  1. I never had a dark age, but I sometimes lose interest and start focussing on some other hobby, but I always come back. But it seems my hobby's can't coexist together. Ha ha!
  2. That's great advice! I use custom couplers on my monorails and they work great! But depending on how you design them, they can be a little hard to disconnect. Here's a great shunter model using a M motor. https://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=RQ3QQMQSiWM
  3. M motor, s brick, battery box, and a set of the large train wheels = a really cool shunter engine! Like this for example.
  4. Yes! My sentiment's exactly! And yes, about the high price tag idea I know what your saying, but weather your spending $50 for 500 parts or $500 for 5000 parts, the 10 cents a brick formula remains the same. (Except for star wars, which must have a huge licencing fee I would guess). Yes, galaxy squad wasn't classic space, but it was a space theme. And the chances that Lego will do another are small. (1) it probably won't do to good and (2) it would interfere with star wars. So to make a expert series set, be it large or small, is the way to go I think.
  5. Great! I would love to see how the firing mechanism works! Contraptions are one of my favorite things to find online. As well as designing my own.
  6. Cool! How about the firing mechanism, Looks easy to load. You should take a video of it shooting down targets.
  7. Very clever. Thumbs up.
  8. Agreed. And unfortunately dimensions has been (or will be) discontinued. I new from the start it would not last very long. Sorry ?
  9. Ahhhhh! Of course! The RC buggy motors. Heh, totally forgot about those. I don't know why I thought L motors. Maybe 4 when geared up, but even that couldn't pump out the speed and torque your model does. But man 4 RC motors? Does the Blacktron Corporation have that kind of money? LOL.
  10. WOW! It's fast, nimble, functional, stylish, what more could you ask for right? Bet you used L motors eh? Let me know. Thumbs up.
  11. Very nice! Good usage of SNOT. Sort of like a compact viper. Thumbs up.
  12. Cute and compact little glider! Thumbs up.
  13. As is Les Miserables, but the musical Hugh Jackman joke never gets old! As goes my other favorite, the frozen HISHE! Got to check that one out if you haven't already.
  14. Who's watched the HISHE for Logan? I won't spoil, but it's really funny!
  15. This forum! Har Har!
  16. Does YouTube count? Because the HISHE for Logan was hilarious!
  17. It is in my opinion that had there been no star wars episode 7, ST would have died peacefully, it lived a long life, well respected ,delighted fans, bla bla bla. Oh sure, there's the TV shows but... The big screen was the most important part of the cake! (I could have said frosting, but I'm really unsure which I like better). So what would have happened? Would all the memorabilia lose it's charm? What of all thee inevitable ST in the making documentary's? Probably get old fast. In short, kids will search for a new frontier. And no, I am not talking about star trek. That's Mattel. Sorry Trekkie's. Toy makers and Hollywood would be quick to provide to a large market of sci fi lovers! And hopefully, Lego would provide a big bang space theme which would be as smashingly popular as say...ninjago!? Now There's something to daydream about! And as it increases in popularity, you would probably get a TV show and inevitablely...(drum roll)...THE LEGO SPACE MOVIE!!!!! Hap happy days! But..."sigh". It's not going to happen. Thanks star wars.
  18. Very nice! A good mix of new and classic building styles. Some of the best are that way! Thumbs up.
  19. Everyone remembers galaxy squad. Some liked it, some didn't. But everyone can probably agree that it was our last original, thought out, classic space theme. I liked it, but probably not the kids. At least that's what I suspect, considering the mark downs at Walmart. Because "nooooooo no no no"! Kids didn't want this. They wanted this! "Sigh" So where does that leave us? Stuck buying something like this? So I'm thinking "If kids want Star Wars, why not make sets aimed towards adults?" Creator Expert Series anyone? Why not make a $100 to $500 dollar classic space for AFOL? What do you think?
  20. Agreed! I always liked six wide trains, but an eight wide train would be a fun project if it had this function in it! Unique little contraptions like these are one of my favorite things when it comes to moc's. As well as making them my self.
  21. Thanks!?
  22. I saw this, and I was like "uhhhhhhhhh..."? . Nice entrance ! Kramer style ! https://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=XXSGV5wEv1o
  23. https://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=O4oaXn80ak8
  24. Cute.
  25. I think Lego needs to make another "multiple in one"train creator set. Like 10183. That would be GREAT! And even though they tested a monorail concept with kids,(which apparently didn't make them go ooh! and ahh!) I'd really like to see how it looked and worked. Maybe in the future hopefully. Oh and about space themes? I CURSE star wars! MWAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! I want a classic space theme soooooo bad! And some people disagree, but I thought galaxy squad was great. But, I guess kids wanted star wars. ?
