torn between ninjago city and this. Been going back and forth in my mind for weeks.
-
It's like it was meant to be the same set. I wonder how many total Ninjago modulars we end up with. It would have to be at least 2 more 48x32 plots then either two 32x32 ones or one giant 64x32 one.

Brothers Brick had them listed at $15.99 USD, same as before.
-
I'm stressed out just looking at them
-
I'm on the fence because it is a huge $$$ commitment, but I was going to do a standalone table since I won't have room in my main city. The table will be in a separate room and will have a Jurassic Park type feel since it would only be accessible by plane or boat.

I am guessing (and hoping) the next cargo train will come with 1 point to balance it out. I don't think we will get a Toys R Us exclusive like 2011 and 2015 so the next cargo train probably won't be here til 2022.
-
The ones now are $15.99 USD MSRP and are usually on sale for $11.99ish. I wonder if the sale price will be similar for the new ones even if they're $19.99 MSRP.

I would be surprised if it's power functions compatible. The tender doesn't look big enough to house the battery box and I don't see any driving mechanism in the engine.
-
The tender isn't that big so unfortunately it doesn't look power functions compatible without a mod.
-
Station is fantastic on the new HP train. Wonder if it's power functions compatible though.

Whoa, 16 straight rails. No wonder it's gonna be $250.
