[OL - Jun FB2] Drunken tales, or is it...
Bodi replied to Brandon Stark's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Cow mounted artillery, good idea, Brandon. -
I love these builds, some great techniques here. The Mardierians on Malto should certainly appreciate the corries' initivative, helping them to rebulld their properties, and like all humantarian projects, I imagine the redcoats will leave the island once they've accomplished their mission.

When I saw the first picture, I said to myself, nice tower. Then i scrolled down, it's only a part of the build, it's jaw dropping. It's grandiose! I like the idea of hollowed-out tower, we can see all the details inside, the use of prefab hulls are brilliant too, they fit so well with the rest of the structure, if you have not mentioned them in the text, I'll never notice them. The same for the white plate on the main bell, it blends perfectly into the whole build with its gold and white colour scheme. Impressive work, captain Dee!

[SR - FB1 june 17] small acre of Tobacco
Bodi replied to Professor Thaum's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That's a big plantation, filled with details, I like the rabbit in his hole and the elevated ground. I agree with the others for the terrain, you may consider to build ridges between the rows of tobacco. -
Nice ship, Ltfalcon, filled with tons of details, and the overall shape is excellent.

The Search for the lost Captain - Part 1: Preparations
Bodi replied to Legostone's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice sigfigs, LS, especially the Monezterrell one, I do have his head, but not the torso, it should be a hard to find now. I second BD, the old cape is a good idea. More pictures of the ship please, and the dinghies'. -
[COR - ChVE - Part 3] Dr. Brickingstone, I presume
Bodi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Interesting story and nice diorama. I like your idea of vanished culture, judging by the architecture, maybe their ancestors are descendants of Atlantis? What attracts the most attention is the rocket-like pillars. -
Challenge V - Princes of Garvey - RESULTS POSTED!

Nice shoot! I suggest Emile to get a sniper rifle to continue his job. I like your idea of telling a story with simple but effective building.

Being for the Benefit of Mr. Henderson
Bodi replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Cute little building, clever use of parts. -
Nice interior and furniture, the tiled floor gives impression of polished hardwood, brilliant. So monsieur Red plays saber and guitar, he definitely got some taste.

Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Bodi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Than you Jacob! Good to hear your answer, I'll place the wheel in the front then, that means I should move the grilling forward or shorten it. The height of the cabin is a concern to me too, a lower cabin should look better I think. For the pocket ship, I'll place 30 guns on it and rate it a 5HA, just kidding. Ok, not a poop deck, that's alarming! That means a lot of work to do. But in the right way, awesome. Thank you for your professional advices, master Kurigan, I appreciate that very much. -
[SR - CH V E - Pt 1] Well, well
Bodi replied to Professor Thaum's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Yes, fine pier, I may steal its design. -
That's a lot of dirt, Sinbad should be proud of owning such fine fields. Considering the current price of pinapple, it may bring even more whealth than plundering.

Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Bodi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Hello! Here are two ships I'm building now: The first one is a sort of pocket battleship, I draw inspiration from KB's Tuna Spirit, I thought it will be fun if I could build it in real brick. I'm not sure if I'll be allowed to license a ship like this. If not, I can always raze the upper deck and transform it into a brig, maybe. The second is more conventional, a small two-decker on 5 midsections, 50-gun once completed. I have some questions for this one: where should I place the wheel, in the front or behind the mizzen mast, on some ships, the wheel is in the front of the mizzen mast and on others, it's behind the mast. Also, should I cover the poop area, i.e. build a poop deck, or leave it like this, décapotable (sorry, I don't know the correct english term),because I've seen both on ship models, some with fully covered poop deck, and some with open poop, like a frigate. -
Congrats to the winners! Hurray, Oleon won again.

Nice! I'm impatient to get my hands on one of these jungle sets, for the machetes, and the panther and the leopard!
-
Good writing and cool minifigs! Is the machete from the new jungle theme?

The lawyer is the hors la loi highwayman, arrest him! I like the clean look of the building, the bridge is nicely built too.

[OL-FB] Small Warehouse in Fatu Hiva
Bodi replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Interesting build! The roof made from cmf plates is amazing, did you pose the plates randomly or did they intended to represent some letters, words? I've also noticed one of the three men on the left is wearing a strange headgear, a helmet? -

Give them more rum, they will work even harder, our expanding infrastrutures need more materials. i really like how you built the rocks.
