Strange they all have different positions. My only faulty ones are form 11-01. When I look at the crooked ones the axle hole is almost “mirrored” — the asymmetrical pattern of the axle hole is backwards.

Odd, all 20 that I ordered from B&P were correct and don't have the issue. The B&P parts are almost always from the Denmark factory. Do all the faulty parts have the same mold number?

Look on the inside of the part, to the right of the outward curved flange. There should be a copyright LEGO text, as well as a mold/position number and part ID. The mold number is two numbers with a dash between them. If the box of the set has R in the code on the tape or box, then it is from the Mexico factory.

My order came in with the 20 2x3 new panel extenders and all line up fine. The faulty mold seems to be 11-01 from Mexico factory. On another note, I got two of the new pneumatic valves from 42080 and one seems broken. It will not do anything when air is put in the center and the switch is opened, and when air is put in the side ports, there is a loud hissing noise coming from inside. Does anybody else have a valve with this issue?

Can confirm. I just got 42120 today and one is quite crooked. It has to be forced into position to let an axle through the bottom and top.

I am still working on this! I was busy with some other LEGO-related activities. My Bricks&Pieces order is arriving soon with TONS of the new parts so expect an update to this in the near future. Sorry I missed this, I did not get an alert for some reason. Good idea, I still want to finish the back bumper to determine the shaping of the back, but I will experiment with a Jeep-style hatch.

My copy has the old pins, but runs made more recently will have the new pins. What is the code on the box? Usually the last digit of the code is the year it was made, so runs made in 2021 most likely have the new pin, while runs in 2020 probably don’t.

I got some in my new Porsche Creator Expert set. To be honest, they have noticeably more friction and don’t have as much of a satisfying click.

It’s not really that reinforced, I have two of them. It looks more solid but all they did is move the supporting wall from the middle outward on one side. The axle hole does not appear any more reinforced. On another note, the 3L blue pin has been redesigned in the same manner that the 2L black pin was. Question to people with set 42111: did the ball joint used for the rear suspension get updated for that set yet? My first run copy has the old ball joint, but Bricks and Pieces sent me redesigned versions of the joint parts.

I went with Caterpillar as one of the IPs since people want more construction vehicles and I would like to see a CAT set. Real is also a cool idea and some of my family members really like their cars. I also noted that pneumatic system should be implemented in many more sets rather than just one every few years.

Technic 2021 Set Discussion

I expect it will be similar to the Dodge Charger we got earlier, looks like there will be a mini series of these smaller cars. -

Haha, I would be more excited than confused, that part’s been on my wish list for a while! -

Wow, I was so confused when I had two spare pins. I thought I forgot something! -
Wouldn’t the pin version be unstable and easily twisted unless the center pin hole was an axle hole?

I've finished the chassis for the most part and now I am moving on to bodywork. I found a neat trick to get panel #5 to align with the smaller 3x7x2 panel and some beams: the micrometer pulley part makes it perfectly align with the curvature and a 1/2 pin on the 3x7 slots in to the gap in the #5 panel. More details if someone asks. I do not have enough 1x6 thin lifters to make a fourth seat yet. The chassis has a 2-speed gearbox(I would rather keep it simple) and full independent suspension. It steers with the steering wheel. Now I'm stuck. Bodywork is not my strong point, so progress will be much slower from now on. I can't find a good angle for the back trunk area. If anyone has ideas let me know. -TechnicRCRacer

Control+ General Discussion

It seems all apps want to use your location now for online connecting services, probably for region. I ran into this with another app that demanded I use high accuracy setting. -
B&P does not seem to be stocking very fast. The vast majority of the new parts are still not available.

Very old train wheels had rubber traction tires that utilized the grooves on the train track. The tires were phased out on the wheels but the grooves were not on the track.

LEGO bricQ disgussion
TechnicRCRacer replied to SNIPE's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The sets are up on Bricks and Pieces (new parts are not in stock yet) and the rereleased fan windmill blade part is listed at 114$ per piece! Is there a mistake? -
@DrJBI use Rebrickable for everything, it provides accurate information of what part is used when in what color (except for some variations like the Technic crank variation) and has useful tools to organizing your collection. It's also a hub for MOCs which all are required to have instructions. I believe the Aliexpress parts are reproductions. The part in the image is genuine due to the stamped code, but the title says "fit for" which leads me to think that they are copies of the original part. Odd that they would reproduce the part so quickly though.

The front landing gear frame piece in 42127 Race Jet is now extremely glossy instead of matte texture, no idea why.

Mine break constantly but are still usable, sometimes they completely disintegrate. I would rather have the axle holders redesigned than the pins.
