  1. New parts are on Bricks and Pieces already?! That was fast! I guess I need to make another order
  2. The correct color is normal Blue (LEGO calls it Bright Blue). This set does not come with Dark Blue liftarms, they did not appear until later. The color inconsistency could be due to different batches of plastic, I know Blue used to be notorious for color inconsistencies.
  3. What do they mean by 20 new elements? Do they mean that 20 normal elements were added to the counterweight specifically or did they design 20 entirely new parts for the set?
  4. Did anyone notice that we have our first Technic parts in the new Neon Yellow? This is awesome! I will definitely get them off B&P, but this set looks like a pretty good parts pack as well. Disappointed about the gears though.
  5. This sums up my feelings about this set well. The model itself looks pretty bad, but the new parts will be VERY useful to me (especially the blue panels). I won’t buy it like I didn’t buy the Ferrari, but I will definitely go to B&P again to order the new parts.
  6. @Hrafn I see three options: white axles, soft axles, or rigid hoses. Rigid hoses are the thinnest and are ideal because they can be bent (and stay bent), cut, and stuck through axle holes at precisely the desired length. I have used rigid white axles in the past.
  7. I ordered 4 weeks ago and b&p to the USA says orders expect to ship out in 4-6 weeks from order date. I am impatient as well but it is still within their timing on the website.
  8. Using non-LEGO branded parts still gives me the jibblies. I also 3D print custom parts, but there is no way I would put them in my MOCs because nobody else would be able to build them (which is why I should stop using so many rare parts, I am aware). CADA has cool in-house designed parts, but it still doesn’t feel right to me that ~60% of the parts are identical to official LEGO parts.
  9. Looks astounding! This is a seriously impressive model. It must have cost an arm and a leg for those DBG Osprey parts!
  10. What will be SUPER useful is that the new half pins with friction pair excellently with the toggle joint parts. The friction is very tight and can hold them at an infinite number of angles.
  11. @2GodBDGlory I was able to download STLs for a few of Efferman's parts off of Shapeways. That was a few years ago; I don't know if you can still do that.
  12. Thanks for the heads up! Most definitely! I don't understand why the smaller shock absorbers are more expensive than the large ones.
  13. I bought three sets two days ago; two have the larger 5x2 version and all three have the smaller one. All cross holes on every part line up properly.
  14. I noticed this as well. I think it’s safe to assume that the BL and B&P photos represent a preliminary design. This isn’t the first time LEGO has done this; in 2000, many of the sets with the 5x3 curved arch thin liftarm use an earlier version of that piece in the box art.
  15. The red axle and pin connector in the 42137 is significantly darker than the other red parts, almost to the point that it is closer to the dark red color.
  16. Rebrickable states that the red half pin in the 42134 monster truck indeed is a new part and has friction!! Also it has many new parts in medium blue. Also, the 3L axle extender (driving ring holder smooth) appears for the first time in Dark Bluish Gray in a City set.
  17. Thank you! It’s really close to the receiver end so it won’t shorten the wire my much.
  18. I need to fix a V2 receiver with a break in the wire. Has anybody found a clean way to strip the rubber coating from the end of a PF wire?
  19. Got a brand new 8408 for $50, which I think is a pretty good price.
  20. I think it will be like those flipping car toys, where there is no “mechanism” that flips it over. I bet it is meant to be driven against a wall/ramp and then flip upside down. I agree with others about using the gyro to invert controls when flipped. I believe that the wheel on top is meant to drag on the floor and push the ends of the treads higher so it flips over. The tracks definitely flip with the vehicle since you can see blue panels facing up and black panels facing down.
  21. Green 5x7 frame, wohoo! Green and blue are two colors that lack part variety in the Technic system.
  22. Now that I check again, I think you are correct. I prefer Blue over Dark Azure anyway, so I'm glad!
  23. Looks like I guessed correctly on the little panel extenders. Also, there is one of the new 2x5 panel extenders in Dark Azure on the front.
  24. I created a 3D model for the new 5x2 curved liftarm from this set. If anybody wants to experiment with building digitally with the part, let me know.
