  1. It looks more cool than the original set. I don't want to buy 42096 - bad shaping, simple chassis, small amount of parts for that price (ofc, I remember set is licensed by Porsche). THIS model deserves to be an official set more than the original car.
  2. @VKTechnic, ok, thanks) anyway, all questions will be answered after testing :)
  3. @VKTechnic, sorry, could you explain, why do you need so complex setup? You use servos for controlling pneumatics (according to your words on flickr). Maybe, real car really needs gearbox control module and hydraulics (or something else to shift gears) to be separated. But in Lego car your setup seems to be a little more complicated and overweighted compared to it's possible version. Why not to make a mechanical control of your gearbox via servos directly? Anyway, with pneumatics, you need an automatic air compressor - it adds more weight (again) and needs more room in model.
  4. Flickr is really good for storing pics and sharing links of them with easy adjustment of pics size
  5. It's beautiful!! Thanks a lot! You did a very important job.
  6. Hello, @nicjasno! I have a question. Does a usage of standard Lego steering links cause a slack while rotating suspension struts? Because I noticed this problem. I remember, your Mustang and Challenger had steering links built out with bionicle parts. I tried that setup a few years ago - that was a really precise and reliable setup, you are a true master of lego-engineering. I have to say, you inspired me a lot in building models (not only cars) with goals to make them robust and playable. Thank you in advance!
  7. The new series of a "Pimp my ride" went really extreme)) it's very impressive, no words. The community definitely need this-like models and builders like you!
  8. I got this parts today (without set, can't say anything about support) and discovered these CV-joints don't rotate flawlessly like their predecessors (because they are made in such way). So, I even expect and hope these parts will get some 'damage' for the less-friction usage.
  9. The 8458 was the very first set with this type of suspension. And it was pretty heavy for only 4 shock absorbers...
  10. Maybe. I am so passionate with fast and light cars that I forgot that a winch exists at all)
  11. Hmm, is it the rubber piece (45590)? I doubt it's for the anti-roll bar.
  12. Thanks) Maybe, but i don't know when - I'm a little bored of unfinished projects, so I have to complete them first.
  13. Thank you very much!) Indeed, it's a really good feeling to watch it "burns" :)
  14. You can connect table in way you want, with gap or without it. That is the sense of modular constructions.
  15. Thank you!) btw, that's a 2x4 tile)
  16. Perfect creation! 4 L-motors for a such small car... :D
  17. Hello all around here! I'd like to present you one of my latest MOCs - "The fireplace". More photos: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmxKvMeC PF: 1 x 88000 batbox 2 x pair of LEDs 1 x M-motor Features: - "burning flame" effect; - easy access to batbox; - easy changeable back-walls; - base's module structure. You can find BI here: rebrickable Thanks for watching!)
  18. Probably, all of you already know the story that 5 years ago one AFOL created a paddle shift sequential gearbox: 3 years later TLG releases 42056 with a sequential gearbox which had bad implementation of that AFOL's idea. The same year, TLG launches "Technic ultimate contest: Build the Porsche of your dreams!". I participated with this work: Just look at my front lights and then look at 42096's lights. Those lights couldn't be the car's best part when the car had a 6 cylinder boxer LPE and a front McPherson suspension (but i like them anyway). TLG could release 42056 with this version of the lights, but, once again, they steal ideas.
  19. This is the whole gearbox with the stepper. One step = 90 degree rotating. Maybe, you are talking about stepper with shifting mechanism.
  20. I think, Paul Boratko made this one: 4-speed-gearbox
  21. Well, let's exclude our votes for ourselves, I agree. But this must be done by every participant. I'l edit my votes.
  22. Here are my results: 1. Marxpek. Awesome presentation - it made me smile a lot!) And this "creature" is really fast! 2. mocbuild101. A plane that drives well!) 3. offroadcreat1ons. Wanted to see a modified truck and here it is. 4. MangaNOID. Good idea with flywheels! 5. sirslayer. Nice job! It was really fun to participate!
