Is this based off of actual evidence or just guesses? -

Can we stop complaining about the price? If it's too expensive then just don't buy it. It's really that simple. -

I would imagine the next would be a MBS, but I haven't heard any rumors. It would make sense to do a $200 UCS in May then a MBS in October. -

It's an "OI-CT" which is a heavy crane walker. -

Looks incredible, but in that video there are a couple points where you can see inside and see the colored bricks. I don't have an issue with the price. It's 46" long. Large plates are going to cost more than 1x1 studs. -

I am hoping that officer is Ozzel, Piett, Jerjerrod, or Needa. Probably not though since those guys served on the SSD. -

Definitely. Hell, the UCS Falcon is literally from 2 different trilogies. I am shocked their hasn't even been a leaked minifig so far. -

I think it's definitely a Rogue One set, since that is what move it appeared in. Nobody even knew what the VR thing was until that weird blue pilot fig leaked. -
42110 - Land Rover Defender
Eaglefan344 replied to 1gor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I would consider the Mack and Car Transporter to be the same series since the engines are similar as well as the scale. The Land Rover looks to be in it's whole new zone. I would expect a pickup truck next but who knows. -
What's your no1 LEGO SW Set of All Time?

Favorite that I have built is the 2015 Imperial Shuttle. Favorite overall is the 2014 Sandcrawler. Bought it recently but haven't built yet. -
What are the chances a sail barge is released in 2020? I'm debating if the 2013 one is worth $150

How can they possibly justify bumping up the price by $10? -

I just built the 2017 Landspeeder like a week ago. I was at least hoping we would get some good new minifigs with these sets. I'll pass on both. -
Very pleased with the end result. Took a while to get it running smoothly but I think I have it running pretty good. It could be a little faster but it's good enough.
-
Decided to go ahead and order the parts for this in earth blue. I'll post pics once everything is up and running.

Mine has a motor, battery box, and IR receiver in each loco. Polarity switch on the rear one. I haven't had many issues with derailing as long as it's going a reasonable speed. I don't have the extra jacob's bogeys so maybe that's the issue?
-
Yeah if they still produced the train windows I would have this by now. I will probably just pass on it. The square windows just don't look right.

Building a custom Emerald Night and have the following substitutions to get the price down. I plan to build 2 or 3 carriages. Sub the 2 x 3 x4 slopes with gold trim to slopes with no trim - plan on buying aftermarket stickers for that Sub the train base to a train base with 2x2 cutouts rather than 1x2 cutouts Sub front dish with studded dish Sub train windows with newer style Hogwarts Express type windows The one part that is going to cost a ton are the two hoses. The large one is going for around $20. Any ideas on which parts to sub these with? Possibly a longer variant that I could cut? The color options aren't really ideal.

Risk of buying retired sets with large # of brown parts

More worried about putting stickers on the parts then having them break. -
Risk of buying retired sets with large # of brown parts
Eaglefan344 posted a topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm looking at picking up the UCS Sandcrawler (2014) and Jabba's Sail Barge (2013) but am uneasy due to so many stories about brown parts breaking. I have had a few break myself. LEGO apparently fixed the issue this year but this was well after these sets came out obviously. Has anyone opened one of these sets recently? If so, how did it go? -

I was thinking the UCS rebel pilots were. Only ones I know of for sure are C-3PO, Boba Fett UCS, Tie Fighter Pilot UCS. -

Yeah I agree for the UCS. I recently rebuilt all my 1999-2003 sets and there wasn't a single sticker. Made them hold up really well.
